AQUATIC EGG RETRIEVAL (FOR POINTS AND FUN)

Up on this grassy hill she could see EVERYTHING~! Even a few of her eggs bobbing in the water. This was so exciting.
“Daddy is it time yet?” The little girl asked, flicking her round ears towards her ‘daddy’. He was a rather round man, balding with the top of his head slightly sun burned. He seemed jolly enough, a business version of jolly ol’ saint nick.
“Nut yet Sugar Dumpling,” He said all smiles, “Soon though. You should eat up, don’t want my Baby going hungry.”
This was an event but also a pick-nick (made obvious by the classic wicker basket and the white and red chequered blanket the two occupied.

Trixy was a ways away from the starting line but the actual meeting of the attendees would start at the top of the grass cliff.

“Welcome everybody~!” Trixy sang, her dual kuhna tails wagging slowly behind her marking her species as a common kuhna.
“Umm well if you’ve read the rules and checked the map I’m sure you all know what to do. If you have any questions you can ask me or my daddy. For now though you can head on down to the starting line and get ready~! If you want you guys can have a team or you can be solo~. Up to you but I know I like being in a team a whole lot more.”

1-2-3-4-5-6-7 The water here is shallow and great for little kids to play in. In fact there are a few out there so be careful! Dancing about the surface of the water these eggs seem to want to play, too!

8-9-10-11-12-13 Things get deeper at this point and all but the tallest creatures have to swim now. The shallows drop off quite suddenly so be wary! Keeping to the surface is what these eggs are doing.

14-15-20-26 Here the water seems almost sucked towards the cliff face and, hey, is that a cave? Good thing these eggs are tethered our they'd be washed into the cliff face!

16-17-21-22-23 There appears to be a deep, under water trench here. Scattered along it's rocky edges are under sea plants and the elusive eggs.

18-19-24-25 The water here is clear and boring? Awrh! Even the eggs seem listless and bored.

27-28 This cave is quite the anomally, it also seems to be where the water is being sucked towards, how strange. The cave has a small, secret beach with large, smooth rocks inside. What a great hide out! These eggs seem to have been placed during high tide, though. You'll have to actually get out of the water and scale the wall to get these babies, but point wise they were worth it.
Leaving this cave is a big pain though and could waste valuable time.

29-30-31-32 Here there are many rocks and the water is actually very shallow. This appaers to be the nesting ground of a group of friendly seawinders with string tied to their tail, the end of the string having a egg attached to it.

34-35-36-37-38-39-40-41-42-43 WHIRLPOOLS! They're not super dangerous unless you're tired as they take a lot of energy and time to get around them.

33 I forgot this one existed, but Arctic didn't! O= <3 xD; -fails-

44-45-46 Sitting atop a jutting rock is a venom hydrolisk. She may be mean but she is far from dumb and as far as looks go, for a hydrolisk she is va-va-VOOM! You can fight her or try to engage her but whatever you deicde to do she will not be giving up her three hot pink eggs easily.

How to Join

Simply post here (Roleplay it out!) your arrival and all of that. There will be a three days to join. We’ll start sooner if all the slots fill before the three days. Just post your arrival after I post again you’ll get ready to start and follow the rules (described below).

RULES

+ Follow all Evelon Rules, the exception to this rule is the five post rule. You DO NOT need five posts in a past RP to join this event. As well if you have five posts and join here you do not need to post five times to start a different RP.

+ One Character Per User. This is so you don’t have five characters going around each getting an egg per post. Choose wisely (I don’t want your 3 year old sleepyheart diving to extrodinary depths to get an egg or something).

+ No Double Posting. If you did then you could just run around collecting eggs willy-nilly. D8> No fair to others.

+No Posting Order. Pertaining a bit to the rule above, you don’t have to wait around FOREVER either. If there’s one post between your latest post and your post before that, it’s totally legal!
+Replying to PMs sent from RE2 Makes an RE2 mad. You have no reason to PM me, I’m serial here. I will have a rabid hydrolisk GOD MODINGLY eat your char if you reply to hurry up, serious here.

How It Works

Step the First: Join by posting your character of choices arrival. Stats don’t interfere with how well you’ll do so the pet doesn’t matter (unless in IC he/she/it/both is unable to swim, that could matter as this IS a swimming event).

