Saber couldn’t quite deduce how she’d gotten roped into this. She’d chalk it up to Irisviel’s incredibly pathetic, but nonetheless potent, puppy-dog eyes. When she’d pleaded to meet with Mr. Bentner and Miss Morwena again, Saber had flat out refused on the grounds that one was old and too dangerous, and the other was scantily clad and annoying as hell. Irisviel had promptly smacked her arm for being rude and vigorously defended her ‘friends,’ saying that Bentner was distinguished and simply thirsted for knowledge, which wasn’t something to insult, and that Morwena just had a unique sense of style and she just took some getting used to. Saber still didn’t think it was a good idea, but regardless, she’d been dragged here, to the middle of a farmland, where Irisviel stood petting the soft, velvety nose of a baby Penticorn as it nosed it’s way through the slats of the fence looking for treats. Tapping her foot impatiently, Saber leaned up against the gate of the fence, swatting away one of the adult Penticorn who decided to try and nibble at her ponytail. She checked the watch on her wrist; “They’re late.” Irisviel ignored her pointed statement, humming happily as she cooed over the baby creature (Highly undignified and unbecoming of a woman of her station, Saber decided). Sighing, Saber closed her eyes, deciding she had nothing else to do and might as well meditate a bit while she waited….that is until the Penticorn decided to give her ponytail another nibble.

When Bentner and Morwena had gotten the note that their new aquaintances from Idalani wanted to meet with them again, both had been rather stunned. Not only because said note had appeared in a golden light out of nowhere (Bentner hated that Haephnes knew that he and Morwena were running around Evelon) but also because they both wondered what the two women wanted. Their meeting in Idalani had been cut rather short because of the Valentine's Day magic happening - something that had thrilled Morwena - but neither had thought that Irisviel and Saber had had any deeper interest in getting to know them better. It made Bentner wary, though he had to admit that he also was interested in the magic of the two women.

Sekudui as a meeting place, however, was bad. Whisper Forest was in Lambastia, after all; a whole continent away again. Bentner had considered to simply not attend the suggested meeting at all, but then...that had happened. Again. Portals were suddenly appearing all over Evelon again and naturally, they had immediately went to investigate and when one had opened to Sekudui, they had decided to simply use the opportunity. Just to discover an egg right in front of them as soon as they had stepped out of the portal.

"My!" Morwena picked up the egg. "Is it this time again already? I bet this is why Irisviel wanted to meet with us! To go egg-hunting." She remembered the event from last year all too well; it had started off horribly but ended really well, with them getting lots of new magical items, so she wasn't all that unhappy. Especially since Irisviel and Saber were definitely better company than that Mila Rose person from last year, who very obviously had been some scantily clad bitch trying to get into Morwena's Dear's pants.

Bentner sighed, looking at the egg. "Let's just ignore them for now", he decided. The last thing he wanted to do was searching for eggs - at least not until they had located Irisviel and Saber and figured out if this was indeed what the other two had in mind. He wouldn't mind sending Morwena searching if he could get information out of Irisviel in Saber in return, but there was no need to bother with this nonsense before that.

The two people who had suddenly appeared caused a bit of a panic in the small herd of Penticorn gathered by the fence. So much so that Saber was able to quickly discern that their 'friends' had shown up and were somewhere on the other side of the paddock. “Oh! They're here!” Irisviel practically squealed beside her, giving the baby Penticorn a start as it nickered and bounded away from her.
“Come on Saber!” she grabbed her guard's hand, tugging the blonde woman along at a quick (And wholly undignified) pace. As they rounded the fence, Irisviel waved enthusiastically as she spotted the two figures, her long white hair flowing behind her and nearly whipping Saber in the face. “Miss Morwena, Mr. Bentner! I'm so glad you could come!”

