Return to Jawan, the Sea City

Powuh? Well That's ONE Way to Learn... (P is for Private!)

Postby Moofius » 02/14/2010 5:04 AM

Being a port city many people flowed in and out of Jawan. Every character imaginable and more had probably walked these streets for a plethora of reasons. Some people came to buy, some to sell, some to transport, some to learn and others to teach. Other Evelonians came for adventure, others came to disappear and start over. Jawan was an interesting city and a perfect place for Bristlecape.

The alley was dark, empty and non-descript. The dumpster had peeling yellow paint and the metal was rusting away but not enough for the dumpster to be full of holes and useless.
It had a black plastic lid and littering all sides of it was spray paint. Most of it red paint and all of it was not even borderline artistic. Ugly representations of male genitalia, illegible signatures, words of wisdom from your local crack head and other things that resembled senseless scribbling more then anything else. Atop this dumpster was a trikuhna who sat on tom of a beaten and old brown book. She sat with the patience of a cat, her only movement the occasional flick of an ear or tail. Back and forth her eyes, one orange the other e piercing yellow followed the crowd of the side walk.

People parted, shifted and skirted around a chalk drawing on the sidewalk without thinking of it, as you would avoid stepping on a fresh piece of gum or pile of poo left by some inconsiderate dog and associate owner. Sometimes, very rarely, a person would pass straight through the spot and rub their arms or scratch their head. They looked confused or even shocked, hurrying through the spot. Whenever this happened Bristlecape half stood, before laying back down atop her book, a smirk on her little kuhna lips.
“Interesting...”

It was a mystery as to what had lead her to Jawan. With so many people, maybe she'd thought she could just slip in with the crowd. Maybe it was just to take a break, for whatever reason. Maybe it was to observe this city, which she had never seen. Or perhaps it was to try the seafood here, a dish she had tried before and that she had liked. She, herself, had no idea what had brought her to Jawan. It was unsettling to be exploring on her own. While she usually stayed home and did her business, she eventually realized that it was senseless to stay in your little shelter all the time. Being cramped into a house didn't bring you anything worthwhile, save maybe for leisure, which eventually tired her.

And so, perhaps this was the reason why she was here.

Considering this place was known for its warm temperature, she was wearing something simple: a thin white shirt with sleeves, adorned with small swirls and other such forms in red and black, and light blue pants. She was one who liked simplicity, but who also concerned about covering herself, hence why she was wearing autumn clothes in a city that could be qualified as a summer town. She gave looks to those dressed in things such as bikinis or shirts that almost literally exposed your whole chest area; shirtless men also got looks. Perhaps this would be something to keep in mind for future reference: keep away from warm, summer-like towns.

"Humph, shameless." A feminine voice, although clearly a bit authoritative. "I can't even understand how they can stand it." There seemed to be no one accompanying her, yet her voice would indicate otherwise. If one bothered to take a closer look, they could spot a small white rat sitting in what appeared to be a breast pocket. The rat was a young one, and appeared to be your simple pet rat, and not a Rattegan. Its little ears and nose twitched as it observed the new setting, and as it listened to its owner. "What do you think?" she asked the rat, looking down at it. The rat put its paws over its eyes and then dragged them down again for a reply. It did that multiple times, as if it were playing a game. "Peek-A-Boo tells me nothing, Axis," she replied to the rat, petting his head with a finger before looking straight ahead again.

There really seemed to be nothing interesting in this city. The beach sounded appealing, but considering it was a public place, it sounded disgusting. You had to literally strip down in public, with those swimming suits. As for the seafood, while she was intrigued, she didn't feel like dealing with people. She preferred silence and quiet over loud crowds, and at this time of the day, she would get the latter. She sighed irritably. "Not much of anything to see here, after all," she told the rat, which was still playing Peek-A-Boo with himself.

It was as she walked by this specific alleyway, however, that she felt something. Eyes, staring in her general direction. There was one thing — among a bunch of others — that she didn't like at all: staring. This feeling of someone looking at you and not letting go, this burning feeling. She looked around to find just what was staring at her, until eventually she spotted a pet there, sitting on a dumpster. A cat-looking creature, with strange markings, eyes of different colors, and also... wings, and two tails. She blinked and stared at that creature, clearly oblivious to what it was supposed to be. She had seen a few pets, but this one was one of those she hadn't seen. She had now stopped in her walk, just staring at that Kuhna with her hands in her pockets. She loved animals, so anything remotely close to looking like a pet was interesting to her. Perhaps there was something to see here, after all.

