((Okay~ You guys are going to be the last guys in this thread, then I'm wrapping it up. Sorry if I'm not entirely accurate and please nudge me if I make a mistake. I'm actually the one running the Dead Coast thread and I kinda need to wrap this up because my partner is very busy with school work. Sorry about the delay and thank you for bearing with us))

The Palmie bit it's lip, thinking through what the Kuhna-man had said. He sounded like he knew what he was doing, and it would be a logical idea.

"Do what you must, but... for the sake of my comfort, I will have to avert my eyes." The Palmie replied apologetically. "Just... hurry. Our companions seem to have no patience."

The second Palmie growled its irritation and shook it's cage around, but made no further yelling.

Sappheara

It seemed as yelling hadn't accomplished too much - the fog was waay to thick and it completely had muffled the yelling.
The Ash Palmie's fronds drooped in disappointment, but quickly scampered off after the Khimera, realizing that she had moved on.

"Eww. Why are we in here? This is... this is Shanks Room." The Palmie realized, clinging to Ioana's leg in fear. "C'mon. They obviously haven't come this way. And I don't want to run into Shanks. He's worse than the Hydrolisk."

Seriously, the Ash Palmie was worried. This room gave the Palmie the creeps and it wasn't even sure if it was safe being in here. Well... anymore safe than the rest of the ship.

Elektra

... That was, until Ceanna started up. "Why don't you SHUT UP!" It yelled aggressively. "If you don't want help, then get yourself out!"

It wasn't the smartest of Palmies, obviously and instead was hypocritical and gifted with a short memory. And it wasn't happy. Not at all.

"Do you WANT to get us killed or something?" It growled. "First you forget that I exist, now you try to call the guard on us. Nice."

...What a jerk... right?

Haunting-ur-Nightmares

The Kami clamped it's mouth shut and shook its head, before shooting Creet a pleading look that hopefully said 'Please, please hide... or something'. Meeky didn't want to... die. He was too young, and had survived for so long on the ship.
The black Kami made no reply to Shanks, in fear that he'd either squeak or completely spill out the truth.

"Meeky~" There it was again, the hair-raising voice of the bully. "Don't lie to me~ It would be most... unpleasant."

The Kami took an involuntary step back, as Shanks causally stepped down onto the stairwell - not so far in to see Creet, but his jealous gaze was on Meeky anyway.

"I-I'm not l-luh-lying to you." The Kami managed to squeeze out. He took a deep breath, this was it. Either he'd have to claim he'd been trying to recapture the prisoner, or hope to Zu'hai that Creet had run off. Meeky wouldn't hesitate to give away the prisoner if it meant that he could live.

Pickle

"Well. We... could always try it. And if it doesn't work we can always go somewhere else." The common Palmie. "You just climb up onto my palms and see!"

The little creature offered a helpful smile, but was quickly lost to a look of sadness and worry. It wasn't about cry again, but it clearly wanted to know if its brother was alright.

"... Okay. I'm ready now." It replied, having moved into position, just under the door. It braced itself, ready for the Velix to try to reach the handle.

Iolana was surprised to feel that Ash Palmie grab her leg. She thought the little critter ran off to find he's sister. The Khimera listened to the Palmie as he spoke, maybe the little Palmie was right. She knew they shouldn't of come into this room. It wasn't like she knew where all the rooms went or who was on the ship. "I'm unfamiliar with this ship. So... just hope that the next room we enter is where your sister is and that we don't bump into any more pirates." What was she thinking? They were going to run into a pirate or two sooner or later, it was their ship after all. Iolana picked up one of the strange devices that was on the bookshelf. Dropping the device back on the bookshelf, the Khimera looked around the room. "We go through that door." She pointed to the opposite door from where they came in. Iolana walked towards and spoke over her shoulder. "Are you ready little Palmie?" Opening the door that lend to R9.

Creet wasn't sure what to do, it seemed like Shanks had the only way out blocked. That and the place he was standing wasn't that great of a hiding place. He bit his lower lip, what to do what to do? His head bounced back and forth from the room to Meeky, to the room again.
What do I do?! He shouted in his head.
The barrel! The one he was stuck in before, could he hide in it again? He wasn't quite sure if it would work, or if he could reach in time for that much. Shaking his head, and holding his breath, he made a quite mad rush towards it. Without stopping, hesitating, or thinking of anything else, jumped head long into it. He prayed Shanks didn't hear or see him, and that Meeky would be alright.

Langlin nodded, flipping one of his tails forwards, concentrating the flame into a much smaller shape. As it touched the metal near but not on the manacle, it began to glow slightly. Langlin frowned, hoping that it would melt quickly. Even as the metal began to steam, he tugged slightly at the chain, preparing to separate the two halves.

"I'm hurrying up!" he muttered, his other tail flipping sideways. "I'll get all of us out, don't you worry..."

