[Maelstrom]

Wait, the hydrolisk had just...given it to her? Did that just really happen? No way! The paragon's mouth dropped open in an entirely undignified way, but she still reached down to gently pick the the pink egg up in her claws.

Still, she wanted to convey her gratitude as best she could. "I...th-thank you Miss." She wished that she had something to give the hydrolisk, but had nothing but the eggs she had collected on her. Even though the other could not see it, the paragon bowed to the retreating back, "Best wishes and luck in your future." The look in it's eyes; she could not help but feel a shab of pity for it.

[HunnyBun]

Olive didn't stay upset for to long.
She could never stay upset.
She smiled and chuckled as she head for the beach.
Bouncing the egg around as she did so.
"At least I got to participate." She chuckled.

[Maelstrom]

She hadn't noticed before, but the kuni had also come to look for the pink egg while she and the hydrolisk had talked. Bouncing it in the palm of her clawed hand she motioned towards her teammate to head back to the shore. The three of them could compare results and see how well they'd done. With a strong feeling of relief she slipped back under the water and wearily made for the shore.

[Remedy]

Once again, the egg was gone.  As he looked around, Bryan realized that every egg was taken.  Looks like it is time to head back in.  He was full of eggs now, (as odd as that may sound x.x), and he needed to empty then out.  Off he went.

It was fun, the whole event.  He was glad he joined.

[Akida]

The Kuni realized she had spoken in vain, but at least it was her teammate to get that egg right? She was glad that this was finally over! She could take it easy on the way to the shore, or more like the shallows for her. She followed the lovely paragon towards the starting line where it had all begun. It was fun, even if she did go partially insane for a moment.

[Yomegami]

Upon reaching the shoreline, K'riit poked his head above the water again and turned to watch everyone else coming in. To tell the truth, he really wasn't paying attention to what anyone else was doing. What had become of the eggs the hydrolisk had (apart from the one he had)? Just where were the eggs he didn't get hiding? So many questions, but as the event was almost over, he doubted he'd get answers. He spread his fins apart to see if all the eggs he'd collected were still with him. Yep, still there, everything from lowly Egg 5 from the hard-fought for Egg 44. Once again, a sense of pride washed over him.

He turned out again to see everyone coming in. Perhaps his teammates would show themselves soon, and he'd show them just what he was doing.

Shauvan limped slowly through the shallows and finally up onto the soft dry sandy beach, looking back he could see that his leg looked slightly swollen, but at least the cool sea water had helped to keep it from getting too bad, and even though it had hurt the cut on his muzzle was definately clean thanks to all of the salt. All in all he had had a lot of fun (though he wouldn't be telling the Kitrell that), and to top it off he would get to laze about back at the ranch whilst his wounds healed, he could probably get some of the younger zoo members to do things for him too, they were generally scared of him anyway, an angry injured Shauvan would only be scarier and they wouldn't want that.

Shauvan flopped onto the beach heedless of the sand that stuck to his fur, his ribbon wrung itself out a short distance away and then floated back over to him, he decided to take a little rest here before heading back home, besides the organisers would probably be calling out the results and making some sort of announcement or something.

WHOA! That was hectic! Everyone was on their way back (GOD MODING FEAR!) and Trixy went about recording the points they'd collected.

"Oh Mr. Fish! Your face!" He was all clawed up, poor Mr. Fish...
"You were hanging out with that mean ol' hydrolisk, weren't cha'? I hope you're alright." She said, counting the points up before moving on, her dad trailing behind her and helping count the higher numbers.

Olive looked around, she had been washed up on the shore.
She smiled, as she climbed onto the dry sand.
The sand was warm and felt good.
She lied on her back, taking in the warm sun light and helping herself dry off.
She closed her eyes as she waited for them to announce the winner.

((Are you sure I have 35? According to my count, I have 40. I snagged 4, 8, 14 (=5 points), then 30 (=5 points) and then 28, 42 and 43 (=30 points). At least you didn't tell me that I failed 30 (I failed 29, but not 30, as far as I know and recall from your PMs and my posts). Failing 30 would be the only explanation for 35 points.))

