Okay, Egg 19 was obtained. Now, he could head back to the hydrolisk area and...hold the phone. K'riit vaguely recalled seeing an egg back at the whirlpools. Well, he might as well go back and grab Egg #38 if someone hadn't taken it by now. With a sigh, K'riit turned around and swam back the way he came.

Shauvan's muzzle smarted from where the Hydrolisk had slapped it with her tail, pausing he reached a paw up to rub the wound and stupidly rubbed a load of salt water into it, "Ouch! ohhh...ahhh.eeee" he grumbled to himself, tears springing to his eyes as the stinging in his muzzle intensified. Reminding himself not to do that again, he shook the tears loose and started on his way again, it was only after this brief paused that he noticed his back leg was twinging a bit, perhaps he had sprained it during the fight? Great! That's all I need, now it ill take me even longer to get to the egg that i'm not even sure is there yet he rolled his eyes but continued gamedly on ignoring his hurts as much as he could.

[Remedy]

Oh, It was pretty close.  Bryan took his time going after it this time, since he was getting a little tired.  Pretty soon Mr. 'Super Robot' was back on the ocean floor, making his way to the egg.

The Sheilupe was really starting to wallow now, thankfully the tide seemed to be helping him out a little bit and gently pushed him nearer the egg. He really wanted to put on a spurt of speed to get there faster but really didn't have the energy; especially as he could see a robot walking under the water heading for the same egg... wait a minute.. a robot??? In salt water??? In any water??? Shauvan couldn't believe his eyes, he must have been hurt worse than he thought for now he was hallucinating! Turning his attention back the the place the egg was supposed to be in, the canine studiously ignored the odd figment of his imagination It's not there, just ignore it and it will go away.

Olive watched as the two tried to talk themselves into trying to get the egg.
What if they succeeded?
She would end up with only one egg.
She couldn't fail that bad.
Everyone else had at least two.
Gritting her teeth she made a fast decision.
She nodded and took a deep breath and dove towards the Hydrolisk.
She didn't want to fight, but she had no other choice.
She had to get that egg!

Luckily the little kuni went unnoticed as the hydrolisks attention was directed to Rhea.

The hydrolisk looked Rhea over warily. Why wasn’t she attacking her?
“... What could you possibly offer me?” She asked, tail twitching slightly back and forth as she tried to figure out just what the heck Rhea was up to. Why she trying to catch her off guard?

The hydrolisk looked the paragon up and down, then scoffed.
“I don’t rightly care WHAT happens to them. Here, you can have it,” She said, carelessly tossing the little egg to Bastet, the worry in her eyes were clear as day though.
“Enjoy your prizes...” The venom creature said with a hiss, turning her back to the two of them that were here.

He was on the road again, and by now somewhat hoping he could get off of it soon. Sometime in the not-too-distant future, he was going to get stuck in a whirlpool for the sake of an egg again. How swell.

For now, he enjoyed the easy going while he could. At the same time, he wondered what his teammates were up to. He could've sworn he saw one of them earlier....

Kicking to the surface, Bryan grabbed the egg.  He was beginning to wonder if any others were left.  He surely didn't know what to go for next, but he thought he might as well stride in the direction of Egg #17.  Back twards the shore...

Well, wow. Seemed like someone had managed to snag the egg from the Hydrolisk as well. Rosy sighed (and almost drowned herself while doing so). Then again - she had gotten three of the really big eggs, out of four. She had been most successful and was quite proud of herself anyway. With all her eggs in tow, she decided that it was finally time to get back to the beach. Now she only had to get out of the whirlpools and into calmer water. Satisfied with her performance, Rosy started to slowly swim back to finally dry her fur and ribbons.

Shauvan finally reached the area where the egg was supposed to be, and it was still there, he wondered briefly how the others had managed to overlook it, but then scooped it up and added it to his small bundle. Turning towards the shore he began doggy paddling back, looking forward to a good long rest. As he headed off he thought he spotted the robot again... maybe he should get himself seen to by a doctor when he got back, that near drowning must have caused some temporary brain damage.

K'riit, wanting to get this over with, picked up the pace as he continued onwards. He didn't know it, but he was about to grab what was likely the last egg in this entire event match.

He started humming a tune, bored as he was with this entire event. Okay, he admitted it, he had time for music making.

Olive sighed deeply.
She had failed to get any other egg.
There was no way that she would make it to the last one.
She shrugged.
"Well, one is better than none." She said to try and cheer herself up.
She decided to head back to shore and wait for it to end.

With that, the final egg was safely tucked behind his fin along with the others he had gathered. How many did he manage to grab? K'riit honestly didn't know. He'd lost count a long time ago.

Now, to get out of these infernal whirlpools and back home, where he could take a nice, long rest and wait for these wounds to heal. Oh wait, he still had to see how his teammates did. He wasn't leaving without seeing the results of that.

With a swift motion, K'riit turned and headed back to the shore, a weird sort of satisfactory grin on his face.

Rhea sighed forlornly at the sight that all of the eggs had been spoken for. And she? Well, she'd ended up with one measly egg. So much for winning. Resigned, she slowly began to make her way back towards the beach. The water though, did not seem inclined to let her mope for long; soon, the bounce had returned to her paddling and she couldn't help but to frolick in the water as she headed back. Well, at least she'd gotten a chance to swim in the ocean again, right? If anything, that was the best consolation prize she could have asked for.

She gawked at the sheer size of the Hydrolisk. She was glad that it didn't notice her right away. Kizzai though long and hard this time.
One one fin I could be a real sneaky bugger and take the egg, but on the other fin...I could just banzai into the place and wreak possible havoc on myself. Then again that isn't very good. The kuni noticed the half sad, half angry expression on the hydro's face. Everyone did seem to be coming into the place and taking her eggs. She empathized with the hydrolisk for a moment. Then bulked up all her courage.

"E..excuse me... I know you didn't notice me before and all, but I'd like to apologize for all the stress you have gone through so far. I really am, but I would very much like to have that lovely pink egg you are guarding so very well with your life. Even though I have not much to treasure, I think I have an idea of how you feel with all these hunters... myself include... barging in and trying to take your eggs. Successful or not I am willing to ask nicely for that egg. But really, I am but a bite sized morsel for you if you decide to eat me, and that's not very filling.. I know that because breadcrumbs aren't very filling for me.."

She noticed she had gone partially off topic, but at least her mind was totally sane at this point, and she empathized a lot with the hydrolisk.

"Anywho, all I am saying is.. May I please have that egg? It is alright if you turn me away. I wont bother you again."
