Tentan also grabbed a straw, and, dippng it into his soda, it bobbed up and down peacefully. He sipped a long slurp out of it, then gulped it down hastily. He blushed a this, then smiled at Rosie. I wonder if she likes me as much as I do with her....

Waking from his day-dreaming, Tentan spoke to the waitress lightly. He flipped through his meu, then said, I'd like the.... crab and shrimp crepe please. With extra butter." He smiled and winked at Rosie playfully, then handed the waitress 5 ks as a tip.

"Ho' lawdy, Tentan, that sounds gee-ood! Iff'n Ah didn't already have mah order decided, Ah might go fer some o' that mahself!"

Rosie looked up at the waiteress. "Ah'll have the toasted cheese ravioli as an appetizer, an' fer the main course, Ah'd like one o' them toasted Monte Christo sandwiches, please an' thank you."

She handed her menu to the waitress. "Shore, it ain't fancy, but it's durn good." She sipped her hot chocolate.

The music on the stoneolodeon changed. A smooth, jazzy melody took over. How romantic...

"Thanks! It's actually quite fun, especially when the care-takers let Urchin come play in the tea cellars..." He trailed off silently, day-dreaming about his small son. And his daughter, who surprisingly enough liked cold cow milk instead of lucain formula.

Tentan sighed and looked up at Rosie, and then noticed the romantic music. One of his tails slowly edged it's way under the table, then wrapped around one of her own. He blushed and smiled a bit, then spoe up. "So.. do you go in human form? I mean, do you usually go as a quad, or human?" He hadn't told her of his surgery yet, the one with the magical efect of human form....

"Oh, t'all depends, really. Iff'n everyone around me is goin' human, then Ah figgur Ah migh' as well too. An' iff'n Ah'm tryin' ter fix sumthin', Ah'll usually go human, 'cuz Ah ain't got no thumbs as a Luke. Bu' 'round my daddy, Ah'm usually quadbod. He ain't got no human form, an' it right annoys 'im iff'n e's gotta stand up on 'is hind legs ter hug me! Not ter mention, Ah kin run faster as a 'cain. So it's all about the situation, really."

She toyed with her hair. She always played with her curls when she was nervous. "Erm... so, Tentan, we got time. Y'all wanna dance? This song's nice..."

Tentan started to stutter and sweat lightly, then smiled. "I'd love to, Rosie." Getting up, he realized it would be hard to dance as a quad, so he changed into his human, bite me attitude form. He held out his hand to her, and waited for her to take it.

"Woohoo! Let's cut a rug!"

Rosie got out of her seat and took Tentan's hand. "So, y'all know how ter waltz, or Ah gotta show ya?" She put a hand on Tentan's shoulder and swayed in anticipation. She didn't mention it much, but she did love to dance...

Tentan blushed abit as he pulled Rosie onto the dance floor, exclaiming "I don't know how to dance, but I can geuss!" He grinned at her, twirling and spinning her in company with the music.

"Well, Tentan, ain't y'all jus' a li'l jitterbug!" Rosie spun around to the music and giggled. Was it a waltz? Not even close. But it was certainly fun!

The music changed; Rosie barely noticed. She shook and swung her feet, flying toward Tentan and wrapping her arms around him. "Woohoo!"

The music changed to a rock song, an old Beatles one. His dancing just got faster, and soon they were twirling and flying around the room, others taking after the new 'dance'. Tentan laughed good-heartedly, and got in "Are you having fun?" before they were off dancing again.

"Oooh! Ah jus' love this song!"

Rosie began to sing along. She sudden stopped to ponder, "Err, so what IS toe-jam football, anyway?" Then she laughed again. She didn't really care.

"Come togetherrrr! Righ' noooow! Over me!"

Rosie twirled. "Y'all bet Ah'm havin' fun!"

Tentan started to tap dance, trying to keep up with the music. "Me to!" He laughed with her, and he kept whirling and spinning around.

"That's good! I know I'm having fun!"

As the song changed, Tentan sped up, only to succeed in tripping over himself multiple times. The occasional oof! and ouch! was his only speech.

"Yah! Lawdy, that was mah foot!" But Rosie laughed anyway. She'd come here directly after work, after all--and she wore steel toe caps.

A waiter, bearing a tray of sandwiches, peered curiously out at them from the kitchen. "Err... not that we mind you two having fun, but do you think you could maybe move off to the side? I've got food, here..."

"Our food?"

"Did you order the delux sandwich sampler platter?"

"Ah guess not, then." Rosie shuffled to the side. "C'mon, Tentan, les' move fer the nice waiter."

Tentan followed with ouch!es, Sorry!s, & Excuse me!s. He shuffled to the side for the waiter to come through, and suddenly his face litup as though he remembered something. "Rosie, I just remembered! I'm very concerned for Urchin's safety." With a stern look on his maw, he changed into lucain form and slank away to their table, motioning for Rosie to follow.

Following suit, Rosie changed. She slid back toward the table in Lucain form, the pink tips of her tails wavering.

"Alrigh', now, Tentan, was' this about? Y'all say yer worried fer Urchin? Wha' happened to 'im? Somethin' bad? 'E go an' hurt 'imself?"

Rosie put her paws up on the table. The stonealodeon finally went silent, as if it understood that the moment was serious.

Tentan leaned forward, as if what he was going to tell was secret.

"He's... gone out to the forest... he said he was going with a... theif. A treasure-hunter. He said he also wanted to train... for war."

By this time, Tentan was frowning, sorrowful at his son's perseption of the war. As the music quieted down, waiters began swarming into the room, delivering food left and right.