She stopped just shy of running headlong into them, and it took Saber a few ungainly steps to stop herself from slamming into Irisviel at the abrupt halt. Straightening up, she cleared her throat, carefully smoothing down the lapels of her suit and straightening her tie. “Good afternoon,” she intoned formally, inclining her head with a slightly bored look. Irisviel smiled brightly, ignoring her guardian's cool reception of the two. “I wasn't sure if you'd gotten my message. But I'm glad you did.” Her smile widened. “I've managed to snag a spot in this really neat Easter game, and I thought you two might like to partake. It's sort of a magical event thing, I suppose. The eggs you get give you special points and prizes! And you can use the special Eater portals to go wherever you want...although I guess we're stuck here, unless you'd like me to summon something to take us somewhere else...Anyway, would you like to join us?”

"Hello, dearies!" Morwena shouted (loud enough that Bentner feared he would have to use a stronger hearing aid soon and also sending the rest of the Penticorns into panic) when she saw Irisviel dragging Saber towards them and waved back before finding it rather funny when Saber almost crashed into her partner.

"Good afternoon", Bentner responded to Saber's greeting in particular, with much the same intonation. He fully intended to let Morwena handle Irisviel again; the similiarities in the behavior of those two were pretty scary. He wondered if Saber ever felt as annoyed as he did with Morwena.

"Oh, yes, the Easter game!" Morwena beamed at Irisviel when her earlier suspicion was indeed confirmed. "We already participated last year, so we know all about it. Last year, we ended up trapped in the desert in an underground cavern made by a monster before we got teleported to a different world where we met a dragon girl crazy about tin foil who gave us lots of magical items! So I have high hopes for this year as well and would love to participate!"

Bentner looked around; there was nothing which even remotely resembled something interesting here. But Irisviel's comment about different worlds was clearly what had made Morwena say her piece. Indeed, if what Saber had told Bentner during their last meeting was true, maybe there really was something they could gain out of this. "Last year, the portal magic of everyone else was severely limited because of this Easter event, to prevent cheating, probably. Do your powers still work, Miss Irisviel?" he asked, wondering how powerful the woman really was.

“You’ve done this before?” Irisviel asked, taken aback by the response. She’d never even heard of this event, yet it seemed Bentner and Morwena had already participated in it once before. “Wow, you sure had an eventful Easter last year, didn’t you?” She was particularly interested in the ‘dragon girl;’ dragons were, after all, sacred and very rare and powerful. “Who was the dragon girl? I didn’t know there were many of them in this plane of existence…” She knew of a few, but it was very odd to hear about one involving itself with mortals and mortal business, like egg hunts and tin foil.

Saber folded her arms as Irisviel hummed happily and produced a pair of baskets out of thin air. One was a brilliant, eye-murdering shade of purple, and the other was a very unflattering hue of an atrocious magenta. Irisviel handed the purple one to Morwena and smiled. “My powers can’t be limited by anyone in this world; I can still create summons if I want to. There’s not much, besides magic which similarly parallels mine, that can actually suppress my power.” She handed the other basket to Saber, who took it with a solemn, dignified inclination of her head. “You’ve both done this before…do you know where we could start looking?” Irisviel questioned curiously. “Are the eggs anywhere?”

"Uh-huh, it sure was amazing!" Morwena nodded. "The dragon girl's name is Yoshi and she lives in a world where everything is pretty much black and white. I dunno if you know anything about that place. The people living there also have holes in their bodies. There was a really scantily clad woman who had my Dear finger her hole..." Morwena's voice turned slightly murderous at the memory, but then took the basket from Irisviel. Inwardly, she cringed a bit because it was purple and not green.

Bentner cringed as well, though more because of Morwena's poor choice of wording (though he wasn't sure if it was deliberate or not). "The being who opened the portal last year was a very powerful woman", he remarked. "I wonder if you are simply too powerful or your magic is just vastly different from the one in this world that causes you to be unaffected. Morwena and I cannot use portals, so we have very little experience. The portals of Evelon are one of our main reason for research, actually. To answer your question: Last year, we found the eggs all over the desert, so I deem it very likely that they are, indeed, everywhere. Though looking for them here is surely nicer than looking for them in Wilt'No."

