Time felt like is had gotten caught on something. Malice's blade has twisted itself into something that looked like a fish hook with teeth. His smile was as toxic as the slime oozing from the blade.
"You can't keep this up Valor, you're gonna trip up...and when you do....my blade will taste your flesh."
"But before that happens," said Valor,"I will find a way to stop you."
Valor blocked the blade with his shield again and knocked the Incarnation back.

"So we are just gonna sit here then?" said Glory with an angry face,"We just gonna wait here till the news reaches us that our leader, someone that we respect and care about is dead."

Logic placed his claw over his eyes,"There isn't anything we would be able to do....Valor is the only one of us who has ever be able to stop another Incarnation. And even then....at a great cost."

Justice's eyes were puffy from crying but she spiraled out of her spot on the ground,"Well....he's just being selfish!"

"What?" said Wonder making a question mark out of the water in his sphere,"He's sacrificing himself for us!"

"No!", said Justice,"He just doesn't want to deal with the pain of losing us and is just letting himself get killed."

"Now that's not fair...." said Logic," We wouldn't do anything but distract him from the fight....he might...win."

"Oh....he will..." said Wonder,"He will."

There. She had reached the plaza. Gray panted as she glared at the venemous beast. Iluymiel...she had a special grudge for them. According to Phosphorus, it was one of them that had tempted Hesperus away from the light.

"Die," she hissed, but did not lunge. Wait, wait until it was distracted, for the poison would enter her skin as soon as she struck, and she would not get a second chance.

((Oh I'm sorry, my eyes seemed to miss this before...))

Isabel (Tiger is Kaya) and Korien

Still in the Shadows above, Isabel narrowed her eyes. Some animal instinct within her reacted violently to the strange creature below, every bone in her body shook as she resisted the urge to jump down and sink her fangs into the flesh of Malice. Still she resisted...though she knew her eyes had already transformed to orange and her ears had changed as well. I must...hold back. For my own sake as well as the others. I still don't know enough...

Korien had followed Isabel into the shadows, and now watched the events below with interest. Not enjoying it, but the opposite...she was horrified. So much, she could not even react when she caught a bit of her companion's thoughts. On her back, Kaya squirmed uncomfortably...seemingly reacting to Isabel's inner feelings and thoughts.

"Gray!", cried Valor,"What are you doing here? Why aren't you with Logic?" Malice made another swing with his blade which Valor blocked with his shield.
Then, after blocking the attack Valor bashed the other Incarnation in the face with his shield.

"This is getting tiresome Omega....very...tiresome. I have been playing with you for far too long. It is time we up the ante." said Malice wiping the purple blood away from the corner of his mouth. The wicked Incarnation crossed his arms,"Let's change the game...I know what your weakness is, one I luckily don't share...."

"And what is that?" said Valor loudly.

"Your friends......" said Malice as he breathed out a toxic miasma that filled the marketplace.

"Gray! Cover your mouth!" cried Valor.

"Is there anything we can do?" said Glory,"Give him an edge?"

"I don't think so," said Logic, his claw on his chin,"Valor's power has evolved past the point that I even barely understand it. To tell the truth, I barely understand how he even exists. His power is way beyond our own, and it just keeps growing."

Justice coiled in the air,"Maybe we should pray?"

"To what!" said Logic,"We are gross imitations of life, what God would listen to our prayers?"

"The Goddess might!", said Justice,"I know she would!"

"Not that it matters right now..." said Glory,"I know whatever he is fighting..."

Wonder glowed brightly interrupting Glory's thought," I have connected to   Valor, to find out who he is fighting."

The light revealed what Valor saw and showed the image in the sphere.
"GAMMA! HOLY CRUD!" said Glory a fire corona erupting from his eyes.

"If Gamma is the one Valor is fighting," said Justice," There is nothing we can do....Gamma has always been immune to our powers."

"Valor is the only Incarnation who has ever been able to deal damage to other Incarnations. Hopefully he will be able to stop him," said Logic.

