Many people come far and wide to see this beautiful place. The beaches here are perfect and the most unique sand ever. It is black and white sphere stones. Fully round and very small. Almost like walking on very miniature marbles. But for every white stone there is a black one. The town is full of people coming, going, and making it their home, but what they don't know is that the town and most of its funding is run by the Chains mob. But that is not where this story begins...

"You fucking moron!" The half empty booze bottle whipped across the room at the boys head. Blood began to drip down as he went to pick up the now broken pieces. "If you want food then got the fuck to the street and bag for some! Cause that's all you are- a useless pile of shit!" The woman grabbed another bottle from beside her on the couch as she stumbled to keep it in her hand. The boy finished picking up the pieces and went into the kitchen to throw them out. He was best to leave the dirty piled up dishes in the sink till she had passed out, otherwise she would probably down him next. The boy tossed the pieces into the garbage and headed upstairs. He didn't have much but a bed and old CD player, but it was good enough. As long as he could drown out the screaming with his music.

""Nathan?" a soft kind voice called. "Yes ma?" A male voice called back. "Cam you please help me set the table?" She asked. The young male came into the room and smiled at his mother. "How can I help?" He offered. The two set the table for three and began to cook a nice roast. "When is father to return?" Nathan asked his mother. "I'm not sure, but I assume 8:00pm. It is when he normally arrives." She replied with a hint of sadness in her voice. The dinner had been made and all was set and ready to eat. Casual conversation was made till the arrival of Nathans father. "Good day?" Nathans mom asked as she took his fathers coat. "Slow." He replied. Nathans father never really talked much about his job but Nathan and his mother already knew the business that he ran. Let's just say it wasn't a legal one. He was top dog and he wanted Nathan to follow in his shoes, but he was gentile. Not the kind meant for his fathers business. All enjoyed the meal and simple conversation was exchanged.

There was quiet. Finally. The boy went downstairs again and picked up the empty bottles from around the passed out lady. He tidied the room and began on the dishes. "Hey son." The woman said as she began to slowly rise from the couch as if nothing had happened. "What are you doing?" She continued. "Cleaning." The boy said bluntly. "Hey what happened to your head?" She asked. "Nothing." The boy replied. "Jasper look at me." She demanded. He unwillingly did so. No matter how had he tried, he could not get the look of disappointment and anger off his face. It was just too much. "How did this happen?" His mother prodded. He said nothing. "Jasper!?" She demanded the answer and out it came, "You. You did this! After you drank all our money!"  She looked at him angrily and irrationally replied, "Well it's my money! I can do what I want with it!" Jasper filled up with more anger. The money wasn't hers and she knew it. It was all his. He did whatever he could just to get enough to pay the house bill. 'Her money' he laughed painfully to himself. She was suppose to look after him! It was her responsibility to pay the bills and buy food. Not his!!! The mother was about to slap the boy when he grabbed her hand and through it back. He wanted to hurt her but he couldn't. He ran out the door instead.

Nathan helped his mom clean up and after went to see his father in his office as he asked him to do. "Nate son, I was thinking, perhaps it's time for you to come with me to my work. I'm sure you already know what it is I do and what it involves." His father paused for the boy's response. "Yes." He replied. His father was in the mob, but not just in it. He ran the organization. "So will you come?" His father asked. "Yes." Nathan replied. How could he say no to his father? Nate knew how upset his father could be and all Nate wanted was his fathers respect. Helping with the business was his first step of gaining that. The rest of the night was typical, though Nate was nervous for tomorrow.

Jasper had stayed out all night. Why would he go back? He sat an the highest ruin of an old building and watched the moon as to covered the sky. Dawn approached and he watched it too come up. 'Beautiful.' he thought as he watched it. Another all-niter and another day to live, what fun.

"Hey dirt bag! Where do you think you're going?" Said a man as a group of guys approached him. Jasper just ignored them and kept walking till they blocked hos way. "Move." He said to them. They laughed and replied, "Ooh big talk from a scum bag, I'm so scared of you..." They sarcastically replied to him as they continued to call him names and mock him. Jasper said nothing but instead, out of what seemed to be nowhere, he punched the man in front of him right in the gut. The man whet down in pain and Jasper just walked by like nothing had happened.