Bristlecape’s experiment continued much the same. Most skirted the circle; actually almost all skirted the circle. In about an hour, on this busy street, only 1 person would pass through the circle looking confused and a little frightened; nervous even. It was so few and far between that it was an anomaly; something worth noting. The trikuhna watched and mentally remembered these random passing’s wondering what it was that allowed them to pass through her spell. Perhaps they had some psychic ability?

At one point, after a girl of about six passed through the circle, running to catch up with her mother who had skirted around the chalk on the ground without even realising it, the trikuhna felt now was a good time for lunch. She stood, stretched and was about to go through the long process of strapping the book to her back when she felt... It was a strange feeling but she felt that something was going to happen. The book flopped back from her shoulder onto the black plastic before starting to slide down the natural slope of the dumpster. Sharp claws dug into the leather of the books’ cover and pulled the book close; an absent minded move pulled by Bristlecape as she settled down to watch the crowds again.
It was another 20 minutes before the albino showed up.

She had seen a lot of people that day, but this was the first albino. She seemed to be talking to herself and, as if Bristlecape wasn’t expecting it, she stepped into the spell. Nothing happened. No reaction whatsoever.
The fur along the ridge of her back stood up and her tails twitched nervously. Something about this girl and that feeling were tied together. Their eyes locked and Bristlecape hoped to Yepha that the girl would not be a near repeat of her last experimental excursion (she’d even avoided putting plants in this one!). This is what you get for even being near black magic, Bristlecape! Mentally she scolded herself while watching the girl who seemed unfazed by the magic around her. She seemed only interested in the caster of the magic.
Had the girl sensed the magic and who was connected to it? If she did, did she even know what she sensed? She appeared curious but in what way?

Bristlecape stood up, stretching her small wings as she prepared to run, and run from the potential trouble that lurked here. Her cover was blown, or so it seemed. Then she remembered the book and sat down, stubbornly watching the girl,  her twin tails twitched back and forth; Bristlecape’s attention never left the girl.

She hadn't seen the circle, nor had she felt anything out of the ordinary; save for that feeling of someone staring at her. She was too busy noticing all those things around her to bother with the ground; the ground barely ever changed, so it wasn't interesting to observe. From one town to the other, however, people changed, buildings changed, pets changed, everything changed. So she focused on the scenery around her rather than the ground. Once you've seen pavement, you've seen pavement.

There was a slight feeling of unease when the Trikuhna's fur bristled slightly. Well, it might just be a cat, but cats had claws, right? And teeth; sharp teeth. So if that Trikuhna had any intention to attack, well, that could be bad. From what the albino could tell, this Trikuhna seemed to be deep in thought. She had heard those special pets, those that looked like normal pets, but in fact weren't 'normal', as per the definition, were actually pretty smart. We weren't talking about little house pets who could barely think for themselves; this was about pets who could think for themselves and even communicate between each other. Maybe that Trikuhna was planning a way of attacking? Or maybe it was just surprised. It was hard to tell; she didn't have any of those strange pets back home, so she couldn't read them at all. This was like trying to understand a language you didn't speak.

When the Trikuhna stood up and stretched her wings, her reaction was to step back a little, certain that the Kuhna was ready to bounce at her. Sensing the sudden movement, the rat, Axis, froze for a second before slipping down into the pocket he was in. As for the albino, she was still staring at the Trikuhna; looking elsewhere when something gave you the feeling that it was about to attack would be the stupidest thing she could do. "Hey, wait, calm down." The words were now directed at the Trikuhna, and not at the rat. She believed those pets could understand human speech, at least to a certain extent. So if she talked to it? She did talk to her rat, so the concept of talking to an animal, not matter what it looked like, wasn't strange to her. "I, er. Don't want to hurt you." Is that what it wanted to hear? Hmr. "You're just... interesting." Eventually the Trikuhna sat back down, just staring. Of course, she didn't assume her words had anything to do with it; she couldn't read animals at all, so obviously assuming could be the worst thing to do here. "Are you a stray, or something? You... erm, look like a stray cat, anyway." Even though this quadruped clearly wasn't a 'cat', as per the definition of a cat. This creature, however, was interesting, and hopefully it would understand she wasn't staring at it with the intention of hurting it.

