Nice and peaceful, Nabias offers a great place to start your journey or stock up on supplies before heading out to brave the rest of the wilderness out there. They also have Barakka's largest hospital facility to treat all sorts of injuries you could get out there. (+2 Precision)

It was as if his feet carried him here without knowing...

Black hair fell across his face, streaked with white here and there, and he blew it away. Though it saddened him, he most definitely did not want to appear as his heart felt. Casually strolling about, the entire place was at it's fullest, several people and pets at every nook and cranny of the place, and overhead, the dome-like center of the mall echoed with millions of voices. Slightly distracted, it amused him greatly that there was such a place here in this small town of Barakka.

And why was he here? Who knew? All he did know was that he had to get away for awhile, home back homae had felt stuffy and cramped these past few months, and with Nazuna out there somewhere half of the time, it got pretty lonely. That was all he knew.

Now the feather dangling from the back of his hair had somehow maliciously planted itself over one eye. Looking around cautiously, Nano concentrated, mildly annoyed at the thing. but Nazuna had given it to him during childhood, so there was no way it was going to be taken off... Had anyone stared closely, they would have noticed the feather twitch on it's own accord and neatly reposition itself out of the way...

Glancing around, the humanized Ferrikoon saw the insides of the stores, fairly disinterested as he didn't have the money nor the will to go get something. Ah! A bench. Perhaps he could sit and collect his thoughts there. Sliding past the odd clumps of people gathered in the middle of the walkways, the slim, feminine male made his way over and sat down with a small sigh. The look on his face made him appear like a lost puppy, the poor thing, and all he could do was think about him...

Na... zuna...

They were a strange couple, strolling through the packed mall as if they belonged there. One look at their outfits would say they probably belonged out on the streets or in some kind of club.

The male with skin of ebony towered over his female companion. His hair was spiked haphazardly about atop his head, dyed a brilliant shade of pink with darker tones thrown in. His eyes were hidden by thin rectangular shades, dark enough that any amount of light would not reveal his eyes. He was attired in grey pants that clung to his hips and fell in baggy folds around his legs, steel-toe boots polished to a shimmering jet black, and a tight pink shirt, the palest shade compared to his vibrant hair. It clung to his upper body, sleevless and slick, glittering in the light suffusing the mall. Down his arms were gold and silver arm bands, arm warmers with broad black and white stripes, rings on both thumbs, the left index and ring finger, a ring on the right middle and pinkie. All down his ears were earrings. Studs, chained cuffs, dangling, about six holes in all on each ear. Around his neck was a simple chain of silver with his rabies tags.

Next to him stood a short and petite lady, almost luminously pale complexion, all the more colorless next to her companion's darkest complexion. Her hair was white beneath the shimmering green, and her eyes a glistening blue. Across her wrists could be seen fine blue swirls, their curvings indicating that they continued beneath her clothing. She had donned a pair of black pants with red and black plaid on the pockets, a matching corset top, and beanie. Two slits had been placed in the top so her own fluffy ears could remain exposed. Sprouting from her shoulders were faded crimson wings, too small to allow flight, but large enough to be noticeable. She wore simple flip-flops, black and flimsy and obviously worn in. Behind her, a trio of tails, glimmering green just like her hair wavered about in excitement.

"Come on, Nabath! Let's do something fun, we're in a mall!"
The male gave her a quizzical stare as if she'd lost her mind. However, he was powerless against this female- her bite had made him her slave. So, Seilnar grasped his hand and led him about like the trained puppy he was.

No reason...No reason at all...

There was another one, lost to himself and here without any reason save for getting away. He couldn't bare to stay 'home' any longer, too many complicated things were there. All the lies and the secrets built up and were slowly ripping him to shreds, and it wasn't far from just remaining figuratively. Even among the grand total of people in such a public location, he felt either invisible or singled out. That was how bad the feelings were, and he wasn't used to them hurting so. Things had to change, that he knew, but he needed her, maybe more then she needed him. It was sick, the most vile sin that put him to shame, but still...