The next day approached and Nathan got up early so he could get ready and be prepared for when his father was ready to leave. Once both were good to go, Nate's father and him hopped into their car and headed to his fathers restaurant. Funny enough, restaurants seemed to be a very popular place for mob organization covers. They walked into the restaurant and into a back room with a locked door. "Hey Freddy I want you to meet my son, Nathan." He said to a fellow working away at some papers. "Hello." Nathan said to the man who said the same back. "Nate here will be joining us for today. He'll be a tag-along this time." His father told the man who replied, "Sure thing Boss." "So where are we with Rico?" the boss asked. "Hasn't paid back his loan yet." Freddy replied. "Let's go for a visit then."

Jasper was on his way back to his house when he noticed the gang of guys from last night waiting for him in the ally. Unfortunately there wasn't any other easy way back to the house except through that ally. Jasper sighed as he began to walk towards it. "Here he comes!" Jasper could hear from one of the guys in the distance. He knew they wanted payback for what he did to their one gang member and from embarrassing them. Jasper was now a couple feet from the gang as they bulled out bats from behind the dumpster.

Nathan, his father and Freddy were on their way to Rico's house when Nathan noticed something going down in an ally. "Hey Farther?" He said getting his dads attention, "It's your town so should that be happening without your know-how?" Nate's dad looked to where he was speaking of and say the gang around one kid with bats. Before they could interfere, one of the men had swung his bad at the kid. Who ever the victim was, he sure was quick. He had dodged and countered the attack. The three of them were stunned at what they were seeing. One kid versus about 5 men with weapons, and the kid was winning! He was violent but cunning and had very fast reactions. Nate's father studied this character till the fight was over.

Jasper looked around making sure none of the men were left standing or even moving. He then focused his attention on the eyes staring at him. He was two older men and another boy about his age. Two of them had gotten out of an expensive black car and the boy was dressed in black. He stared at them for a moment till dropping the dead weight of one mans body that he had forgot he held in his hand. Jasper gave the three eyes one last glance before grabbing the money out of his victims pockets and walking away.

"Come on, Nathan." His father had said. It took him a moment before getting back in the car. For the rest of the drive Nathan couldn't stop thinking about what he had saw. Freddy noticed and commented, "If he becomes more active than we may have to deal with him." He didn't want to be a downer but it was just the truth. Nathan would have to learn it sooner than later. The guys that were beaten up were some that owed his father money, so the more they died the more money Nathans fathers business lost.

They had arrived at Rico's house. It was more of a warn down shack, but someone still lived there. Inside there was a mess and even cocaine and Marijuana laying around in fairly large quantities. Nathan followed his father through the house and into the back bedroom. "Rico!" His father said as he pulled a man out of the bed. "You better have something good for me." Rico scrambled as he awoke and heard Mr. Chains voice above him. "H-h-here." The man said as he dug under his bed and pulled out some money. Nathans father took it and began counting, "Only $500?" He replied angrily. "Uhh.. it's all I sold." Rico replied hesitantly. "Really? Cause from what I can see, I figure you are keeping most of it for yourself and not looking for buyers. Now you wouldn't be doing that to Mr. Chains, would you?" Freddy questioned accusingly. "No...?" Rico said guiltily. "Thought so." Freddy said. Nathans father looked at him and said, "If you want to come into the business first thing you will learn is how to get my money from someone." Mr. Chains looked over to Freddy, "May you please demonstrate?" He asked. Freddy moved towards the now cowering Rico, "please, I will get you your money.." Rico begged, but Freddy ignored and lifted him up by the collar and began beating the shit out of him. Rico was bloodied and on the floor. "Now Nate, please finish him off." Mr Chains told his son as he passed the boy a gun.

Jasper entered his house to find another man there. He looked at the man suspiciously and asked, "Who are you?" The man turned and looked at him. "Who am I? Who the fuck are you?" The man questioned back. "I live here." Jasper said as he went up to his room. "Mom?" He called. "Not now." She replied as she passed him and went downstairs to the man. "I got us some food money..." He said to himself seeing she obviously wasn't interested. He found the box he kept hidden inside his bed and opened it. There was $10.19 in side and when he added the money he just stole it made about $70. Jasper smiled as he took the box downstairs and was about to walk to the food store when his mother stopped him. "What do you have there?" She asked as she grabbed the box from him. 'Money, perfect." She took it out and ignoring his plea, payed the man and in exchange  got some pills from the man. "What are those?!" Jasper questioned as she took two of them. "None of your fucking business." She replied as she pushed him out of her way. The man left, "That money was for food!" Jasper exclaimed hungrily. "Ya? then go fucking buy something. I'm good." There was only $5 left in the box. "Great." He mumbled to himself. He left the house leaving his now high mother.