Well the girl didn’t seem to have any interest in hurting her so the trikuhna relaxed, shoulders slumping slightly and tails curling about her body.
“Ah, good well... Sorry to have made you nervous. You’re just... interesting as well. Though I don’t see why I would be interesting.” Bristlecape shrugged her furry shoulders. She was so use to kuhna and a plethora of other creatures all the time, really she wasn’t anything special. The girl, on the other hand, was different. She was albino, a very obvious and less than common difference, but she also had passed through her circle without being phased in the least.

People passed around Negative like she didn’t even exist, keeping out of the chalk circle. Nobody seemed to give her a moment’s notice, even though she was standing still in the middle of sidewalk traffic. Bristlecape watched the people move about in this way before returning her attention to the girl.
“You’re unaware of it, yet completely unaffected,” Bristlecape said, though the tone of her voice and the way her eyes had drifted downward and away from the girl suggested she was thinking aloud, “how strange...”
Her attention returned to the girl at the mention of her looking like a stray cat. The trikuhna’s mouth was open to show off her small white teeth in a sort of grin. It was a very human reaction.
“Thank you, Hun! Makes it easier for me to observe my experiment. If I was in my human form people would most likely stare at the strange girl in the pointed hat, which would ruin the experiment. It’s not rare to see a stray kuhna prowling the alleyways.” At this Bristlecape laughed, “The more animal like kuhna are baby making happy, I’d say, haha. Too many strays. As for me, I’m my own kuhna... or person. Heh. I do have a home. Far from here but still a home. I’m travelling. What about you?”

The coast seemed clear so the kuhna started moving about the dumpsters lid as she spoke. From under the book she pulled out what appeared to be a pile of strips of leather all tied together in a heap with buckles appearing in seemingly random intervals.
The kuhna worked the buckles with her mouth and paws with motions that were learned. They were awkward in their unnaturalness but fluid; as if she’d done this a hundred thousand times.

She had to be honest and say that she had never seen a talking animal. The only animals she'd ever met that had spoken the human language were gigantic lizards who were as big as buildings, if not bigger than that. One of them had chewed her, and obviously, after almost ending up as pet food, you remember the pet in particular. The chewing had left nasty scars on her side, which sometimes reopened and hurt. That, however, was a completely different story.

That was why she hadn't expected that Kuhna to talk back. The most she had expected was a few meows, a few cat sounds, but an actually understandable answer? She hadn't expected that at all. Her reaction was to blink and give the Trikuhna a surprised face. "You... can talk." It sounded more like a statement to herself than something she was saying to Bristlecape. "Ah, what? Er. I suppose." Interesting? Well, clearly, both thought the other was interesting, while in fact, neither thought she was interesting in any way. Negative was, however, an albino, which was, apparently, a rare coloration for a human. Pale skin, red eyes, white hair. A weird thing she had gotten in this world were those random people who would call her 'granny' because of the white hair. Those guys usually got a few nasty words, and then some butt-kicking. She was no professional when it came to physical fighting, but she had enough skills to kick the stupid little kids who thought they were so cool. When in fact they lacked more brainpower than a worm. "Oh, uh... I've just never seen a pet like you before." She didn't like the fact that she was so painfully ignorant, especially since she looked like a grown adult. By her philosophy, however, Negative preferred to mention her ignorance rather than faking knowledge.

She didn't give any attention to the people walking around her, nor those who stared or gave her weird looks. She didn't seem to care about the fact that she was just standing there, in the middle of the sidewalk during one of the busiest hours of the day. If people were unhappy about it, they could just go away and deal with it. She gave very little consideration for what people thought, unless she knew the people well. "What? Unaffected by what?" She gave the Trikuhna a face at that statement, confused. Unaware of what? What a strange Trikuhna. And what was so interesting about whatever Negative was unaffected by?

That grin from the Kuhna almost unsettled Negative, the way those small razor-sharp teeth glittered. The Kuhna, however, sounded friendly enough, so obviously the gesture was done in pure friendliness, and not with the afterthought of bouncing at her and ripping her skin off. She kinda liked that Trikuhna, seeing that grin. Maybe it helped that Bristlecape was an animal. "Experiment?" The word had a nasty meaning in Negative's mind, at least to some extent. This place, however, was far from looking like the place she came from. Experiment, here, probably had a very different meaning than the specific definition Negative had in mind. "What... kind of experiment?" She was a curious person, and asking for information wasn't something that made her uncomfortable.

