That was the kind of person Emilia was; magic so strong that she could prevent such things from slipping through, into places she didn't want them to go. It had its limitations, of course. And some beings could even break barriers, but it would require them to know the barrier was there, at the very least. And, ultimately, their own abilities would have to be stronger than hers.

Adair, Blayze and the others served her, in part, to keep her protected and hidden from the world.

Emilia had no choice but to keep herself hidden from the world because of her powers; she was all too aware that beings existed that could take them from her, in same way or another. And if those powers got into the wrong hands, there was no doubt that it could be disastrous.

As it was, it was her powers that had enabled both the Blaze Roosken and the Treasure Roosken to take on their human forms.

At one time, they were nothing more than creatures with all too little self awareness that mostly navigated through life with their instincts alone; their dulled instincts, at that. What else could be expected of domesticated pets or farm animals?

But exposure to Emilia and, perhaps to a lesser extent, Chevalier, the two slowly gained more sentience and self awareness over time. More of their personalities shone through as they gained life experience and the ability to process it and make decisions.

They gained speech and, eventually, they were able to change their forms entirely. Now, both Adair and Blayze preferred to remain in their human forms most of the time. In was a rarity that they ever returned to being Rooskens. Though, some effects remained from their time as little more their farm animals.

They still laid eggs, with no regard to their gender or other sexual organs; which wasn't possible for humans, let alone human males. At least those that were genetically classified as such.

It was something that Adair found especially unfortunate and preferred not to even talk about it, but Blayze remained mostly unaffected by it. As the house chef, it was not like him to waste perfectly good food, just because they each preferred to remain as humans throughout the day. Since there was no risk of the eggs being fertilized, it was all the same as the Roosken eggs bought at the market. If not even more certainly unfertilized.