“Wow,” Irisviel murmured. “I mean, I knew there were other worlds, kind of, but I never imagined there’d be one so…odd sounding.” And they had holes in their bodies? And Bentner touched one of them? That just sounded weird, and Irisviel was happy to tell Morwena so. “That’s…strange. That woman doesn’t sound very…normal.” She imagined that Bentner being too close to another woman was probably upsetting for the green clad woman as well, considering how much she seemed to love Bentner. And putting fingers in holes was…well…Irisviel chose not to think about it. Saber looked as though she found the story to be quite repulsive, but the narrowing of her eyes was the only indication she gave that it affected her.

Speaking up in defense of Irisviel’s magic, Saber explained to Benter; “Her magic is different from any I have seen on this plane of existence. It is likely that her power isn’t affected because of that, and she does have deep and near infinite power reserves, thanks to the Grail.” She shrugged nonchalantly, as if she wasn’t too concerned with the idea that Irisviel’s magic can be affected. “My magic isn’t affected by this strange event either, though in my case, I can certainly say that my entire magical makeup is unlike anything in this world as well. So there will be no adverse effects on my power.”

Irisviel nodded along, smiling in assertion. “We should get started!” she declared, pointing dramatically off into the distance. She began marching off, before Saber glanced down at the ground near her feet. Bending down, she straightened up, holding up a brightly painted egg. “You missed one.” She turned to Bentner. “You said these really are everywhere? Interesting. Perhaps we would find more if we stuck to places that would be ideal for egg hiding.” Irisviel trotted back to her side. “Like that rock formation?” she asked, pointing to a jutting mountain of rocks that could’ve passed for a small, hilly region just north of the pastures. “I can summon something to take us there?” She looked to Morwena and Bentner in askance.

"Indeed, she really wasn't normal!" Morwena declared. "She was loud and rude and really scantily clad, like a whore! And the world she was from was indeed pretty weird, but the other people from there were all rather nice. We met quite a few, though the dragon girl was the strangest of them all." She wondered when Yoshi would visit them again - or if she would find Saber and Irisviel interesting as well.

"Interesting." Bentner considered this. "So it is something that doesn't effect everyone, but it is also not something that is restricted to beings from Evelon. I wonder if everyone from your world be unaffected or only the really powerful ones." The mentioning of Irisviel's power being so great bothered Bentner again and again; he was too used to be the most powerful mage and wondered how far the powers of the woman really went. As such, it only served him well when Irisviel offered to use her powers so freely. While he was slightly concerned what she would summon (Bentner hated riding on any sort of creature; he had enough back problems already), he nodded. "That would be very kind indeed. In my age, getting up hills is not the easiest thing, though we could also simply fly - in fact, with Morwena's high heels, we would probably have to. But I would be interested in seeing your powers."

Irisviel giggled slightly. Yep, she’d been right in assuming that Morwena hadn’t been fond of the woman. And that certainly confirmed it. “Well, I’m sure karma will come back and bite her in the scantily clad butt! for being so rude” Irisviel promised, looking amused. “I sure would like to meet that Yoshi girl sometime, though. Being a dragon and all is amazing…” Saber, on the other hand, looked nonplussed as she placed the garishly painted egg in her basket. “It’s possible; our magic is different than what you’d find in this world, and most likely comes from a different source, although I couldn’t say for certain.”

Irisviel had clapped her hands together, looking excited. “Oh, don’t worry about the flying part! I’ve got it all taken care of!” She stepped away from the group, raising her hands as her fingers began to glow with a bright golden light. In the next instant, a very large eagle, similar in size to a truck or van, began to materialize as if from nowhere. Sitting snugly against it’s back was what appeared to be a type of seating arrangement, secured with leather straps around it’s neck and back. The bird flapped it’s massive wings, letting out a screech like cry as it turned to face it’s would-be passengers. “There!” Irisviel crowed, looking a little paler than before and slightly winded. It took a bit out of her to summon something so large. “All ready. Climb aboard!”