"Human form?" So this Kuhna could... turn into a human? Which... was both surprising, and yet not. The one she lived with, who liked to claim they were 'sisters' — which wasn't true, by the way — had found a way to turn into that animal-like form. How it had happened, Negative had no idea, but the one she lived with could be both human and animal-like. Perhaps is was a side-effect from this place; she didn't know. From the sound of it, that specific pet was called a 'Kuhna'. It had the exact same form as the one her housemate could turn into. "So, wait... You're a... 'Kuhna', right?" She made a few steps forward to take a closer look at this 'Kuhna' pet, tilting her head to the side a little. "I've seen a pet that looks way similar to you, but the colors were different and it didn't have wings..." It sounded like she was both thinking out loud and talking to Bristlecape. The concept of one species having multiple sub-breeds didn't seem to click in Negative's mind.

She also tried to ignore the 'baby-making' comment. Eww. Baby-making; another thing, among many, that Negative couldn't stand. So some Kuhnas were more 'animal' than others, and clearly Bristlecape was one of those 'human-like' pets. "Uh?" What about her? While Negative liked to learn things about everyone and everything, she didn't like it when it concerned her specifically. She was doubtful by nature, and she always had the bad feeling any information she would give away would eventually be used against her. "Er, I live with someone, in a small shack... I just came here to explore the town." Keep it short and simple. She observed Bristlecape's movements as she replied, doing those human-like movements with the body she had. "What's that?" She pointed the book, along with the bunch of buckles Bristlecape was working on.

Tipping her head to the side Bristlecape was... Well she was amazed that the girl was so surprised. Without thinking the cat tipped her head back and laughed loudly; a subtle purr rolled through her laugh. For the moment she left her leather and book to the wayside and swiped the side of her paw at her face, as if to wipe away tears.
“Sorry, it’s not often you find a girl who hasn’t seen a talking animal now,” the way Bristlecape said animal hinted towards a verbal set of quotation marks; as if she wasn’t an animal, per se.
“And like me? Really? Kuhna are all over the place, hahaha...”

She watched the girl as she spoke and puzzled and thought; as she “hummed and hawed” as it were. She still seemed oblivious to the crowd that was currently oblivious to her. Automatically the crowd, skirted the circle of her spell which was written in white chalk on the sidewalk. Swirls and patterns completing a circle of power; not extreme power, it was a simple spell, but power all the same.
“Oh, sorry dear. I think the whole observational stage is done, at least for the day. If you want I could explain it to you in full. Basically, though, you’re standing in it, haha. It’s a spell, but don’t worry it’s not harmful or anything. I could explain it to you, if you’d like. And yes I’m a kuhwait! Eek!” her expression turned from a light happy smile to a panicked sort of shock as a man from the sidewalk bumped into Negative.

Taking those steps forward brought her out of the circle and the man, who had been strongly affected by the spell that had been surrounding Negative just moments before. When she suddenly stepped out of the circle he noticed her, but a little too late. He was a round fellow wearing a black business suit with heavy sweat stains under the pits. The blubber on his belly was keeping him a little too insulated in the sunny Jawan weather.

The girl with the white hair (white?) came seemingly out of nowhere. One moment he’s walking down the sidewalk away from the “executive to worker” meeting; some absolutely ridiculous idea some over paid social-something woman had said would be a good idea, good for morale. Then he was running into this woman in her young gorgeous years.
Down the center of his skull a row of sky blue feathers stood on end as he skirted around her, the fat mans bright blue eyes looking surprised. His mouth was small when he opened it to stutter out a sorry; fat cheeks only making the hole in his face look smaller and squished. He never managed the sorry as his mind tried to compute where she’d come from. She hadn’t even been in the crowd infront of him a moment ago. Where had she come from?

“Come out of the crowd, “Bristlecape gasped as she motioned the stranger towards her, “before you get run over. They couldn’t see you before!” this was not a great explanation but the crowd wasn’t exactly calm and with such a mess of cultures here in Jawan, most people had less then high standards when it came to manners.

She blinked at the mention of a spell, and that she was standing on it. She looked down at her feet to notice the circle there, right under her. Huh! She hadn't even seen that circle on the sidewalk. A spell, huh? Well... that was interesting. A spell in the sense of magic, right? Interesting! But then suddenly Bristlecape seemed panicked. "What?" That was all she could ask.

Needless to say she hadn't expected something like that to happen when she stepped out of that circle, which she hadn't even seen until it was too late. She didn't feel anything, nor did she see anything, so to Negative, her movements weren't restrained. When that guy bumped into her, she stumbled back a little from the impact. She wasn't very big nor tall, so any push was enough to send her stumbling back. Fortunately, though, she didn't fall, but she was left confused as she looked back up to see just what had happened.

