Gareth watched Fox get up and meet his friend, willing to hang back and get a gauge on this wild girl before he was forced to deal with her. He took another long drink of his beer. She looked as if she was wanting to be conspicuous, while Fox looked as if he was trying too hard to be inconspicious. At any rate, they were by far the most conspicuous thing in the bar, and everyone seemed to be paying them attention. Gareth sighed, then stood up, leaving his beer, and headed towards the door. Fox and his friend could follow, but it seemed like Venn didn't realize that she was being hunted down. There were too many people in the bar for Gareth to be comfortable with their silence.

Fox pulled at Venn, mumbling quiet annoyances to her.  He ushered her out of the bar, apologizing to patrons that Venn had disturbed.   He, luckily, got outside before anyone ended up as a threat.  He let out a sigh as the sun hit his face, the heat much more welcome than the many patrons inside the bar.

Venn was barely out of the bar before she jumped up to Gareth.  "Who are you?  You were with Fox, right?"

Gareth's brow furrowed as Venn came up to him, not quite sure what to make of the exuberant girl. "My name is Gareth. You might want to tone everything down if you really want that Wolf guy off your tail." Gareth looked around the street, then moved back towards the hotel, motioning for the two to follow. "It's none of my business, but that guy gave off a bad aura. He doesn't seem the type who would spare innocents to get what he wants."

Venn tensed up, eyes wide.  "I- I didn't think he'd get here so fast."  She whispered.  Fox put a hand on her shoulder to try to comfort her.  "I just wanted to do somethin' with my life y'kno?  Help people, get bad people, but I didn' realize that all this would happen."  She put her hands on her head.  "I just wanna have fun too, just wanna have a life.  I could if it wasn't for him!"  She looked up, eyes fiery.  "One day, one day he'll get what's comin to him!"

Fox squeezed her shoulder to calm her down, and lead her towards the hotel.  She was still a bit shaky.

Gareth was quiet during Venn's rant, carefully listening. He still wasn't quite sure what to make of the girl, but he thought it would be safe to call Venn a girl of fiery emotions. She certainly didn't feel things by halves. Gareth held the door open for the two, then directed them towards Fox's room. "Is there no way that you can shake him?"

Fox slowly took his hands from the still slightly shaky Venn, letting them hang limply at his sides as they both followed Gareth into the room.  Almost instantly Venn leapt onto the creaky hotel bed, sighing dramatically and burrying her face into the scratchy blankets.  Fox flinched in response, Creators save her she doesn't know where those have been!  He thought with a shudder.

He turned to Gareth, replying to him in a dry voice "We are not sure.  He seems determined."  

"Determined as a..  as a stinky rat!"  Venn called out as she lifted her head up and rested it on her arms.  "I dunno even what his problem is.  Guess we're just the easiest to get.  He hates everyone I think."

Gareth sighed under his breath, running a hand over his beard. He looked at the pair, his solemn eyes level. "Hopefully by this time, he's out of town and wandering around the jungles. If I were you, I'd leave in the opposite direction before he realizes he's been tricked. I wouldn't want to be around when that happens."

Fox looked back at Gareth with too-obvious tired eyes.  He sighed deeply, rubbing his head.  "I suppose that is what we should do."  He mumbled, mostly to himself.  He looked to Venn, who shared his tired look.  "It is hard.  To run always, but we must."  Venn groaned in response, trying to hide herself in an itchy pillow

Gareth sighed heavily, then ran a hand through his beard. "The problems really begin to start when you stop running," he said quietly, his eyes flickering with a soft sadness. He looked at Fox then Venn, expression solemn. "He is willing to kill you. Are you willing to kill him?"

Fox's eyes darkened, slowly nodding.  "I.. Yes, we are."  He turned to Venn who quietly nodded, her face unreadable.  He turned back to Gareth, sighing.  "I just do not know if we can defeat him.  He is much more trained, more agile than us.."   He looked up at the ex-knight, eyes sparkling a tiny bit, "But..  With you?  You are armored, and far more trained."

Gareth paused for a moment, his dark eyes widening. He looked from Fox, to Venn, then back to Fox, the frown deepening on his face. "Wait just a moment." He said slowly, his voice coming out low and rough. "Are you asking me to fight with you?" It wasn't like Gareth wouldn't fight Wolf. Wolf wasn't a good person; he'd obviously spread evil and violence where he went. But the knight would have liked a simple request, all the same.
