Mimsy's mouth hung open in a cheerful smile with her tongue hanging slightly out the side. Most of the time she resembled an overgrown puppy, and her excitement about decorations wasn't helping the matter. Even though staring at the lights was tempting, she forced herself to look at Rosie while she was talking. There was something about the way Rosie said stuff that just made it sound that much more awesome. Her head shifted to one side as it often did when she was contemplating something.
"'Calico cat in her Sunday best.' Where do you learn stuff like that?" Mimsy asked with a giggle. It was a sincere question, actually, thought it may not have come off as one. She was genuinely fascinated by Rosie's mannerisms, and her query about them was innocent curiosity.
"Wait!" she said, bright blue eyes growing wide. "Did you say coffee? I love coffee!" If she weren't sitting down, she would probably be hopping in place again. Her friends at school didn't let her have coffee anymore, not since... Well, she wouldn't have to tell Rosie about that, now would she?