Step the Second: Wait for everybody else to join. You can post mingling if you’d like basically you wait either three days or until all the slots are filled, which ever comes first.

Step the Third: I, RE2, will post and be basically say “EVERYBODY TO THE STARTING LINE!” then everyone in the event will have 24 hours to post. In this post you must include a BOLDED TARGET EGG!
EX:

“Finny was super excited about this event! He wasn’t here to get first, but to just have fun. Watching the small waves roll in and out the little kuni set his eyes on EGG #3.”

This will tell me what egg you want and how far it is from you. You’ll receivea PM from me basically stating the distance. Distance in this event is made up of post. So I’d say:
“From starting line to egg #3 is: ONE POST.”

Once you have received this first PM DO NOT POST.

Step the Fourth: Once everyone has posted (or 24 hours has past)I will post again in a “On your marks, get set, GO!” after this it’s a posting free-for-all (besides the rules outlined above). You will go to the egg you bolded in a prior post. Once you have completed the required number of posts to reach your egg you will boldly tell me your next target!

“Reaching #3 Finny grabbed the rope the egg was tied down too and tied it around his tail. Alright, his first egg! His next egg, #4, was not too far away.”

I will then PM you in the same fashion! This will repeat until all the eggs are found or if you guys give up.

Remember I AM RE2 and there’s a possibility random things might happen and try and stop you from getting to eggs. A school of fish blocking your way or a kid in a row boat or anything could happen but it won’t happen all the time so don’t get to excited. RP wise I’ll be mostly inactive in your thread.

The few random hot pink eggs worth the mother load will be given out using chance, they could take 2 turns to get, the could take 10 but will require RPing on my part once you reach the area.

Event Type Information

Well in the singles event it’s just you so it’s pretty straight forward. In the team even, on the other hand you need to team up with other users and collect eggs together.

That could mean all swimming together and all getting different eggs along the same “route” OR you could all split up, pick a strategy that best suits you and your team. The upside to swimming together is that it’ll PROBABLY be more fun and easier to RP. FYI. Both event types are basically the same.

In the team event you have to decide on teams and make that clear in your posts and/or before the event begins official (when you go out to get your first egg). Also whatever your team earns the total will increase by 15% and then be divided up.

All teams consists of either 2 or 3 characters.

What ho? A swimming event? K'riit hadn't seen much action since his memories flew out the window. When he heard tell of a swimming event being held in the town of Nabias, he decided he would go and check it out. The reward - eggs of some sort - didn't interest him much, but then again he couldn't piece together why exactly he needed an egg. He just wanted to see what this was about.

To see where he was, he stuck his head out of the water, just in time to hear what was going on from the kuhna up on the cliff. Teams? Singles? What the heck were those? Maybe this place wasn't such a good area for a memory-less fish.

While he didn't know it, he was just about at the location of the starting line. Hopefully, already being in the water before the event started didn't qualify as a false start, as he really didn't have a choice. A fish is a fish, and fish needed water if they didn't have human forms. For now, the werebetta simply stopped and looked around, waiting to see who else was drawn here by this so-called event.

[Flame]

The soft sand shifted under her paws as a little Kuhna padded down the beach, reveling in the warmth under her paws. She’d heard that there was some sort of swimming event going on, and that there was a prize involved; if the first part of that description hadn’t hooked her, then the second had definitely decided it. It’d been a while since she’d found a good excuse to make time to visit the beach – she had a natural affinity for the ocean (although any large body of water would do), and had missed it sorely during her days at the Estate, despite the fact that a pool had been built, just to accommodate her. It just didn’t have that same…feel to it, y’know?

Well, needless to say, Rhea was extremely excited for this event. From where she stood on the beach, she could already feel the waves calling to her, the sharp, refreshing smell of salt spray carried by the breeze. After admiring the view for a moment or two, she continued on her way towards what she assumed was the starting line, and the young girl situated by it. She had to refrain from quivering in excitement, the almost-luminescent markings on her fur undulating as she shifted her weight from paw to paw. “I’d like to participate in this event, if you’ve got an open slot for me,” she said to the young common Kuhna, who, judging by her looks, could not be but a few years younger than herself. This was going to be fun!

