"That's true. Hmm... Well I guess we'll actually have to speak with the bandol in question or... something," The girl frowned thoughtfully to herself, "But wouldn't we be risking losing our own souls to the bandol? I mean... If the legends are true..."
They were stories but she'd proven enough "stories" and "legends" true to be cautious, you know.
"I can only reall speak with spirits, I can't save us if something goes wro-!!!" She paused, her voice catching when she heard the howl in the fog. Avani wasn't sure if they could hear the unearthly tone the voice carried. It was otherworldly; like nothing she'd ever experienced. Every hair on the back of her neck, arms and legs, stood on end as she turned her attention to where the shore would be. The shore was hidden by the fog so whatever was out there was a mystery to her.
"... Oh man... That's... Not a normal animal," she said, teeth chattering as she rubbed her arms, more from fear then the actual cold, "It's all wrong, can you hear it?"
The felling, the unnatural tone, was an almost tangible thing. It clung to her skin.
"Lets get to the hotel for now. We're not really prepared to investigate... are we?"
