Avery had always assured Isabeau that he looked fine just the way he was. While he did believe her, coming across other Talis made him nervous because his appearance had been a problem for him when he was small. If he'd been born just a regular Tali like most of them, he wouldn't be in this situation now.
He blinked at Morgiana's words, taking them in slowly, and he eventually smiled. He looked embarrassed, but in a good way; in a way that made most blush and look away. He did look away, smiling timidly, and running a paw in the snow. "Th-thank you," he whispered. "I-it means a lot."
That alone would've been enough, but then the Tali offered a candy cane to them. Sure, it was a small little thing, but it overwhelmed Isabeau to have a stranger give them a little something. "R... Really?" he asked, his voice going high-pitched again. Before he knew it, Morgiana had handed over the candy cane, and Isabeau stared at it with wide eyes. "Oh... But..." He paused, and then he looked from the candy cane to Morgiana. "But I don't have anything for you." He couldn't just take this and give nothing in return. It wouldn't feel right, for one; and for two, this was the season to give, right?
He had nothing on his person, but he looked all over himself anyway. He had to have something, anything. It was while looking around that he eventually realized he did have something he could give her. "I-it might be... um... s-something extra, b-but I hope you'll accept it!" Holding the candy cane with one wing, he pulled on the scarf he had around his neck.
It was a very simple and generic scarf; just red with white strings at the ends, and with a few embroidered snowflakes near the ends. He unwrapped it from around his neck, and he placed it around Morgiana's neck, letting it hand loose on both sides. He didn't want to tie it and invade her privacy.
Avery had been watching this whole time, and she tilted her head at Isabeau giving up his scarf. "But Isabeau, you might catch a cold without anything on." She could appreciate his giving spirit, but she didn't really agree with this one.
But Isabeau shook his head and smiled. "It's okay," he assured her, "Maybe I'll find a new one here!" He turned to Morgiana, and he smiled timidly. "Thank you so much for the candy cane! I-I hope you have a nice holiday season!" He then turned to Avery, and his tail started waging. "Come on, Avery! Let's go see all the festivities!" And before long, the Tali was off, heading straight for the Christmas events and things happening ahead.
Avery wanted to stop him, but he was too fast for her. Well, looked like she was destined to spend some time here, despite all her efforts. "Thank you for being so nice to him," she said as she turned to face Morgiana. "I think you made his day." She lifted a wing and bid farewell to the Tali. "Happy holidays! See you around," she wished, and then she headed off after the other Tali. "Isabeau, wait! We shouldn't get separated!" What a handful he was. Yet, she couldn't really see herself not having him around.

Pretty sure my time was up tomorrow, but yeah, final post to reply to Morgiana! I don't know if it'll count but obviously feel free not to count it since it was past my time limit. :> Just happy I got to participate this time around and that I even got a little something!]