The only feature of his pain was his eyes, all the emotion fully displayed there. He worked to appear nonchalant toward everything that clawed at him, trying to enjoy the scenery. He liked shopping and all the other assortment of activities one could do in a mall, but he always did them with her. He pressed onward, dodging the crowds with an air of a shadow. One would think someone like him would stand out among the humans and the 'pets'. He a mix between. A set of twin red plush tails dragged behind him, just off the floor and plush ears of the same shade poked out of his lazy hair. It was hard to to see the ears though, among the red hair that was ruffled and hanging down, the length reaching just above his chin. Save for that, he had tan flesh, which would have been white if he hadn't been out in the sun. His clothes weren't too exciting, a mix of black and red, simple pants and a shirt with vest. White arm bands were arranged down his arms. Somehow, his attire matched how he felt- bland. [Compared to what it could have been.] What might have thrown someone off was that his shoes, while boots, seemed too feminine for a man to wear.

'I need to get out of here...' He eventually decided. He couldn't stand dealing with the crowds. This didn't help. 'If I leave, where can I go?' He had conflict with himself. Realization clicked. He couldn't leave, but he couldn't stay where he was. Shuffling between several mall goers, he made his way to the edge of halls. Boredly appearing, he purchased a coffee drink from a vender and took to leaning against a near wall. Mildly, he noticed he didn't seem to be the only dreary one here.

No shoes, no shirt, no service? It seemed as though maybe this place didn't exactly incorporate this rule, because this male certainly wasn't wearing a shirt of any kind. A fishnet glove laced around his arm and a silver bangle seemed to be the only thing that adorned his upper body.

The oddity lucain didn't seem to be his chipper self anymore, as if he had lost something dear to him. Of course, not many would be able to be cheerful if they had held their lover in their arms and watched them die as Canvas had done. Reizen's second victim since he had started killing again had been the poor younger lucain. His flames had eaten right through flesh and bone, moving all the way to Zaak's heart. Now days Canvas couldn't bring himself to paint anything that was light and happy.

Sakefi, the little common Drakel and the male of the two, was curled up on his shoulder, sleeping contently. He disliked that Canvas was unusually sad these days, but there wasn't much that he could do other then sit around and watch. He was just a Drakel... he couldn't even speak human words.

Ran'ia on the other hand, the Paint Drakel that was a female, would do her best to force him not to sulk. Even now he was having to chase after her, his bandana having been stolen this time. She glanced back at him, a smirk playing on her features. Uh-oh! A mistake! She hadn't been paying attention to where she was gliding and slammed into another being, one that smelled like a Ferrikoon.

Canvas on the other hand had ended up bumping into another lucain, a rather tall male. "S-sorry..." he stammered out, slowly backing up a bit. He didn't mean to cause any trouble, but he couldn't just let Ran'ia run about freely like she was doing. Someone could get hurt, including her.

Something caught his eye but... it all happened way too fast.

"GACK!" Eyes widening then covering over with something alive and furry, the male leapt up and flailed, leaving his previous spot and landing into a wall several feet away, though it was clear that that had all been his doing. The thing in his face was small and had little scratchy paws. Quickly reaching up and pulling the offending thing carefully away from his face, Nano glanced down at a small, oddly-colored Drakel with a bandana in it's possession, clearly too large to be it's own. What was a Drakel doing in a mall?

He took a tenative glance around, to see if anyone had noticed his 'mild' outburst. Blinking, the Ferrikoon saw a rather dashing male Fellox a few feet away, then pulled his eyes away out of shame and embarrassment. Maybe Nazuna was right. Maybe he was too skittish and weak? If he'd had his ears right now, they would have flattened at the painful thought of his cold brother's words.