Rosy - wet, with soaked ribbons and totally tired - flapped her little wings. She had done well! Really well! She only hoped no one was mad at her for getting so many valueable eggs, especially since she wasn't an aquatic creature to begin with, while many others here were. How had she gotten so lucky?

K'riit couldn't help but chuckle a little at Trixy's concern over his wounds. He was a werebetta; fighting was what he was bred for. He'd shake it off.

Ah, it was so nice to be able to rest for once. Now, all that remained was to see how everyone did. Really, K'riit didn't care about winning or losing (although he figured that, seeing as the team consisted of himself, the paragon, and the kuni were the only team formed for this event, they won), but he didn't think he did so shabby. Granted, tangling with a hydrolisk wasn't something he planned on doing again until he was a bit more well trained, but what the hey. It'd been worth it.

He looked around to see where his teammates were and how they reacted. He would have liked to know how they did.

[Remedy]

Well, 18 was as good as anything.  It was also better than nothing, and much more than he expected to get.  After going through his eggs, he emptied out some water that was still left in him and fixed his arm again properly.  He two bottlecaps fell to the ground.
He just stood there staring at them for a while.  Then he scooped them up and ate them without warning, and afterward ran up to the little common kuhna girl and gave her a hug.  He just felt like she might like one.
Then he realized he still had his 'cape' on and how stupid he must look.  But he didn't take it off.

Shauvan listened attentively as the final scores were read out, he had got a total of 26 points which wasn't to be sniffed at, it was actually quite a good amount and he was perfectly happy with it, Flyf certainly wouldn't be able to complain... except for the fact that the eggs were plastic and most definately didn't contain any candy corn.. but still she could hold onto her hope that she could buy some sweets with the points he had won her, hopefully that would keep her from squealing at him... seriously someone needed to wean that Kitrell off of candy, it was no wonder she was always so hyper!

Delicately picking himself up off of the sand Shauvan stood, he had heard all he wanted to hear, now he just wanted to be home where he could rest up in peace in his own private bedroom, he didn't even bother to try and shake off the clumps of wet sand that stuck to him in fear of aggravating his sprained leg, besides he figured it would fall off slowly as it dried during his long walk home. Shauvan limped slowly away from the crowd, but he didn't look at all sorry for himself, in fact he almost wore his injury as a kind of badge of bravery and honour, head held high and a big grin on his face.

[Akida]

Kizzai was glad that this was finally over. She'd had much fun hunting for the eggs, going insane for a moment, and offering a helping fin to a team she was a part of. All of this made their announced win a the better. Individually, she had not done as bad as she thought she did. Fifth place was very good, her partners had managed to make third and first place. After the little kuhna girl had spoken, she mad her way over to K'riit.

"Congradilations Big Betta! You got first place all by yourself! Hee Hee! And look! The lovely Paragon got third and I got fifth and we won it all together! Aren't you glad?!"
Although she only knew the werebetta for only a day and even so only spoke with him once or twice, she'd  managed to like the big dangerous fish and not fear him as much as before. She smiled and turned to wave at Bastet.

"Heeey! Congrats! We did it together!"
She smiled and laughed happily, but as soon as her laughter was done she calmed down and just floated in the calm waters of the sea shore. Her little body exhausted from today's excitement.

[Maelstrom]

Smiling her paragon smile at all the other contestants now that the competition was finally over, Bastet waded back to shore, staying in the shallows near her teammates. It wouldn't be very fair to go on shore where they couldn't go. As they waited for the results she let the small waves shove her body back and forth, relaxing after all of that swimming. It hadn't seemed so much at the time, but now that she could look back over the water she couldn't believe how far she'd gone that day.

The golden paragon threw her head back and laughed at the little kuni's enthusiasm. "We all did well. Congrats on both of your first and fifth place finishes; it was a fun event. Thank you all for being on my team." She smiled one last time at the both of them and put her head down to rest on her forelegs.