She stared at that man that had bumped into her, the two of them seemingly just as equally confused. Well, the guy apologized, so obviously, the bump had only been intentional. No need to kick his face and lecture about how dirty and gross and self-centered and stupid and dirty men were. She gave him a face and a gesture to say that everything was okay, no problem. While she still hated contact with others, she had gotten used to it a little more, since it was pretty much unavoidable here, in this crowded world; cities were especially bad. That guy looked way weird with those feathers behind his head; but he wasn't rude, so it was all good. Forgiven. She was in a good mood.

She looked back at Bristlecape when she heard the Kuhna speak. Get out of the crowd? Speaking of which, they were seemingly more attentive to her presence now that she had moved. It was probably from that guy bumping into her, she figured; commotion brings people together. Nonetheless, she did as Bristlecape said, since she was right into the sidewalk rush hour. People had been avoiding the circle, but now that she wasn't in it anymore, well, people sure didn't avoid her. "Wait, what?" She gave the Trikuhna a face when she mentioned people couldn't see Negative before. What? "What are you talking about?"

The kuhna sighed and jumped down off the dumpster, leaving her book.
"I'll explain just... One moment, alright?" A quick glace up, towards the lid of the dumpster and where her book was left; the trikuhna looked nervous.
"And don't touch my book, alright? ... Seriously there's one thing that will turn me from nice to nasty..." the kuhna's tails twitched irritably, giving the other girl a look that was borderline dangerous before turning and walking down the dirty alleyway.
"Oh! I'll be right back. My kuhna to human transformation is... less convenient than others." the kuhna shrugged, "... And don't peek! I'm changing alright?" she looked over her shoulder at the girl, then towards where her book was before slipping behind the dumpster.

There was a mutter of words followed by something that sounded like somebody popping bubble wrap, or maybe snapping small, bones.
"Guh! This alley is cold without fur!" Squeaked the kuhna, "Where is my bra..? There we go! Okay one sec!" One skinny, clearly human, arm waved one finger to reiterate her request before going back to getting dressed.
“Ew! Gum on my hat... Gross...” Moments later (not really a second) a girl with short, bribrant orange hair stepped out from around the dumpster. She had the same dual eyes as the kuhna had had as well as the same tails which poked out of the back of her richly torn black jeans.
Her outfit was rather scruffy, jeans torn and showing that the kuhna had been around the block a few times. In her hands was the classic witch hat with a large wad of green gum stuck to the rim.
“Ugh, yuck! Sorry about that. When I transform from human to kuhna my clothes don’t, so when I turn BACK I’m naked. My first transformation? Talk about awkward, haha.” The girl laughed, her hands moving to rest on her hips (one hand held onto the hat, careful to keep the gum far from the rest of her outfit.
“My names Bristlecape,” the girl beamed, the name was pronounced more like bristleCAP, rather than cape, “sorry about all this. This is probably pretty weird for you and stuff. Erm... Eh... I guess I should explain but, haha, I don’t know where to start at all.”

As the girl spoke her attention turned from the girl to the dumpster, or more specifically to the book. The hat was set on top of the dumpster as the girl fiddled with the straps of the leather that held the book. She handled the leather book with love as she tightened the leather straps around it.
“So uh... Right... Maybe we shouldn’t talk in an alley. I dunno about you but that’s kinda’ creepy, right?” The girl laughed as she pulled the book up and strapped it onto her back, like a strange sort of back pack.
“Wanna’ go somewhere or... well away from here?”

While she might've sounded pushy, you couldn't really blame her. Not very often did you get a comment like, 'Get off the sidewalk, they couldn't see you a split second earlier'. It was bad enough Negative had to be ignorant about almost everything, she really didn't like it when something happened, and she couldn't understand. Obviously the only way to remedy this was to ask 'Why' or 'What', which she did. And then you had to wait, which wasn't one of her fortes, but fortunately the Kuhna was going to give her an explanation. That is, soon.

Negative stood by the alley, watching people walk on the sidewalk, some of them giving them weird looks, as if wondering what a girl would do there, just standing in an alleyway. Some of them got looks back, as if telling them, 'What are you looking at?'. She looked over her shoulder when the Kuhna jumped down the dumpster and then asked for Negative not to touch the book. "Uh, sure..." The Kuhna seemed pretty attached to the thing, and it was clear enough when Negative got that look from the cat. "O-okay fine, fine, I won't touch it," she added when she saw that look from Kuhna. And then the Kuhna headed off into the alley, saying she was going to come back in a short moment. Negative tilted her head curiously at the mention of a transformation. "Kuhna to... human?" And... no, she wouldn't take a peek. Not only did she hate being naked herself, she hated taking a peek when someone else was... er, maybe not transforming, but maybe changing...