Bryan nodded, but he was still a little bit nervous about this.  "If it's hurting you just say so and I'll climb down.  It shouldn't take more than a few seconds for me to grab hold of the handle, though." He said.  He hesitated for a second before climbing up the Palmie as quickly as he could.  It was pretty easy, like climbing a mini tree, which he pretty much was.  In no time he had his short arms around the handle and pulled, jumping to the ground when he heard a click.  The door slowly creaked open, and inside were walls and racks covered with weapons.  "Oh my!  You know, perhaps we shouldn't go in here.  This place gives me the feeling that it's really really not safe on this boat...  Do you want to try searching somewhere else to go?  Maybe we'd be able to find a lifeboat or something that we can escape on...  What do you think we should do?"  Bryan asked nervously, peering through the fog.  The metal weaponry scared him enough for him to believe they may be in more danger than they thought, and he wanted to make sure no one surprise attacked them or something.  After all, he didn't want to become scrap metal.

Deck, again.

"You know what, she should forget about you.  You're just on ungrateful little Palmie ya know...  I was doing that so that Langlin could possibly attack the guard and get anything useful that he had with him, like a key, maybe?" Ceanna said, definitely angry with the Palmie.  Sure, she might have lost it there for a second, but who wouldn't?  And she sure as heck wasn't going to let the Palmie know that.

She looked toward Langlin, seeing how well he was doing with the chain.  It seemed as if this might actually work, as long as a guard didn't appear and stop them.  But either way, the group would probably end up breaking out in a matter of minutes if the Elder could free himself.  The only other question of real importance was how they were supposed to get back home.  She wasn't sure if it was just the waves near the shore that caused the boat to rock, or if they had already departed; the latter being what she feared.

"We got away from the worst, well one of them." The Palmie replied, casting his eyes around the room, making sure he kept close to Iolana. "Though, I can't tell you what's behind that door. No Palmie slave is allowed behind there."

"Who... who are you?" A young woman's head jerked up from her work - a mess of maps, tools and writing instruments - at the sound of the door opening. Out of fear, she had partially backed up into a corner, examining the new intruders. Seriously, an Ash Palmie clinging to the leg of a Khimera was quite a sight and just the fact that there was a Khimera in her room... the woman was pretty frightened.
"...Did the Captain send for me?"

The Ash Palmie peered curiously out from behind the Khimera, his eyes had never seen this room before. No slave of the pirates had entered this room, though they had seen the Captain and Shanks enter this room. Especially Shanks.

Haunting-ur-Nightmares

Luckily, Shanks hadn't seen Creet though he wasn't going to give up just so easy. Especially if it meant terrorizing Meeky.

Meeky breathed a sigh of relief as the man disappeared into the barrel once more. He knew he was a spineless creature, but he would have felt great guilt if he turned Creet in. But he knew his ordeal wasn't over yet.

Shanks moved into the room, coming to a stand-still in front of Meeky, who involuntarily took a step back out of fear. "Meeky, stand up so I can look at you." The Beetanke hissed at the Kami. "Who. Were. You talking to?"

The Kami gave a terrified shudder, and before you could blink Meeky the Human was standing where Meeky the Kami had been. "I-I tuh-told you Shuh-sh-Shanks I don-" He cut off with a squeak of fear as the Beetanke raised a claw and pressed it into his chest, not breaking the skin but making the Kami extremely uncomfortable.

In his desire to terrorize the poor cook, he had turned his back to the barrel containing Creet.

GrayGriffin

The little Palmie averted it's eyes from the uncomfortably bright flame and held it's breath, slightly worried that the flame would catch alight her fragile leafy fronds.
But thankfully, the metal came away after a few more minutes of intense heat and it had not touched her though she still sported a heavy manacle around her body she was free of the chain.

"Here... we have to get our two... comrades out before they have the whole ship upon us." She murmured, rolling her eyes slightly.

Pickle
The Palmie gazed into the room, feeling the same sense of unease that had come over the Velix though she had known full well what was in the room and what the crew were capable of. It was just that her savior of sorts was worried and that was making her worried.

"I agree, we should really find a way out." She nodded her head in agreement, and glanced around to look for a lifeboat. She had no idea where they were kept, just they were pretty close to the edge of the deck. And in such low visibility they wouldn't even be noticed getting away.

"Ugh... Where are you hiding little prisoners?" A voice called out across the deck, followed by a familiar spitting noise. Uh oh... you better get moving.

Elektra

"Oh really?" The Palmie growled, rattling it's cage to emphasize his irritation from the dark corner it was still invisible to the rest of the cohort, and whether that was the main thing that gave it confidence was unknown. "What was was Langlin gonna do to an armed guard while he was freeing that Common over there?"

The Palmie could just the freedom waiting on the other side of the bars and he couldn't wait to get out. Even if it meant putting up with that bothersome noise that was the Kanua.

Bryan's head snapped over to where the noise was coming from.  "Come on, let's go." he whispered as quietly as he could to the palmie.  He quickly found they're way over to the side of the boat, and was feeling along the rim for ropes that could indicate there was a lifeboat on the side of the ship.  He was trying to work as fast as he could, wanting to protect the palmie and himself from whoever was looking for them.  He wondered if he should go back and find the other palmie, but then decided that he shouldn't risk the safety of this palmie just to try and be a hero.  He felt bad, though, since the little Palmie with him would most definitely be upset if he lost his brother.  Well, they might be able to figure something out.