Morwena beamed. "I'm so glad you understand and think so, too!" she giggled. Well, Yoshi had promised her to glue clothes to Mila Rose, so there. "And well, Yoshi tends to visit my Dear and me whenever she feels like it. If you want, I could tell her about you, but if she ends up finding you interesting, you probably won't get rid of her anymore."

Instead of answering to Saber, Bentner concentrated on Irisviel's magic when she summoned the eagle. "Remarkable", he said when he glanced up at the large creature. "It is definitely different from all summoning magic we know - we have several types as well, but they all call upon creatures from different worlds, instead of creating them out of nowhere."

Morwena was impressed, too, but then nudged Irisviel. "You okay, deary?" she asked and then, much more silent, "You know, if you can do these things, you should make use of these opportunities better. Next time, just conveniently 'forget' about the seats so that you have to hold onto your girlfriend from behind and grab her boobs. And I could be close to my Dear as well~" Well, really too bad about this lost opportunity. But still, Morwena looked forward to the flight and flew up, not wanting to climb the eagle with her high heels and maybe hurting and upsetting the bird that way. Bentner followed her, hoping that the flight would be calm.

Irisviel had been surprised when she’d first met Morwena, but over the short time they’d spent together, she’d found that they were very similar in personality. It was nice to meet someone that was like her; Saber was amazing, but she wasn’t fun all the time. “That’d be great,” she agreed. “And I don’t mind if she won’t leave us alone. I’d be honored to be friends with a dragon.” Or to be found interesting by one. Morwena’s comment about ‘boobs’ made her giggle and blush at the same time, and she hid her face behind one hand. “Miss Morwena, you’re terrible,” she giggled, torn between laughter and mortification. Still…it was a good idea.

Saber appeared at her side, a scowl on her face as she glanced after Morwena for giving her mistress such vulgar ideas. Scoffing quietly, she gently took Irisviel by the arm, helping her up into her seat on the eagle’s back and making sure she was situated before settling down beside her, still looking slightly annoyed. Morwena was going to corrupt her beloved mistress before this was all over, she just knew it. “Hold on,” Irisviel instructed, before the eagle opened it’s giant wings and lifted into the sky, soaring towards the rock formation with ease, as though it carried no passengers at all. It took only a short time to make it to their destination, and they managed to get to the very top before the creature settled down comfortably on the ground.

In the blink of an eye, the magic disappeared with a ‘pop’ and the occupants of the litter on the creature’s back were gently floated to the ground. Saber dusted imaginary dirt from her shoulder, looking nonplussed as she gazed around. “Interesting,” she muttered, spying what appeared to be a rather large cave hidden in the depths of the rocks; it hadn’t been visible from their place out in the fields. “I wonder if it is occupied. Should we search somewhere else?” Her question went unanswered for the moment as Irisviel gave a glad little cry and rushed past her, lifting up a brightly painted egg and holding it up for inspection. “Look what I found!”

There was no way they could talk during the flight, so Morwena simply enjoyed the view, even though she was freezing a bit now. Bentner had to hold onto his hat to avoid losing it and wasn't all that sad when the flight ended, but had to admit it was still much better than walking. He wondered, though, if Irisviel and Saber couldn't fly on their own and had to rely on summons or if Irisviel had only wanted to show off a bit.

"I'll tell Yoshi about you, then", Morwena continued the conversation from before while she was floating towards the ground, finding Irisviel's magic fascinating. She also had felt Saber looking at her; the woman probably wasn't all that thrilled by her jokes, but really, Saber seemed so stiff compared to Irisviel, clearly this would be all to Saber's advantage as well. She needed to unbend a little, really.

Bentner glanced into the cave they had found. He wasn't really keen on flying back right away. "I doubt a predator would live here, otherwise there would be no cattle left in the area", he remarked. "But I don't know enough about Evelon's inhabitants to judge what - or who - could possibly live here."

"Well, there probably wouldn't be any eggs here if it would be dangerous", Morwena agreed. "Maybe it's just a place where children play hide-and-seek. Or a place for lovers to meet in secret~" She lovingly glanced at her Dear who made very sure to simply blankly look back.

