Soriana and Picasso had just finished setting up their vegetable stand, and the pair needed to add some finishing touches. First, Sori sized up the stand with her own eyes. It was a tall, wooden structure with paint smears and what looked like dung covering the base, nails visible from the top of the stand, where Sori had placed a sign that read "~The Veggie Haven~ Healthy food for you and your pets!"

Returning a while later with a few more nails, an old piece of wood, and a rusted piece of metal, Sori proceeded to list the prices for the vegetables. It didn't take her very long, and before Picasso knew it, there was a single sign that stood to the right of the stand.

Broccoli ~ Fifty cents per head
Carrots (available in baby and regular versions) ~ Two dollars per pound OR fifty cents per stick
Tomatoes ~ One dollar per pound
Potatoes ~ One dollar per pound, whole sacks cost five dollars
Beets ~ Two dollars per pound
Onions (available in white and red versions) ~ Two dollars per pound
Garlic ~ Two dollars per pound
Rice ~ Five dollars per sack
Bell peppers (available in red, green, yellow, and orange versions) ~ Fifty cents per pepper

To the left of the stand, another sign read:

~The Veggie Haven~

CLOSED until further notice. Will reopen soon.

Soriana and Picasso both smiled. Now they could bring more health and happiness to Nabias.

Krystal walked into the town, with Rikki riding Night. She saw the stand, and pointed it out to Rikki. The went up to it. Krystal looked at the sign, and viewed the veggies. "Um, are you guys open?"

Lag/Sakura

"Lag see stand veggie, mmm!" The strange creature shouted to his companion, his orange eyes glittering merrily. He easily towered over the Tuskcow, standing at ten feet tall. "Lag and Sakura get veggies, mmm?"

The Battlefield Tuskcow simply smiled at Lag's strange accent and said, "Oh fine. I don't see any harm in it." Sakura strolled over to the stand, looking at the large sign on the right. Oh dear, what did these words mean? Dollars? Cents? What was that? She was only familiar with the national currency, Keystones.

"Sakura problem, mmm?" Lag didn't even bother to lean down to read the sign. He could see well enough. "Sakura wonder dollar cent, mmm?"

"Yes." Sakura worridly sighed.

"Lag help, mmm. Lag know strange money, mmm."

"Thanks Lag."

Lag stepped behind the Nyghtmare and Ferrikoon, studying the vegetables as he did so. "Lag want carrots babies, rice grain, mmm." He suddenly noticed some tomatoes and loudly exclaimed, "Lag know Sakura tomatoes like, mmm! Lag get Sakura tomatoes, mmm."

Sakura smiled and inwardly wondered how much this will cost them. "Sure, Lag."

Wow, Sori thought, I didn't think we'd have customers this quickly. Smiling a little, Sori and Picasso handed the veggies out to their customer.

Directed at the girl with the Nyghtmare, Sori answered, "Oh, yes we are! So sorry, I forgot to put out the sign."

Turning to the large blue creature, she stated, "Of course! That'll be eight dollars exactly. And I'll put the vegetables in a sack for you."

Whispering to Picasso, Sori said, "Picasso? Can you put up an open/closed sign for me? You know, a dual-sided one? Yep, that's it!"

Krystal looked at the food. "Um, a pound normal carrots. Oh, and a sack of taters and rice please." She looked at the other two, "Do you guys want anything?" Most of the food she asked for was the cave. The two shook their heads, "No thanks." Rikki said.

[Soriana]

"Well," replied Sori, "we sell normal carrots by the stick here. We have baby carrots available by the pound, though."

Calling for Picasso, Sori said to him, "Can you go and advertise to passersby about our little stand? There's more sign-making materials over in there." Sori pointed to a ditch about twelve feet away. Nodding, Picasso answered in his somewhat high-pitched voice, "Sure thing, Sori! I'll get right on that!" And with that, the kuhna ran off to make a few more signs to drum up the business.

"Oh, then four sticks please." She looked at Night. The carrots were for her. Rikki looked at the kuhnas, wondering what the ones at home were doing.

Oh boy. Did they have the money? Lag scratched his head and looked at Sakura. "Sakura bring dollarcent, mmm?"

"I don't know what a dollar or a cent is." Sakura hotly replied.

"Dollarcent no know, mmm?"

"I didn't bring any because I don't know what it is!"

"Find dollarcent, mmm." Lag shrugged. By accident, one of his tails knocked down a sign. He didn't seem to notice.

"Uh, Lag." Sakura gently flicked her tail at the sign.

Lag flushed in embarresment. "Lag sorry, mmm!" He apologized to the two Kuhnas.

Krystal looked over to the pets, they had no money? Hm. "Here, do you guys need some money? Eight dollars right?" She pulled out the money, counting it to make sure she had enoght. Rikki watched his owner, wondering why she would give money to random people.

[Soriana]

Addressing the girl with the Nyghtmare, Sori stated, "That'll be twelve dollars, please. And here's your produce."

Gazing at Picasso, Sori'd made a decision. It was time to leave Nabias for now, but they'd be back soon. Nodding at her Kuhna, Sori waited for Picasso to finish the new sign that would be placed at the front of the stand for a while. It read: "Closed until further notice. Will be reopened soon."

"Well, Picasso, we had a good run."