"Hey little guy.." Nano stared down at the furry creature, lowering it from his face. "What's wrong?" he asked, not understanding quite what was going on. All around, no one seemed to be coming to claim the small mammal. There was a rather odd couple a few paces ahead, and he could see they were also humanized like he, but they seemed occupied with shopping, the female leading the other around. Nope. Wasn't their's... Oh! Maybe that other one!

He was a Lucain too, by the looks of it, and he had a more recognizable Drakel on his bare shoulder...

Zadkiel [1]

Human Form

The youth had just been shuffled to another home. Not that he minded. He knew his previous caretaker had far too many things on her mind. Actually, he'd volunteered. Not that he wouldn't see her again and such. But right now, he just needed a place to clear his mind, and the mall was it. People all over, noise to serve as white, and more colors, scents, and sounds than one could possibly shake a stick at. Or two sticks for that matter. Or even a bundle of sticks. But there he was, getting off track again. He was dressed all in red and orange. Flaming orange hair, bloodred jeans, a red shirt, orange shoes... he was a walking fashion disaster, but that didn't stop him any. And when he referred to his hair as FLAMING - he meant it. It moved and darted about like fire, and when someone went to touch it, it was warm. It was because of his heritage. He was half fire-elemental, and wasn't afraid to show it. Or to show his powers. Although they'd landed him in quite a lot of trouble every now and again. His black eyes darted back and forth like dead coals. He was a freak. But a proud freak, and not afraid to show his stuff. As a matter of fact, as if to accentuate the flaming quality of his hair, he'd streaked all the orange with red, black, and yellow.

When he came up on the scene before him, he had to stop short, and run a hand through that hair. HellOOOO gorgeous. And no, he wasn't talking about the female. He hadn't been blatantly gay, but then again... life changes people in odd ways, and the move was just that extra boost he needed. Especially with an all-male dominated home. And here were a few absolutely drool-worthy males right in front of him. A goth, a painter, and a raver. All ripe for the picking. Well, maybe not the raver - he looked to be attached at the hip to that femme at his side. Ahh well. Can't win them all. The painter looked a bit... sad. He might just have to fix that. Sauntering up to the group as though he belonged, he leaned against a pole that he THOUGHT was attached to the ground. There is a very thin line between thought and reality, and Zad had just crossed it. His shoulder shoved the pole over, which destroyed a passing cart, which caused a panic. ZADKIEL hoped he hadn't been recognized. He usually did this sort of thing. It was just natural clumsiness, he supposed. So he tried to slip away. Well, he got the slip part right. Slipping on a section of wet floor, and crashing right into the painter. So much for remaining inconspicuous. He looked up.

"Eheh.... hi?"

Nabath turned to look at whomever had bumped him, stopping so suddenly Seilnar almost fell backwards, so intently was she leading him. She looked behind her and tilted her head. This was a strange male... what did he want with Nabath?

However, her attention was caught by a clumsy male, almost as bright as she if not with warmer colors. She had to giggle at his antics to appear sexy and smooth, only to end up wet and crashing into the painter and Nabath. Lucky for her she had released his hand or she would have been dragged to the floor with him as Nabath was knocked off balance and fell to the ground.

Growling, he looked up to find who had done this, and had to laugh. What a fashion catastrophe. And the guy wasn't even as big as he and still managed to knock him over? That was new. "Well, this is an interesting way to meet new people." he chuckled, still not standing up.

Seilnar giggled, "Well.. what a group of handsome men you three make. You gonna stay there all day, Nabath?" Nabath ignored her and she made no move to help them up, certain that he could take care of himself. Besides, how could she help him when he was bigger than her? She looked around, now that her attention was diverted from shopping, and noticed another strange and handsome male with a Drakel in his hands even odder than all of them combined. And as if there weren't enough strange things going on, she noticed a male leaning against a wall with tails and ears exposed just like her. She smiled and strode up to him. "Well well... what do we have here? An imperial fellox I presume?" She crossed her arms and grinned at him, completely ignoring his dreary demeanor. Her tails swished behind her a few times before stopping in a postion behind her and curved away from the ground.