And then suddenly there was this noise behind the dumpster, this nasty sound of popping and cracking bones, which made Negative shudder and blanch slightly. The sound reminded her of an experience of her own, back when she'd magically gone from the body of a ten-year-old to a nineteen-year-old. She wasn't interested in experiencing that kind of pain again, and she had to imagine how it was like for those pets to change forms like that. Could they all do it? But her daydream was short, as she heard the Kuhna — human? — mumble about being this place being cold without fur, and then looking for her bra. And then suddenly there came an arm, showing that, indeed, the Kuhna had turned into a human. How... special, to say the least.

Not long after that came the human-looking Kuhna, her eyes reflecting the cat's, and even the tails, the two of them trailing behind her. Negative blinked at this new character, feeling like this woman was a completely different person from the Kuhna. But this was a feeling from someone who had, literally, never seen this sort of transformation happen. "Your clothes... Ah." Well, that explained the need to hide behind that dumpster. "So does this sort of thing... work the same way for every pet... human... hybrid?" She made a face as she asked that, not even sure what she was supposed to call that previously-a-Kuhna lady now. The face was purely out of confusion, and not out of disgust from the actual transformation, how it worked, or Bristlecape.

She felt relieved, strangely enough, at the name. Bristle and cape were two English words, so Negative's name wouldn't be all that weird in this situation. "I'm... Negative," she introduced reluctantly, as if introducing herself wasn't something she did often. Which it wasn't. "No, well... A whole lot of things is strange to me. I don't know about a lot." Better to say it now than later, was Negative's philosophy with this. At least she was warning people in advance. And then Bristlecape was busying herself with the book again. What was in that book, so that she would be so attached to it? Clearly trying to touch the book would turn Bristlecape into something much worse than only nasty. "Ah, er." She looked around and, admittedly, this alley wasn't very appealing for a conversation of any sort. "Er, there's a beach nearby, there are probably some tables there... If not, er, what kind of destination do you have in mind? I... don't know the place every thoroughly." Well, might as well admit that right now, too.

Re: Powuh? Well That's ONE Way to Learn... (P is for Private!)

“What?” Bristlecape asked, looking around for, ah ha! She picked up a scrap of newspaper and used that to take the gum of her hat before setting it on her head, where it belonged; all better!
“No everybody does it different. For a lot it’s normal, some do a surgery if it’s not and then others use magic, like myself.” She said this proundly, touching the flat bit of chest between her misquito-bite-like breasts, fingers splayed and only the tips of her slim fingers touching.
“And I’m still a kuhna, a trikuhna to be exact. Just... you know, picking things up is hard as a kuhna. This world was built for humans, sad but true.” She shrugged, that was the reality of the situation.

The young woman beamed at being offered the others name, her fangs were still there which was now made obvious with her smiling. She offered a hand, “Pleasure to meetcha’ Negative! What a great name, I love it! Negative, haha.” She rolled it around in her mouth, “Names are powerful things. Don’t give them out too too lightly, I can tell you don’t. I am honoured to be trusted with it.”

She did a sort of awkward bow before continuing.
“The beach! Perfect~ We can walk and talk. I doubt anyone will be eaves dropping, not to say that I’m up to no good that is!” Bristlecape said quickly, walking around the girl and towards her spell on the side walk.
“One moment though. It’s not a good idea to leave spells open, they can cause trouble and such,” She said quickly, as if she was teaching Negative magic or something. She opened a small black bag on her person, pulling out a large handful  of... something. It looked like black ash.

Moving quickly Bristlecape moved about the circle, covering the white lines with smatterings of the black substance was chanting something to herself. Near the end of closing the circle she paused, looking perplexed before muttering a different string of seemingly nonsense and letting the rest of the ash in her hand go. Then another man, this time shirt and fat, bumped into her.
“Sorry~!” She called, turning back to negative, “Alright lets go!”
All smiles and happiness she didn’t seem to amazed or surprised by any of this magic stuff. The trikuhna simply hummed and smiled as she wiped the black smudge on her hand onto her shirt leaving a sooty smear.
