The two women took their time finishing up at the hot spring, with Xyshari loathe to part because she knew that leaving the Idalani region would meant that her armor would lose its color again. However, Lana had urged her onward, and Xyshari agreed - the sooner they set out on their investigation, the sooner they could assist in the color in the world being returned.

Or so they hoped.

"This next region is called 'Nabias'," Lana said. "There's apparently a magic well here..."

"I don't think I'll ever understand some of these traditions that people like this have," Xyshari said. "Maybe it's because, as a Jedi, such a thing would have been seen as... wasteful. Tossing a credit chit or two into a fountain or well 'for luck'? Or 'for a wish'?" Xyshari shook her head.

"I will admit, I don't understand the sentimentality behind it either," Lana said. "But, then again, maybe that's because I didn't believe in wishes as a child. Or... until we met, actually."

"Until we met?" Xyshari said, her ears perking forward. Lana nodded.

"As I've told you before, my love, you made me feel things I'd never felt before. It terrified me and excited me all at once..." Lana said, sighing as she paused and looked around. "The first time I found myself wishing something was as I walked away from you after our brief rendezvous on Yavin 4, and then again after Ziost."

"I think I understand," Xyshari said.

"But the most painful wish... was the one I worked to fulfill for five years. Five long... tedious years in which I thought I was in a nightmare I was never going to wake up from," Lana said, walking ahead to the well. Xyshari kept in step with her, placing a hand on her shoulder gently.

"I felt every second of your freezing. I was comatose for some time, although no one noticed. I had been meditating when it happened," Lana said.

"As soon as I was in a state to do anything - as soon as I knew what was going on, I set off to retrace yours and Marr's steps. I spent... so long trying to find a way to get to you, to rescue you," Lana said, her voice wavering for a moment as she looked down in the well, pulling out a singular stone that this world used as its currency.

"And then, once I knew were you were..." she said, letting the stone drop from her hand. "...I started working on how to get you set free."

"And the whole time... the whole time, I could only hope that I hadn't felt you die when I was comatose. That you were still alive. That... that I wasn't too late," Lana said, tears edging into her voice and sliding down her pale grey cheeks.

"You really were afraid you'd lost me," Xyshari said softly.

"Yes," Lana said, her voice still breaking. "As I mentioned before... I should have told you how I felt on Yavin. How I felt on Ziost."

"When the rumors of your death began to circulate, all I could do was lament how I didn't take the opportunity to tell you how I felt," Lana said, grey eyes that should have been yellow-orange staring down into the depths of the well. Xyshari reached over and pulled some of her should-have-been blonde hair behind her ear.

"I know I don't say it as often as I should, and that I didn't act it at first when you woke up... but I love you," Lana said.

"And I love you, too, Lana," Xyshari said, turning her wife and placing her hands on her shoulders. As she did this, she noticed a glint that she hadn't noticed before on her wife's shoulder pads. She withdrew her hands, staring at the accents on her wife's outfit with a perplexed expression.

"...what? Is something wrong?" Lana asked, trying to look at her shoulders unsuccessfully. However, Xyshari did not answer right away, instead circling her and muttering to herself, looking at the armor at different angles.

Finally, Xyshari stopped circling Lana as she nodded, though it was mostly to herself, as though she had confirmed something.

"I almost didn't notice it, but when I placed my hands on your shoulders... your shoulder pads glistened," Xyshari said. "I was making sure I wasn't going crazy. After all, silver is just grey with a little bit of shine, isn't it?" she asked.

Lana craned her neck around to try and look at her shoulder pads again, and Xyshari chuckled as she took one of Lana's hands in her own.

"Ah... right," Lana said, looking down at her gloves. Sure enough, the metallic accents glinted and glimmered in the sun, in a way that only silver could. Xyshari smiled as Lana looked up, and pulled her into a hug.

"Another little bit of hope," Xyshari said softly, and Lana nodded as she held her wife.

"Yes," she said. "Another little bit of hope... amazing how much just one little glint can do," she said, and Xyshari chuckled as she nodded.
