A wide open space in contrast to the dense Tengel jungle, the Sekudui Farmlands are open to all farmers and ranchers! There is much space available and plenty of resources to help raise some fine Tuskow or Roosken. (+3 Endurance, +2 Speed)

Maheius Wanan-Sheileod Lafsion
"Dar-Dar"

Down on Mojave Ranch, things were business as usual, though busier since it was summer break. During this time of the year, there tended to be larger numbers of visitors taking advantage of the services offered by the ranch staff. Tourists came and went for riding trips, children for rodeo camp, extra hands for cattle roundups, and it was also the time of year all the yearling Cavallions and Nyghtmares were broken. This last event alone was enough to draw in visitors from all over to watch the wild rides and battles of will between rider and mount. Maheius could be found anywhere on the ranch, doing any number of things. As overseer of the entire operation, he wanted his ship to be in tip-top form at all times and he wasn't afraid of getting his hands dirty.

"Dar-Dar!" Someone called out from behind him. He finished his conversation with the ranch's on-call veterinarian and turned toward the youth who was running toward him, a letter in hand. "For you, ser!" The kid was Anykan, one of the seasonal hands' oldest sons, and who happened to hero-worship the old lizard. He smiled and ruffled Anykan's hair, taking the letter proffered to him. "Thank you. Now, why don't you go see if someone in the kitchen has those popsicles ready?" He suggested in a conspiratorial tone, as if nobody else knew that there was a fresh batch being made. Anykan's face lit up and he nodded, winking before he turned around and took off back to the main house. Apparently the boy hadn't known, Maheius chuckled, glad to see the children of his employees were doing well.

He turned his attention to the letter, unsurprised to see it came from Mojave at the Manor. He opened the letter and started reading, but was surprised at the contents. He had to read it twice before he believed what he was reading, and even then, he didn't know what to think. A vacation? He'd been running the ranch for a year now, hadn't taken any time off (besides that one time he had the flu), and the ranch was at it's busiest time of year. How could he take a vacation now? He looked back at the letter and felt a momentary (and very small) amount of anxiety. He had been charged a year ago, before he'd even set everything up, to find a second in command to help him run things. He hadn't been successful, but not from lack of trying. Okay, yes, it was from lack of trying. He forced himself to admit it, but he had justification.

The first year of anything tended to be the hardest. In this case, there hadn't been any money coming in, he'd had to hire new people and didn't have anyone to help train them, he'd gone through about three turnovers before he'd found reliable help, and then there was all the paperwork that went into this job. He'd thought ranching would be relaxing, but it had proven to be a bit more stressful than either he or Mojave had expected. He had originally read the letter as a passive-aggressive means of telling him he was doing something wrong. But now that he looked back on the year, a vacation sounded nice. He decided to write back to her, let her know he hadn't found someone to watch the place while he left, and see what she wanted to do. He could always take his personal time later, after all.
