"How did you manage to get them to agree to this?"

"I'm not sure but be civil we need them to leave happy and sure of our innocence."

"How can we prove what already is known fact?"

"I'm not sure, but we'll figure this out. Together."

"Always."

The two communicated silently through their bond as they trudged through the snow and into the warm cottage. Behind them the Jedi followed closely. Orion shivered as he removed his coat and hung it up before holding the door open for their...guests.

Qui Gon entered first, brushing past the married couple and venturing into the warm cottage. Feemor followed him soon after, tipping his head in thanks at the former Sith. Orion removed his boots and Can followed suit. The Jedi declined to remove theirs but Feemor at least wiped his thoroughly on the rug before following after the couple who lead them to the dining hall. A lavish feast was set and the two offered seats to the Jedi before taking their own.

"Thank you for joining us, master Jinn and knight Feemor. I hope in time we'll all see this as a misunderstanding soon and be able to share a few laughs about it in time." Orion said softly.

Xanatos began to serve Orion placing delicate cheeses and vegetables on his plate before staring pointedly at his former master.

"Feel free to serve yourselves. This isn't a formal event. Just a meal amongst friends." He smiled sharply as Orion picked at his plate quietly.

Feemor nodded with a small smile and began to serve himself as Qui Gon seemed intent to merely watch Orion eat with scrutiny.

Everyone else had piled meat unto their plate except for Orion. This seemed to fascinate Qui Gon for some reason beyond Feemor.

"Why haven't you served yourself any meat?"

Orion swallowed loudly and wiped his face.

"I can't stomach it. I..I don't agree with consuming animals with any form of sentience. It...bothers me." He answered quietly.

"I wouldn't think a former Sith would be bothered by such things."

"I...I can sense their pain. It's bad enough with insects and arthropods but anything of higher intelligence makes me feel ill." He admitted truthfully.

"And plants?"

"Their pain is different somehow. It doesn't hurt me or make me ill."

Qui Gon seemed to consider this before taking a large piece of nerf steak and chewing it thoughtfully.

Orion returned his attention to his plate, ignoring Jinn's passive aggressive move.

Xanatos glared at Jinn for his rather rude behavior but remained silent. Instead he passed Orion more vegetables and a glass of juice.  Orion smiled thankfully and accepted Xanatos' offer.

Feemor quietly munched on a salad before smiling at the couple across from him.

"How long have you two been married? If you don't mind me asking of course."

The two seemed to brighten up slightly and gently grabbed each other's hand.

"Six lunar months ago. It was a lovely private ceremony." Xanatos answered proudly.
