Hatsukoi couldn't help being a little bit envious. She would really want to live with some people from her family. ''You're lucky to live with them.'' She said. She looked down at her paws. She was looking kind of depressed. Her tails had stopped moving behind her.

"Not overly lucky. My sister always plays her music to loud, nad my father is always nagging. I recently got a break from both of them, but my sister Maia came back and I decided to leave. My father woul've stopped me, but he wasn't there." Apiko said, grooming his paw. All of the above was true, they were quite annoying, yet he could see her grief, so it was partly to comfort her.

She looked at him, and she understood what his life was for him. ''I see... So you don't really want to stay with them.'' She looked around her, and she noticed that Enkai was gone. It was only her and Apiko. She bagan licking her paw, trying to hide that she hated to be alone with a guy.

"Love isn't something I seek or plan on seeking. Family or otherwise. It's not the kind of person I want to be." Apiko stated. "I understand that is all both my family members are showing, yet I don't want it. Yet I think I am givnig in to it. See, I can't bear to tell my father that." Yes, he was indeed sucumbing to love.

Hatsukoi took some time before she stopped licking her paw, and notice thatt she didn't listen to what he had said. ''Sorry. I wasn't listening.'' Now she was embarrassed that she had been rude to him like that, and she hated herself for doing that. ''I really am sorry.'' she repeated.

"Nevermind. It wasn't that important." Even Apiko, with his small knowledge of emotion could see she was embarassed. It was even one of the emotions he understood the least. Was it like shame? It sounded nothing like shame... He was confusing himself.

Hatsukoi wasn't sure she should insisted on making him repated it, or if it would be better to stay silent. She looked at him, and her tail lashed to one side trying to shook away her embarassement. ''what do you do when you are at your house?'' She clearly wanted to change the subject.

"I read." Which was definately true. That was almost all Apiko did, read. He'd spend all his days in the library. One, his father wouldn't go in there because of Okoto. Two, books were his haven. He wished he was in a book.... Where you always succeed in the end..

Hatsukoi was looking at him as he talked. Reading... that she didn't have a library in her house, so it wasn't a place where she could go to spend her time. ''Do you have any other activities?'' She wanted to find something fun that she could do easily.

"Not much else." Apiko said. "I think I'm going to go. I feel like there's something I need to do." So he got up, bowed his head in respect for his 'aunt' and left.