[center] Oh good lord. What, or better yet how, in the heaven's did this manage to happen? Talk about the selecting the wrong place to attempt to sit around peacefully, or stand, in this specific case. This was the kind of stuff that never happened, but here he watched a little mammal latch onto a guys face, another guy who was chasing the mammal run into some third guy who was being dragged around by some chick and a fourth guy making attempts to play it 'cool' and knock into the guy that knocked into a guy. Can we just say how unlikely all this was? Yea, he'd definitely chose the wrong place to be. Tomari, for one, watched all the chaos from behind the safety of his coffee cup. Only when the male that had the Drakel slammed into the wall next to him, he took one inconspicuous step away. That was his one action. Yea, just avoid it all. That's what he had teh intentions of doing. He had other matters pressing his mind for attention, still unable to forget about his dear ol' lover, Teska.

Above all else, he was approached. Not very willingly, he forced his eyes to move from the wall across the way from him and look at the bright appearing Lucain. Yes, a Lucain she was. Didn't she have any idea on when to let sitting men lie, or however that one old saying went? Honestly, he didn't care how the saying went. Regardless, he lowered the cup from his lips and his ears pricked forward slightly. "Correct...." he replied slowly, not too pleased on needing to talk, but not rude enough to disregard all manners. "What's it to ya?" Of course he wouldn't sound very polite as of now. If you wanted someone nice to talk to, find someone who wasn't obviously brooding.

Ran'ia glanced from Nano to Canvas, and then back to Nano. The furry little critter let out a chattering noise and jumped from his hands to the top of his head, landing in his sily hair. Her eyes darted back over to her 'owner', or rather victim. He didn't own her, but was stuck with her none the less. Looked like the Ferrikoon would have to put up with her for a while too now.

A yelp sounded through the air as Zadkiel crashed into Canvas, thus pushing him into Nabath so that they all toppled over in the end. One big pile of three rather handsome male lucain. So much chaos within so little time. It felt as if the whole world was spinning. Rushing, the painter pulled himself off of Nabath, letting out more words of apology then before. He then turned to Zad and held out a hand, seeing as how the other lucain seemed to be completely fine on his own. "Are you two alright...?"

During all the tussling about due to the collision, Sakefi, the common Drakel, fell from his resting place on the lucain's shoulder, his tiny little noggin hitting the rough tiles below. There was a great amount of chatter, seeing as how he was mad about being awoken, and the little guy looked over at Zad. Warmth... He seemed so warm... The tiny little mammal began inching closer to the lucain.

Zadkiel [2]

Postby Rainbowfox Ari » 12/27/2007 10:15 PM

It took a couple moments of juggling various body parts to extricate himself from the pile of males. But after he did, he hopped up, immediately brushing himself off, soaked - as he'd hit the bucket, too - but drying amazingly quickly. Steam rose from his clothes as they were essentially dry-cleaned right before the rest of them. His body temperature was such that he could do that, if he felt the need. Soon enough, he had completely dry garments, and apparently a Drakel looking to attack him. He inched over to the dark-haired youth, and hid behind him.

"I'm Zadkiel... and that squirrelish looking thing is going to eat me - mind if I hide behind you? Thanks."

He grinned at the dark haired brooding body, and sort of half-peeked over his shoulder to the small thing. Not SCARED... really... ok, yes, yes he WAS scared. He was terrified of the beasts. Anything rodent-like. And this thing had the beady little eyes... the scurrying.... He shuddered, and scooted further behind the obliging shoulder. Or the unobliging shoulder, he really didn't care right at the moment.

Guess he was a perch now. Nano stared as the little creature in his hands wriggling out and made a nest on his head, shrugging as it didn't bother him too much. Still... He should probably give it back...

