Feemore wasn't sure how he had gotten into this situation, but then again maybe he did. He had been brought here by master Jinn after all. Yes that alone explained everything. "Feemor I need help tracking down Xanatos." Yes master, sure master. Just let me get my living will in order again and I'll be ready to go.

And this is where he has ended up, in some strange frozen forest tracking down one irate dark jedi through the snow and ice with only his temple cloak to keep him warm. He was going to give Qui Gon the silent treatment for at least a week when he got back.

Elsewhere deeper in the forest Xanatos rubs his hands together and glares daggers at the ice coating the scenery. This was the last place he wanted to be but he had to see this strange planet for himself. Orion had called the man here, but had failed to mention that this planet was not like the rest of the galaxy at all and was considered primitive by galactic standards. They had no space ports, no docking bays, nothing. So of course he had to land out here far from the rest of society so he didn't "corrupt" them with his "advanced technology".

He huffed as he trudged further into the forest. He was going to demand recompense from Orion once he found the man. Of course his idea of "romantic retreat" would be some hellhole with no real tech. At least there was no chance of any Jedi bothering them out here.

[Kylo]

Feemor stopped and stared at the fresh foot prints in the snow and frowned softly to himself. Well someone else seemed to be here now. He gazed out at the direction of the tracks and sighed to himself before setting off after them. Hopefully it would be Qui Gon and not Xanatos. He wasn't sure if he was ready to face his padawan brother.

Feemor crept quietly along, following the tracks through the snow as they lead deeper and deeper into the woods. No animals seemed to be around which only served to make the forest feel wrong in a way he couldn't place. It was as if he was inside of a tomb, a lovely and beautiful tomb, but a tomb all the same. He shivered from the cold and drew his cloak tighter around himself as the ice grew thicker and thicker on the plants and ground.

He could hear the crunch of snow up a head and he silently drew his saber just in case. He could practically feel the anger in the air radiating from the person just ahead of him. Definitely not Qui Gon then.

[Kylo]

Xanatos froze as he swore he heard the ice behind him crunch. He cursed silently to himself and set his hand over his saber as he turned around to face the stranger. He then nearly jumped out of his skin. Feemor?! Sith spit!

"Stay back!"

He withdrew his saber and ignited it as he slid into a fighting stance. Feemore mirrored him and Xanatos growled softly.

"Why are you here?"

"I could ask you the same thing, Xan."

Xanatos scowled.

"Don't call me that!"

Feemor sighed and shook his head.

"Why did you betray us, Xanatos? Why did you leave the order? You could have been a great Jedi. Now..."

Xanatos snarled and took a step forward.

"Shut. Up."

[Kylo]

Feemor frowned softly.

"I just want to understand, Xan. Why give up everything?"

Feemore loosened his stance.

"I don't want to fight you. I just want to talk."

Xanatos only loosened his stance by a fraction, still glaring daggers at Feemor.

"What is there to say? I choose my father over the Jedi."

"I miss you, Xan. Qui Gon misses you."

Xanatos snarled and lunged forward.

"Don't mention that man!"

Feemore blocked Xanatos' attack as the man dug in pressing down on him.

"Xan you don't have to do this!"

"That's easy for you to say. You'll just take me back there! Have me arrested! What even has Jinn told you about me? That I'm a criminal? That I'm a killer? Wake up Feemor, Jinn is a liar."

Feemore pushed back and Xanatos stumbled backward then swung his blade up to block Feemor's.

[Kylo]

"What are you talking about, Xan?"

Xanatos disengaged Feemor's blade and swiped at his side as the man stepped to the side and blocked low.

"I haven't broken any laws, Feemor. You and Jinn have no right to take me in. I'm clean."

They traded blows again as Feemor skidded back from Xanatos, the other man standing where he was watching him carefully.

"The council said that you had taken over Telos illegally, that you are a tyrant."

"Lies!" he hissed as he lunged forward again.

"Why would the council lie, Xan?!"

"Haven't you figured it out? They want someone to blame for Jinn's failure. I'm the perfect victim to place the blame on."

[Kylo]

"The council wouldn't-"

"But they are, Feemor! Come to Telos! See for yourself! Then judge me."

Feemor blocked his attack but then fell backwards, his blade flying away as Xanatos kicked him backwards. Xanatos picked up Feemor's blade amd then turned off his own.

"Just come with me, Fee. Please. I'll show you the truth." He reached out a hand to help Feemor up.

Feemor looked at Xanatos' offered hand suspiciously before taking it. Xanatos pulled him up and smiled as he pat Feemor on the back.

"I know I'm not perfect like you, Feemor. But I'm not what the Jedi want you to think I am. I swear."

[Kylo]

"Then prove it to me, Xan. Show me you're not fallen."

Xanatos sighed as he let his hand fall off of Feemor.

"I admit my temper is bad, but I swear I haven't given in to the darkness. I've come a long way since I left the order. I know I still have far to go, but I'm getting better, Feemor."

Feemor narrowed his eyes at Xanatos not quite believing him but stayed by the man none the less.

"Let's get out of these woods before we freeze to death."

Xanatos laughed and began to lead the way.

"For once I agree with you whole heartedly."

[Silver]

All of this commotion rattles the frozen trees. A single frozen leaf, stiff and rigid, falls from a tree. It hits the ground and shatters into a million little pieces. Then everything is as still and silent as before, but only for a brief, tense moment.

Instantly the air is filled with little creatures. They look like they are made of stained glass, or some kind of crystal. Their sun shining through their colorful wings stains the forest in a chaotic, dizzying rainbow. The little creatures - bats, birds, or perhaps dragons? - whizz around the travelers, nipping at their clothing and exposed skin. Perhaps they are angry for having been woken up...

"Ouch! Hey get back!" Xanatos swatted at several of the creatures as Feemor pulled his hood up to protect against them.

"We must have woken them up. Maybe if we hurry we can out run them?"

The Jedi gently pushed them away with the force from himself while Xanatos continued to swat at them. Feemor sighed as he grabbed Xanatos' arm and began to drag him away in a hurry. The fallen Jedi sneered and yanked his arm out of Feemor's grasp before hurrying ahead.

The creatures followed after them and Xan cursed loudly as he outright sprinted away, Feemor evenly keeping up with a soft laugh.

"Admit it, Xan. This is a bit fun."

"To you maybe! I don't enjoy being bitten! Well by creatures at least."

"I don't even want to know what you mean by that."

"Hey!"

[Kylo]

"I saw a barn not too far away. Maybe we can hide safely there?" Feemor suggested as the pair continued their escape from the small creatures who were starting to finally fall behind.

"As long as it keeps these things at bay I don't care where we go!"

Feemor shook his head at Xanatos and continued their mad dash to escape. He really wanted to believe the man had turned a new leaf but he was just so force damned aggressive and combative. He missed little Xan who looked up to him like a big brother and loved their master. Speaking of which where was Qui Gon anyway?