“That would be lovely,” Irisviel agreed, placing her egg in Saber’s basket as she held it out to her. Saber was gazing at the cave dubiously, still not quite sure if it was a good idea to hunt for eggs around here. Caves were rarely uninhabited where she came from, and they made her nervous. “Still…” she murmured, an unsure look flitting across her face as Irisviel fluttered back and forth, overturning rocks and casting about for eggs, finding a few and skipping back to her guardian with a smile.

“Oh, shush, Saber,” she chided, dropping the eggs she’d found in the basket. “I’m sure it’s perfectly safe. There’s noting to worry ab-” Her words were cut off by a deep, rumbling growl from inside the cave, and Irisviel tensed, immediately leaping behind Saber, who shoved the basket into her hands and immediately summoned her sword. “Lovely,” she growled dryly. “What on earth is it now?” She could see something large moving in the shadows of the cave, but she couldn’t quite make it out. It appeared to be some sort of scaly thing, with white and yellow scales. “Can you see what it is?” she asked Bentner, not taking her eyes from the cave.

Morwena was just about to answer when whatever was in the cave suddenly growled. Much like Irisviel retreated, Morwena stepped back as well, making sure to stand between whatever was inside the cave and her Dear, though she didn't block his view - he was the most powerful mage, after all, and could blow this whole cave up if he wanted to. But so could she. "Maybe we should throw a fireball inside to see better?" she suggested. "And roast whatever is in there in one go as well?" She summoned a fireball in her hand.

"And probably anger the being, if it is immune to fire?" Bentner was calm; he indeed had no doubts they could very much tackle whatever lived inside this cave. It sounded like a wild animal and they all were experienced mages, after all. "Maybe it is some kind of lesser dragon? Though something like a Hollowhart or Battleheart seems more likely. But then it should be able to speak, right?" He really didn't have enough experience with the Evelon wildlife yet. "I suggest we either retreat now - a wind spell to carry us away should do - or we actually use magic to see what this is. I am not too keen on slaying a beast, though."

“But what if it’s just some innocent creature?” Irisviel protested, unnerved by the idea of roasting something alive inside a cave. “Maybe it’s…not a meat-eater.” Saber gave her a flat look over her shoulder, but instantly turned her eyes back to the cave. “Nothing that sounds like that is an herbivore, Irisviel,” she stated plainly. “And Bentner is correct; there is no telling what it is. And it sounds very large. I doubt a fireball would do much damage, but would certainly serve to anger it. I suggest we retreat-” But the rest of her plan was cut off when the thing’s head suddenly came into view.

A pair of massive fins sat on either side of it’s face, and it had a rather long, scaly snout, complete with one perfectly white set of sizeable carnivorous fangs. As it slowly came into view, Saber was forced to step back and push Irisviel with her. The thing was massive, and although it appeared to be a Battleheart, it was bigger and stranger than any she’d ever seen. No Battleheart she knew of had fins like that, or, for that instance, a coloring quite like this one. It’s scales were a pure white, with shades of charcoal gray markings and yellow patches of armor and wings. As it emerged from the cave, Saber’s hands fisted tighter around the hilt of her sword; yeah, a fireball would’ve definitely just pissed this thing off.

She prepared herself for a fight, but before she could warn Bentner that this thing would be difficult to take down (She wasn’t sure how well-versed he was in Evelon wildlife) the creature blinked in surprise and lowered it’s head nearly to their level. “Oh?” it rumbled, and it’s voice was like a deep, barreling growl rather than words. “Ah, do excuse me. I didn’t mean to interrupt anything. I wasn’t aware that I would be having visitors today.” He gave a self-conscious flap of is head fins. “What brings you to my humble abode, if you don’t mind me asking? Most humans tend to stay away from this place because- Oh my! Where are my manners.” He cleared his throat. “My name is Robinson. It is very much a pleasure to meet all of you!”

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!