Both the Ash Palmie the Khimera entered the room. "You can let go of my leg now. It's kinda hard to walk with you clinging to me like that." Iolana lightly shook the Palmie off, trying not to hurt the little guy. She looked round the Navigator's room, spotting a woman behind a pile of papers. It was interesting to see a pirate at work. The Khimera realized as the woman spoke about Captain, as if she was a was here without a choice. "The Captain did not send us here for you. I was kidnapped by your captain." The Khimera said through clenched teeth, watching the Navigator closely. Iolana was ready just in case the woman attacked her. She wasn't going to be blindside a second time. "Where do they keep the other Palmies?" Iolana tucked the Ash Palmie behind her, making sure he would be safe.

Langlin nodded. "No problem. It seems my kuhnaflame can do just find for the metal. You sure you're alright?" he added, even as he moved towards the cage.

"Now, I'm going to heat up some of these bars, so you had better move out of the way..." he warned, his tails already flicking. He wasn't going to pull them apart this time-just softening them and bending them out of the way should be enough.

"Do... you think you could leave something, like a note or mark that my brother could see? So he knows we've gone?" The little Palmie asked. "I'm sure my brother is safe with the Khimera, so I'm sure we could meet up on the mainland! Here, I'll go find a long boat while you do that."

The little Palmie scuttled off down the boat to find one of the boats the pirates had used on a raiding party. She'd cleaned it recently, so it must have been close.

Sappheara

The woman was hardly a threat or hardly looked like a pirate. She wore a simple white dress and her long wavy hair fell down past her shoulders. Where there even woman pirates... even in this age?

"... You should not be here. The Captain would keelhaul you if he found out the prisoners had escaped." Her voice was barely above a sad whisper. "However... those curious little things - the Palmies - are kept all over the ship. Where they work is where they live. The ones that... misbehave are sent down into the hold."

The woman was odd, definitely. It was also odd - the fact that they kept their own Navigator locked in a room, next to the cabin of one of the most feared members of the ship - aside from the Captain.

"Please... you should go. There are long boats up on the deck that you can use to get to shore... This place isn't safe."

GrayGriffin

"I am fine, this manacle around my waist shouldn't bother me too much." The Palmie replied, inching into another dark corner, out of discomfort while the Elder Kuhna melted through the flame. "I don't suppose any of you two would have a piece of cloth that might protect my eyes?"

As Langlin moved towards the darker end of the boat his tails illuminated a very irritated looking Palmie - the source of bellowing. Maybe you had expected one of those Common Palmies... or maybe even a Water or Cherry Palmie? Definitely not a brown-ie green Palmie.

"Alright, alright." It growled moving to back of the cage. "Just hurry up."

Ceanna had accidentily driffted off, somewhat ashamed of being told off by a tiny little Palmie.  But when she heard Langlin had almost broken through his own chains, she focused again, and looked over.  At first she wasn't sure whether she was still daydreaming, but after a few minutes, she looked again.  Yes, it was a Palmie, but a very odd one.  Odd indeed, for it looked nothing like any of the other Palmie's that had been documented.  But then again, perhaps this ship wasn't at all from around the Lands, and contained other species?  It was worth exploring at least.

Finally breaking, she tore of both of her sleeves from the shirt she had in her human form, and tied them together.  "Will this do?" she asked, showing them to the grouchy little tree.

"Oh, cloth?" asked Langlin. He frowned, then ripped at his labcoat for a while, finally managing to tear off a strip. He flicked it over to the other Palmie, frowning a little. Then, he crawled closer, although his tail still flicked against the bars, softening them somewhat. The flame was unfocused, but would still be capable of some burning.

"I'll tie this over your eyes," he offered as well.

She extended her claws, the Khimera started scratch the wooden floors beneath her. Iolana was getting very irritated with the situation she was in. Taking a deep breath in, to clam down, she looked back at the Ash Palmie. "Do you know where your sister could be?" Realizing she should of asked the Palmie from the beginning, instead trying to play detective. The Khimera looked at the Navigator for moment before speaking. "If your a prisoner, you should get off the ship, like the rest of us are." Iolana wasn't sure about the rest of the prisoners on this ship. Iolana knew for sure that the Ash Palmie and her will be getting of this ship, one way or other.

Bryan was a little hesitant to let the little Palmie wander off on its own to find a boat, but he decided that he might as well as do what he asked and leave a sign before he left.  He got an idea, and very cautiously stepped away from the rim of the boat to find his way over to the mast, where he used his claws to carve a picture explaining where they were.  The picture was very simple;  it was just an outline of him and the Palmie, a plus sign, a very poor drawing of a boat, and an arrow pointing to another poor drawing of an island.  He did this very quickly, and because of the speed the drawing was messy and looked like something a two year old would draw.  Still, it was short and to the point as well as further down on the mast where it wouldn't be at the eyesight of humans and short enough to be in the eyesight of the Palmie.  Once he finished that he clawed an arrow into the ground, pointing in the general direction where the littler Palmie had taken off so it's brother would know what direction they went.  Once he was done, Bryan ran off to try and find the little Palmie before anyone else found it, and hopefully the Palmie would be at a life boat.