[Shieba]

Ah, the beach! It was so nice, now that winter had finally made way for spring. Rosalind enjoyed the soft sand under her paws, but her peaceful walk came to a halt when she spotted some eggs in the water. Eggs? What was going on here? Obviously, there was some kind of event going on on top of the nearby cliff. Well, she had free time and events were always fun, so why not checking it out?

Rosalind made her way to the top and read through the posted rules. A swimming event? Well, Felloxes weren't exactly made for water and she hated to get her ribbons wet, but this looked like a fun thing to do, after all. "I'd like to join, if I may", she said to Trixy, smiling. Oh, how Rosalind wished her father would do fun stuff like this with her, but noooo...Trixy sure seemed to be a lucky girl. Well, no matter, Rosy could do it on her own just as well. Slowly, she made her way down to the starting line and waited for the event to start.

[Akida]

Kizzai was glad Akida chose her to go on this fun expedition she was very excited to see what would happen throughout the game. She listened to the speaker, then once the speech and rules were finished she made sure she grabbed the required papers needed. Although she was but a small Kuni, she was very good at swimming. She only wished that Spitz could join her, but the excitement may be too much for the bubble spirit then she said to herself aloud, "Oh well..."

[Maelstrom]

The cool breeze ruffled Bastet's folded headsail as she walked along the beach, enjoying the quiet calm of the day. But the next gust of wind also brought a blur of noise from up ahead of her. There seemed to be some kind of crowd gathering, listening to a young common kuhna. The crowd might have driven her away, except for the prodding of her curiousity urging her to find out what might be going on.

She arrived and stood in the back listening, poking at the grassy turf with her claws. Some kind of swimming competition where you picked up eggs? The sailfin knew she was quite a good swimmer, and it sounded like fun; the prize didn't matter much but she would like to do her best. Decision made, she hesitantly approached the youngling and her father. "Please, I'd like to participate miss." Purpose acomplished she went to wait at the starting line.

[Remedy]

Bryan was hoping around near the beach.  He had dropped his foot somewhere... things really weren't starting off good for him.  If Kirk really wanted him to come here, then why didn't she come, too?  Ah, confusion.  

After hobbling around for quite a while, he finally found the foot he was looking for and stuffed it back on.  Then he took a look around to see a crowd of people paricipating in some sort of event.  It sounded like fun...

He walked over to a random lady and asked her about it.  After a pretty good understanding, he went up to a Kuhna the the lady had pointed out and asked, "Can robots particapate?" it really did sound like fun, and it might be a good way to pass time without a DS... Hey, maybe he'd even find something for Kirk.

Trixy took down names, dotting “I”s with little hearts with her FAVORITE purple crayon. Yikes was this even organized?

“Welcome all of you who have showed up so far~!” She said, “If you want to teak up you have to tell me before we start. Otherwise it’s a singles event-thinger!”

A strangely robotic voice spoke to her and she looked down, blinking at Bryan curiously, “What? Oh well... Can you swim? I dropped my pokerunner in the toilet once and it didn’t work after that,”
Well? They were both electronic, right.
“I got a new one but if you break in the water we can’t really get a new one of you, right? But if you’re um...” She turned to her daddy, “What’s that word? Waterprof? Water...?”
“Water PROOF, Hun.” The older man smiled, patting her head. How cute.
“Yah! If you’re water proof then sure, you can join too!”

(( So yah if you guys are planning on teaming up, let me know. It could mean increased points if you do. If you don’t tell me then I’m assuming you’re going solo. ^___^ Which is fine. ))

Ah, there were more people coming in. Even if this event was fruitless for him, it was nevertheless amusing to see all those who came. Kuhnas, paragon...even a velix. Granted, K'riit didn't think that something that looked mechanical would last long underwater, but what the hey. Nothing ever made sense in this land.

At the same time, he heard something about a "team" mentioned. Did this mean that he could work with someone else for added gain? Being a goldclaw werebetta, his instincts told him to work alone, and his form was probably well-designed enough to get him through this anyway. Yet, at the same time, some of the others didn't look so well prepared. Something inside him told him to help one or two of them out.

As such, that was what his decision was. Find another person, team up with them, and both of them would benefit in the end. K'riit glanced at each of them in turn, trying to decide which one of them needed help the most.