"But what if he can't....there are so many other Incarnations....how can we stop them if Valor dies..." said Justice.

"He can't die....I think Valor was born to save the world....from all the Incarnations...." said Glory.

[GrayGriffin]

Gray was about to cry out, when she saw the toxic gas. Covering her face, she buried her head in the grass nearby. Breathe in, breathe out. She hadn't saved enough air. If the gas didn't fade soon, she would faint from lack of air or have to breathe.

Please...let it be over soon. I can't let someone I care for die. I can't...

Eyes widening as she caught a whiff of the miasma, Isabel wheeled around to face Korien. "Hold your breath!" she gasped, her hand waving over the shadows in a strange matter. Then as she withdrew her hand, she felt the familiar connection in her mind. "Act as a mask for Korien! Filter the poison!" her mind screamed, and the Shadows around them began to swirl. Then a piece detached from the rest and rose up, covering Korien's muzzle. Then she turned around, wondering how Valor was fairing. As she turned, she noticed Gray on the ground and gasped. "Don't Isabel!" Korien's mind-voice shouted to her, but did not get through as the now part-tiger girl jumped down from the building.

Upon hitting the ground, she staggered and fell over. Then, muttering, she jumped up and ran over to Gray. "I may not be able to do much, but I can do this." she whispered, and again felt the connection in her head. "Mask Gray and filter the poison! Hurry, she's running out of air!"
She looked down as the shadows began to swirl around Gray's head. She sighed in relief, and coughed...then realized that the Shadows might not be able to filter it all without cutting off the amount of oxygen. She wasn't sure. "Gray, try not to breathe too hard...I don't know how much oxygen you're getting." she said to the girl worriedly.

"Oh no..." Justice said softly, the fear in her heart growing stronger,"Gray's out there too...is there nothing we can do Logic?"

Logic looked into the Bubble Spirit watching the events unfold,"I don't see how we could do anything. Valor isn't immune to that poison, it will kill all of them before we could even get there."

Glory slammed his fist into a building and nearly broke through the wall,"So we are just gonna sit back and watch as two of our friends die?"

"I think not," said Wonder, turning off the image in the sphere,"I feel something inside the data banks....inside the data we stole from Khimera....something new..."

Valor was more than worried, he was terrified. Everything he had hoped for; the defeat of Khimera, finding a place for the Incarnations, all lost to the toxic gas burning the lungs of his friend, himself, and even these new strangers.

Malice came at him with the sword again and Valor attempted to defend with his shield but Malice expected that and used great force and threw Valor to the ground. The shield broke down into nothing but sparkling dust and runes and then into nothing.

Valor had to go on the offensive but what would he use, the spear was only really useful against large groups of small enemies. Then he felt it. The pulse of the universe. The pulse that beat in the hearts of all living things to the rhythm  of the song of the Goddess. Valor was alive, he made his own choices, his own mistakes, he was not bound to his status as "valor". Unlike this being he was a growing breathing living thing.

The words came to him slowly than in a rush, like falling, they all came into place.
"Crystal Weapon Wyrd Configuration, 81 Percent Initiate!"

Blue runes swirled around his left hand building the reflection of his power and his soul. It was a halberd made of blue crystal. It was beautiful as it reflected the light and had a blue ribbon that was tied to the place where the crystal became the black pole it was attached to.

"You are full of surprises Omega, you have a whole bundle of new powers, not that it matters. You and your friends will be engulfed by my poison and then I'll take your unconscious body back to Khimera to be studied. Your friends....I think I'll eat them once they are too weak to move." said Malice with his smile.

"No." said Valor with a fury in his eyes that could only be called beautiful," No more killing, no more suffering. No more. You are just a weapon Malice, nothing more than a killing machine. I, on the other hand, live. I have felt the pulse of the universe and it no longer desires your existence. No one will die this day, a weapon will merely be destroyed."

Valor pointed the halberd at the sky and the blue sky filled with gray clouds and it began to rain.

"This day....you will remember why I am the one who survived...the one who escaped. The one who will bring down everyone and everything associated with Black Khimera till there is nothing left but rubble.