A sudden clatter of noises caught his attention as the Lucain he'd noticed earlier got all up in a tangled mess... How did that happen? But, seeing as they were alright about it, the Ferrikoon watched dazedly, wondering how in the world he could get over there and ask if this squirrel belonged to one of them. He didn't feel all that well going to talk to anyone right now, not today anyway, but the face full of fur had definitely woke up up from his dreary musings.

"Well... You do have to get your owner back..." Nano forced his legs to work, carrying himself over to the immediate vicinity nearest the humanform canines. Though still he said nothing, as he was both shaken at the though of speaking... and amused at the pile of Lucain. Boy, did they give a name to 'dogpile'.

Nabath stood up slowly, brushing himself off, a slight grin still upon his facials. "Well, now that we're all up-" he began, only to be interrupted by another stranger approaching. "Hello." He said simply, turning to face the ferrikoon hands in pockets and looking the boy over casually. Another small one. Being the largest in the present company was starting to make him feel rather freakish.

Seilnar smiled, "Nothing really. I just noticed a creature like me- someone who's not afraid to show off their wild side- brooding and I had to come poke my nose in your business. And yeah, I noticed you don't seem to be in the mood for company, but I don't really care under the circumstances. What's eating you?"

The Fellox's expression altered between raised eyebrows, the curiously shocked type, and a glare. It wasn't too intense, but seen as one that was clearly unpleasant. Why oh why was attention given to him? In truth, maybe he needed something to distract him. That was what he came all the here for, after all. It was only logical. Company could be used as a great distraction, but... This Lucain also happened to be with that other Lucain that was one in the group that all fell down. As far as he could see, this was turning into quite a gang of strangers. Then again, this one he was talking to was a female. That may not have been good, since all he could think about was his ex-lover, who also showed off her tails and ears, just like he and this female before him did.

Huffing, his tails flicked, and he decided to answer. "I Haven't the slightest idea why you would assume that I am 'wild'." he stated first. "As far as my personal life is concerned, Miss, it happens to be no one's business but my own." Like he'd spill his whole story to anyone. Not another soul, aside from Teska and some bunch of demons, knew what he was harboring. "If you're so wanting to speak, why don't you tell me your reason for being here?" In truth, he decided not to chase her away, yet. Perhaps, just perhaps, talking would be good. If he decided otherwise, he wouldn't be shy to leave.
As he waited for her, he took another sip of his drink.

Canvas opened his mouth to say something, but then saw Nano with Ran'ia. He let out a small chuckle and spoke, "Sorry about her. I swear she's the most devilish creature around." He held out his hand and the Paint Drakel jumped from the Ferrikoon's head and onto the lucain's, running up his arm and jumped onto his head now as a perch. "Sorry if she bothered you in any way."

He then looked at Zadkiel, who seemed to be deathly afraid of little Sakefi. "He's not going to hurt you. I promise." If anything at all Canvas knew that Sakefi was possibly one of the most calm Drakel he had ever seen. That and the very first one he had ever seen.

The common Drakel's ears hung low as he stood there on the cold marble floor. Zad didn't like him? What a bummer...

Zadkiel [3]

Postby Rainbowfox Ari » 01/01/2008 2:12 AM

As much as Zadkiel didn't like rodents, he hated seeing suffering even more. Thus, without even thinking about it really, he moved over, and scooped up the tiny creature, putting him on his shoulder. It wasn't so bad once he went ahead and did it. He reached up to scritch the little guy on the head, and sighed. If anything, he really just wanted to help people. Depressing people wasn't high on his list of things to do. So he was trying to cheer the little guy up, while looking around at who he'd quite literally run into.

"Wow... never seen such a bunch of solemn faces. Someone die? Someone dyING? Or maybe your boyfriends and girlfriends left you. Or you're just not having fun. Whatever it is - CHEER UP! Please? I mean come ON, you can't be grouchy the whole day. I saw this black-brown haired guy in the art store about an hour ago. He said someone very close to him was missing - and HE wasn't grumpy."

Zad crossed his arms, and grinned at those around him.

"If you guys don't cheer up, I'll have to CHEER you up."