Bryan looked at the Kuhna girl, then wiggled his arms an legs.  His right arm fell off.  "Uh, as long as that doesn't happen too often, then I think I'll be fine." he said, grinning while reattaching his arm.  He was pretty sure that Meggan had mentioned something about water while looking over his 'diagrams'.  He just couldn't remember exactly what she had said... And if it were good or bad.

Just to be sure, though, he sat down and checked all his main joints and pulled some screws tighter with his small claws.  A couple times his fingers fell off...
Yah, he thought to himself sarcastically.  I'm DEFFINATELY not going to have any problems here.

So there were more opportunities to join this so called "event"? Well then of course Klum would have to join! He slithered his way over to the person who was seemingly in charge and gave them a once over. "So...The name is Klum and I'd like to be in your...swimming contest." He said, giving her a dashing smile.

Although he seemed pretty together, inside his heart was racing. He was so eager to be able to start the contest, and his very competitive nature begged him to start right now. But of course that would be cheating and Klum never liked to cheat. As he waited for her response he glanced at the other contestants to see what he was up against. His gaze fell upon some Werbetta. If they had teamed up surely they would win? He slowly made his way over to K'riit.

Helena had been bored. She wanted an adventure, she wanted to move past what had happened in the Slums. Forget about Arnold. He wasn't important. She had left him in the dust; she didn't need him!

Right?

Truth was, all she could think about was him-- his stupid leather jacket that smelled like motor oil and the slightest tinge of cinnamon, the way his smile always failed to be full (and usually looked like a smirk), the way he just... did everything! Ugh! She couldn't stand it. He was taking up too much of her thought. Being boy obsessed (especially over this boy) was the last thing she wanted.

She needed something to take her mind off of it. So she was going to her favorite diving cliff.

She chomped her shark/alligator teeth lazily as she moved along, her lithe body practically propelling her through the air as much as it did water. Her pelt was on edge; she couldn't wait to feel the cool waves wash over her and calm her into a pleasurable swim--

"What the heck?!"

Helena stared at the large group that was standing around. What was going on here? She walked up to the stand where the participators entered. "Excuse me, I'd like to know what's going on here! This is a relaxation place, specifically mine. You cannot be here." she growled. Looking at what was going on she tried to set down her fur. If she stayed calm, maybe she could get them to move.

Shauvan padded a short distance out onto the soft sandy beach, he paused surveying the scene before him, he could see several water and land Evelonians eagerly clustering around the starting area of the Easter Swimming event. He was reluctant to join them as he didn't tend to get on well with company, but after a few moments he found himself slowly walking towards the small crowd, after all it was better this than going back to the Ranch and having to deal with Flyf's piercing screams and wails. To tell the truth the only reason he was at this event was because of the Candy Corn Kitrell, she was utterly obsessed with candy and was positive that the eggs in the swim would be made of lots of tasty chocolate and filled with all sorts of yummy sweets, if she was super lucky some might even have some candy corn left over from Halloween in them! And if not then they must be able to at least buy some candy with the points they win! That was the sort of nonsense she had been squeaking at him all day anyway, and purely for some peace and quiet he had finally submitted, cursing his luck at being the only member of the Ranch who could swim. At least he had managed to make her stay at the Ranch rather than coming with him to 'cheer him on', Shauvan allowed himself to relax and try to enjoy the fun, after all it was rather peaceful here, where there were no Kitrells, the sound of the waves and the delicious sun on this fur was just 'aaah'.

Finally reaching the event organisers the Venom Sheilupe nodded stifly to them and cleared his throat "I'd ah... like to ah... join... please", well there it was, no backing out now.

Olive

Olive ran as fast as she could.
Was she going to make it in time?
She hoped, oh how much she hoped.
She had heard of events going on throughout Evelon and had missed the first two.
She prayed she didn't miss this one.
There was a large crowed gathered at the beach.
It made her worry.
"Uh, excuse me!" She shouted over the crowed, bouncing around.
"Excuse me, I would like to join!" She shouted again.
Oh she hope she was in time.

A young girl with blond, shoulder-length hair came skipping happily along with her mom, until she saw the sign that said a egg-hunt thingy was open. "Mommy! Mommmyyyyyy," she exaggerated "I have to join?! Please???" She asked, partly whining. The mother nodded. "Oh Thank you thank you thank you!!" the girl said happily.
