Nice and peaceful, Nabias offers a great place to start your journey or stock up on supplies before heading out to brave the rest of the wilderness out there. They also have Barakka's largest hospital facility to treat all sorts of injuries you could get out there. (+2 Precision)

Dazed, Confused, and a Little Bit Bruised [P; Silver/Zap]

Vital sign check--head? Pounding. Limbs? Numb and immobile. Heart? ...beating. That, at the very least, he was acutely aware of. The creature focused on this steady sound as he lay limply against the fallen rocks that he'd landed on. He'd been faintly aware of falling--hurtling, even, towards a cliffside, and then blacking out until he'd awoken here.

Even so... the idea of staying awake seemed a bit daunting, at the moment. The creature's eyelids drooped woozily, and he brought a hand up to stare at, confusion barely registering in his eyes. This... wasn't his hand at all. Something was very, very strange about this hand, about the rocks poking him in the back, about the painful headache that seemed to slowly spread through his entire head and down his neck. Fingers... three fingers. Three distinctly odd-looking fingers.

So he was dreaming, then. He was dreaming, or something inexplicable was going on. No matter the answer, he knew he was in no shape to find out. In all honesty, he felt like he was dying, with how badly that headache was beginning to settle deeper and deeper into his skull. For now, he'd sleep. He'd only rest for a little while, and if he was still alive when he woke up, he'd figure all of this business out.

He was, after all, a human--surely any person walking by would be kind enough to stop and help him.
You're a door-without-a-key,
A field-without-a-fence.
You made a holy fool of me,
And I've thanked you ever since.
If she comes circling back,
We'll end where we'd begun,
Like two pennies on the train track
The train crushed into one,
Or if I'm a crown without a king,
If I'm a broken open seed,
If I come without a thing,
Then I come with all I need.
No boat out in the blue,
No place to rest your head
The trap I set for you seems to have
Caught my leg instead.

I do not exist. I do not exist. I do not exist.

A flash of light in the distance. A feeling of unease.

"Wooooooah!" the Sylveon cooed. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with wonder. "Did you see that?" The Zubat she was talking to let out a heavy sigh in response.

"Oh. Right. Well. There was a light over there," she hopped up with her paws on the windowsill and pointed with one of her ribbons. "It looked pretty close!" Quark flew over and perched on the window next to Amie. His sensitive ears flicked every which way, trying to pin down any sound out of place. Mysterious light or no, something felt amiss.

"We have to go see what it was!" Amie dropped to the ground and bounced across the room.

"Hold on," Quark insisted. Meanwhile, Amie was already stuffing things into her bag. "I'm not so sure about this. Plus, isn't it a little late to..."

"Aren't you nocturnal?" she interjected. Her tail wagged with anticipation as she wiggled into her harness. "There! All set. Let's go!"

"Seriously!" He said firmly, leaving his perch to hover over her head for emphasis. "It could be dangerous! You have no idea what could be out there. Not to mention whatever created the light! Plus, the sun is about to go down, do you want to be stuck..."

A muffled squeak escaped him as she wrapped a ribbon around him and cinched it tight. "It'll be fiiiine! Stop being such a worry-wing!"

Whether Quark liked it or not, the two of them headed off into the wilderness. It was a quiet and peaceful trip for the most part. Quark was perfectly happy to be proved wrong, but Amie couldn't help herself from becoming bored and impatient.

"Man I swear it was closer than this," she whined, looking all around. "Do you think we missed it?"

"How should I know?" He would have rolled his eyes if only he had any. "Wait!" he said sharply, dropping back. "I can hear something."

The two of them ducked behind a nearby rock. Amie was frozen in wide eyed excitement, staring intensely at Quark's twitching ears. "It sounds like breathing," he whispered. "It seems strained."

"We have to help!" She responded, entirely too loudly.

His eyes opened again with a start at the sound of a voice echoing from somewhere nearby. He thrashed on the rocks, a startled noise bursting out of him, but his voice was nothing like he was used to. He coughed, ragged, panic beginning to set in as he realized that nothing had changed since he'd fallen asleep. He struggled to get up, half crawling forward until he fell off of the pile of jagged rocks onto the forest floor, his eyes stretched wide with fear. His head, oh god his head...!

The creature cried out and curled in on himself, long purple tail sweeping around to try to block out the sunlight filtering through the trees as he dug at his head with his fingers. No hair. Where was his hair? Did he... ever have it? No, something... something was too foggy for him to recall... He could still feel that pressure building in his head, but it was almost as though it had multiplied tenfold and was centered at the very front of his skull, pressing on his frontal lobe and making tears bead in his eyes. He could still cry. That was a comfort... oh, but had he heard a voice, just then? If he had, he was in far too much pain now to recall it.

Amie had been slowly creeping up from behind the rock to take a peek, but she shot back down when she heard the cry of pain. Once again she looked to Quark for guidance, but he still hadn't moved except for his ever twitching ears. Unable to hold back her curiosity any longer, she took one bold step out to take a look.

"It looks like a Pokémon," she said as quietly as she could.

Of course it was a Pokémon. What else would it be? The cry of distress sounded male, but he couldn't pin it down any more than that. "Can you tell what species from here?"

"Well that's just it," she said with a pause. "I don't actually know. I've never seen anyone like it before."

"We should get out of here," Quark insisted. They were already far too close for comfort. "We don't know what he's capable of."

"No," she said sharply. "Whoever it is, he's hurt. We can't just leave him here!" Her voice got louder as she got defensive. Surely she had given their position away by now. Quark was beginning to look genuinely frightened. Amie felt bad for that, but she knew she couldn't just walk away from this one. They would have to fight about it later.

"Hey," she said gently but clearly as she walked around the front of her hiding place. Though she was ready to reveal herself, she still didn't want to get too close. "Are you... okay? Do you need help?"

[Finally! Sorry man.]

[No prob! Sorry this one took so long!]

The creature groaned softly, pawing at his head and trying to knock away whatever thing was making it hurt so horribly. Then he heard the voice more clearly, and he blinked his eyes open, which glowed with soft pink with each pulse of pain to his head.

He squinted and pushed himself over to try to face the voice, squinting through the sun filtering through the trees as his vision blurred and then refocused. Was that...? "A Sylveon...?" he mumbled, his voice rough and deep and very unlike the one he knew. What was a Sylveon doing out here in the forest? His sister had always wanted one. A sister? He'd had a sister? Before he could investigate the thought, it was snatched away from him by another burst of pain, and he winced and clutched his head, curling up on the grass.

"Where... where's your trainer, Sylveon?" he croaked out, lifting a hand to squint at the pokemon, his throat working to get more words out. "Tell--tell them I need a doctor. Or something. A-anything..." His brain had worked it out that that voice he'd heard must have belonged to another human nearby. Yes, that was what was logical, after all. He didn't want to think about how his appearance had obviously changed. At the moment, he chalked that up to hallucinations.
