Look, Franciscus couldn't help but want to look into every door. "I was actually thinking we could find some supplies before we left. We don't now how long those snowy wastes extend out there, after all. I suppose there might be some food here we can bring." He moved further into the room, trying to see if there was any food around that wouldn't spoil easily.

Osomatsu grabbed a cupcake as they ventured further into the room. It was wonderful, moist, the perfect kind of cupcake. All the food in the cottage was probably great, so he was a little sad they were just going to leave it here.

"Supplies, huh?" he murmured, thinking aloud. "That's a good idea. Maybe we can find you something warmer to wear."

Franciscus wasn't as much the type to eat on the go, plus he was more looking for stuff to bring along or containers to carry it with. He did pick up one of the fruit pies, considering them more easily preserved, and sample a bit of the wine anyways. He did nod at the suggestion though.

"Ah, right. That would be useful as well." He chanced a glance out the window. "Looks like nothing but snow for quite some distance, after all."

Ugh. Snow was fine, but in small doses. Osomatsu sighed, finished off his cupcake, and tossed the wrapper away. Then he began to look for more doors. There must be a closet with coats in here, somewhere, since the cottage was feeling so generous.

"This place really is bigger on the inside," Osomatsu commented when he found another room. "It's probably magic, which would explain all the food." Now he was getting nervous again.

"Let's hope the only magic is what's keeping it fresh," muttered Franciscus. "And that it doesn't expire immediately when we leave." He peered into the next room, which appeared to be a bedroom of some sort.

"Well, perhaps there's a closet in there," he muttered, pushing the door open further. It was rather small and cozy-looking, complete with a handmade-looking quilt on the bed. It seemed to fit the aesthetic, at least.

An inviting bedroom! Osomatsu had to keep himself from flopping down on the bed. It looked so cozy, and the room smelled sweet. He walked over to the closet and slid open the door. It was bigger inside, as well, filled with warm clothes. Perhaps they could borrow some things? He picked up a pair of white gloves and a white scarf that matched, to offset his red coat. He considered grabbing a pair of boots, too, in case they needed to walk in the snow for a while.

"I wonder if these'll fit," Osomatsu said as he looked through the heavy coats.

Franciscus peered into the closet as well, grabbing a red scarf and black gloves for himself before glancing over at the coats. He flipped through a few of them, mostly glancing at the shoulder width.

"As long as it doesn't hang too loose, it should be mostly fine..." he noted. Though admittedly, he was also looking for ones that suited his aesthetic somewhat, eventually picking out a white coat with a turned-up collar.

If the cottage was magical, the clothes would probably fit, or even be replaced after they'd taken something. At least, Osomatsu hoped that it worked that way. He tucked the gloves into his pocket for now, but draped the scarf over his shoulder, and grinned as Franciscus looked for something a little bit fancier. It was like they were shopping.

He was feeling relaxed again, cozy, but ready to move on now that he was fed. He wanted to get some answers.

Franciscus slid the coat on over his shoulders before wrapping the scarf around his neck, doubling it up to anchor it more in place and sliding on the gloves. He noted with some surprise that the coat seemed to actually have a space in back that meant it wasn't pressing down on his tails or anything. Apparently half-animal people might be common here?

He offered Osomatsu his arm with a grin as he pondered this. They'd probably have to find more people to get a better idea.

"Shall we be off, then?"
