Sam smiled down at Radise and let a paw rest gently on her head. Meanwhile, her other paw slipped back to meet Apollo's again, her eyes sliding away from the dozing kuhna to the awake one. "So, then, looks like she's off for the night." she murmured quietly, trying not to wake up her daughter as she smiled at Apollo suggestively. "So, I might want to take her back to her pen so she can sleep, hmm?"

Apollo chuckled as he winked back at Sam.  "Fine with me, Sam." He said, looking at the sleeping Taanre.  "But I trust that you'll be back soon afterwards?" He asked, smiling back.  He turned back to the counter and ordered another peppermint mocha before turning back to Sam.

Sam grinned and gently scooped up Radise, heading off towards her daughter's pen to drop the sleeping girl off. Wow. This had been a good day. She'd met her daughter, and found a nice guy.... Laughing, she let a grin cross her face. After this, she could get to know that guy in question a bit better...

Apollo chuckled as he watched Sam carry Radise off, from what he had heard from Yeesha and Aitrus, she was mostly a rough-and-tumble, "I won't take no for an answer"-type femme.  Whether or not she had intended on letting him see a softer facet of her personality was not a question; she was a nice girl; one that he would really like to know better.  Granted, the enchanting Kuhna he had met a while back was nice, but...

After returning Radise to Estelle at the pen, who, Sam thought guiltily, she had severely misjudged, Sam came back back to the cafe to meet with Apollo again. She hoped he was still there. Had he run off when she went to drop off Radise? Apprehension gripping her now, she pushed open the door of the cafe, which was near empty now. "Are you still here, Apollo?" she called, looking around.

Apollo's ears perked as he set down his glass, which he had had refilled for about the tenth time or so.  "Yes, I'm still here, Sam." He said, looking around until he saw her at the door.  "Can't really go much anywhere here, especially when I still wanted to talk with you." He said, chuckling.

"Oh, so I was still interesting enough for you to stick around, hm?" asked Sam teasingly, slipping back into the booth across from Apollo and grinning at him. "That's good to hear, anyway. Radise is back at home, sleeping soundly." she noticed that there was a drink sill at her place, and she picked it up and peered inside curiously. My, my, a chocolate shake laced with vodka. "Did you ask the bartender what my drink was, by any chance?" she asked, looking up at Apollo.

Apollo chuckled.  "Well, if you wanna call it that." He said, smiling.  When she said that Radise was safe at her home, sleeping soundly, he smiled.  "I didn't realize that you were such a motherly character... I mean, when I saw you in the Slums, you seemed like such a... well, not the Mother Hen type." He said, and then, he looked over at the drink.  "Ah, yes; that should be a chocolate shake with just a little bubbly in it.  At leats, that's what he told me..." He said as the bartender brought another one out for him.  He took a sip, and instantly put the drink down, trying to detect what the other flavor was among the chocolate.

Sam nearly snorted into her drink but managed to control herself at the last second, taking a sip of the shake. "Umm... yeah. Bubbly. Right." she said, giggling and taking another sip. Oh, this WAS going to be fun. She'd have to remember to thank that bartender later. He was being nice to her today. One drunk Apollo, on the house...

Apollo decided to jsut hang whatever was in the drink; it tasted very good, whatever it was.  He took another sip, his senses slowly becoming numb.  Finally, when the glass was just barely half-empty, be put it aside, chuckling.  "Wow... that's a little stronger than I thought it would be..." He said, hiccupping.

"I-I suppose it must be." said Sam, fighting not to squeal in delight. He had to be drunk! He'd just chugged half of glass of heavily Vodka laced milkshake. Still, as an optimist would say, the glass was still half full. She took another sip of her own. "Sooo... Tell me about yourself, Apollo." she said, settling on her elbows and staring at Apollo.

Apollo chuckled.  "Well... I was born into a clan of mostly other Arkuhnas.  Lived with my cousin's family for quite some time because mine just... kinda left me there one day." He said, putting a paw to his head for a minute before continuing.  "One day, a bunch of humans attacked our clan.  Left only my cousin and I alive, 'cause we were inside the whole time, asleep.  I woke up when I heard a commotion outside, but soon darted back inside.  Ended up separated from my cousin for a while, running through the forests to escape packs of Talis, Sahounds, and Felloxes.  Finally stumbled upon the Arena and right into her--almost got into a fight when I recognized her." He said, taking another sip of his drink.

"Wow..." said Sam, watching Apollo intently as he told his story. She was listening, she really was. It wasn't her fault if other things about him were distracting her, was it? Still, that was awful about his family dying... "Who was your cousin?" she asked, taking another small drink of her milkshake and eyeing the level of his. Why would humans attack a clan of kuhnas? That didn't make very much sense at all...

Apollo thought for a minute.  "My cousin's E??wyra.  The one I mentioned back in the Slums." He said, finally pushing the drink away.  "I definitely drank that too fast... Brainfreeze." He said, putting a paw up to one of his temples.  His vision was getting a bit fuzzy now, and his head was throbbing.  Looked like he had managed to get himself drunk after all.

"Um, yeah, that's it. Definitely just a brain freeze. No doubt about that." Said Sam hurriedly, changing the subject rapidly. "Anyway, so, um, why did you nearly get in a fight with her? Weren't you happy to see her after all that time, and stuff?" she said, trying to distract Apollo. Oh, men were so often more fun when they were drunk...