Gray gasped involuntarily, despite the warning not to breathe too much. Of course...how could this vile beast be actually alive? Even though the toxic gas swirled around her, she felt no fear anymore. She, too, thought she could feel the pulse of the universe around her, beating against her paws where she lay. And in that pulse were the whispers of her parents, telling her not to fear.

Isabel looked up in awe as she watched the two before her. Then she frowned a bit as she heard 'the pulse of the universe'. Slowly, a tear fell from her face and landed next to Gray's paw. She was nothing more than Shadow, made into her current form from Jaden's DNA. All of her siblings were like that. If they ever felt it, it was the faint pulse of Jaden that resided within each clone.

She breathed in the toxic air, and knew that while it was affecting her, it was only affecting her connection to Jaden, it could not actually kill her. Like Valor was saying, something that's not actually living is simply destroyed, not killed.

"I may not be truly living, but the living still deserve their lives." she said, then she nudged Gray quickly, transforming into her animal self; a tiger. "Hold your breath with the last of your air and jump on my back!" she yowled to the girl beside her. Then she glanced up at Korien, who gestured to a series of balconies that led up to a roof. Isabel knew that Korien was telling her to get to the roof, as there was more oxygen up there and a shadow mask could protect Gray properly.

Valor knew he would ask questions of these newcomers once the battle was over but for now he had an radioactive Incarnation to duel with.

"Who do you think you are Omega? A hero? You're nothing compared to me, I am a God and you merely a smudge on my brand new loafers." said Malice as his sword grew in size and intensity. The fog of purple miasma grew in magnitude and acidity it began to bellow over the rooftops threating to engulf the entire city.

Valor raised his weapon and spun the water pouring from the skies into a thin mist that gathered the toxic gas bellowed by the beast and purified it, breaking down the toxin.

"I'm going to save everyone....that's what I am." said Valor.

The other Incarnations watched on with joy as Valor turned the tide.

[GrayGriffin]

The griffin raised her head, then looked up as the poison dissolved. "I don't think that will be necessary," she muttered. "But I thank you for your concern." Hopefully, Valor wouldn't faint like he had last time.

Relaxing as the poison faded, she went back to her clone form and put a hand on Gray's shoulder. "Are you sure you're alright?" she asked. Then she glanced up at Korien who stepped out from the Shadows and stood at the roof edge. Catching her eye, the fellox nodded and Isabel turned her attention to the battle ahead of them. She knew that in the future, or even now, the shadows would lend Valor strength when he needed it.

Valor began his attack run, he flung his weapon  at the enemy but with each strike Malice darted out of the way. One hit, one good touch is all that it would take and hopefully it would be over.

"Omega," cried the monster,"Do you think you can stop me with your waves of water? I am pain and suffering, I am eternal."

"Umm....I could use some help here now..." said Valor,"As long as you guys are going to be hanging around anyway...."

Glory crossed his arms,"We should go help him, he's asking for it!"

"No.", said Wonder,"Let the allies closest to him aid him.

Gray lunged forwards, her tail flicking back and forth as she closed in on Malice. Now, she could help!

"Valor," she whispered softly. "Drive him to me!" She stood up on her hind legs, both of her front paws extending all claws.

Hearing Valor's call, Isabel once again transformed to her tiger self. With a snarl, she stood on Malice's other side, jaws gaping as she threatened to sink her teeth into the enemy's tail. The point was not to cause pain, but the tail was usually the best way to keep an enemy from dodging something without getting in the way themselves. She did not close her fangs on Malice however, instead standing ready to help if necessary. As she shuffled each way to avoid getting hit, she wondered what Gray was planning to do.

Above, Korien watched the battle below in horror. She knew she could do nothing, as she was not trained to fight. Looking over to her back, she nudged Kaya, who was curled into a tight ball, as if feeding her strength to Isabel. 'Isabel must be weak from the miasma if she needs Kaya's strength for this.' Korien thought worriedly, then turned her head to watch the scene below.
