A little blue head bobbed up and down with the waves near the shore, a stick clutched in its mouth. The sky was overcast, and there was no one else on the beach today. Pup was still hopeful, though. Maybe a tourist would come out on the beach anyways? She momentarily ducked underwater, before popping her head back up again. She would wait.

A Dori slowly drifted through the water, an angry expression on its face. She was supposed to be a ruler, not some stinkin' loner! She flapped her tail angrily, looking around.  Nobody. That was just great. She trudged on, disgruntled. This was horrible.

Something moved in the corner of Pup's eye. Curious, she popped her head underwater, spinning around. In the distance, she spotted another Kuni. Yay, a friend! She called out playfully to it, swimming quickly in its direction. She kept the stick in her mouth, despite the fact that it slowed her down.

Stella watched as another Kuni materialized from the surface of the water, holding a long brown thing in its mouth. Lowly light blue Kunis, they were average, not royalty like her. She made a bit of a 'humph'ing noise, turning away and swimming off. If fish had noses, shewould have been holding hers in the air. She wasn't going to hang out with one of them.

Pup didn't understand. Had she done something wrong? A worried squeak issued from her mouth, and she swam even faster towards the Dori. Was the other Kuni okay?

The Dori looked over its 'shoulder' at the other Kuni's squeak. Well, she did need someone to rule over, and the other obviously cared, so they couldn't be that bad... "Grwul?" she questioned, her gaze locked on Pup, as she slowed down to let the other catch up to her. That didn't mean she was going to trust it right off the bat.

Pup slowed her swimming as she approached the other Kuni. She squealed in reply, waving her head fins in a friendly manner. The Kuni whistled a high-pitched squeak, asking to be friends. There was hope in her huge yellow eyes, though only another Kuni would be able to recognize it.

Stella confirmed with a squeak of her own, her whole body wriggling. She did a spin happily, bubbles floating around her. Someone to rule! Yes! No more lonerdom for her!

A friend! Pup let out a happy squeal, spinning around in a circle. Now there would be someone to play with her! She swam at Stella, bumping her playfully and squeaking once more.

Stella whined as the other Kuni bumped into her. Get it off! She wriggled away from Pup, grunting unhappily. She didn't want Kunis climbing all over her!

Pup backed away quickly at Stella's reaction. She didn't want to upset her new friend. She slowly rolled over on her back, observing the Dori from upside-down. The stick, now having no support, started drifting to the surface. "Mwerp?" she asked, giving her tail a playful flick.

Stella shook herself, keeping a wary eye on the Kuni now. At the invitation to play, she hesitated slightly. It would be alright. She agreed, and continued to watch Pup. Quick as a flash, she randomly darted at her, touching her with the tip of her tail before zooming off. She was in the lead!, and she planned to stay that way.

Pup was caught slightly off guard, but quickly caught up to what was going on. With a happy chirp, she sped after the Dori, bubbles streaming around her. So, it would be game of tag, hm? She remembered playing with the Kuni from the egg contest. This would be fun.

The stick, left abandoned, drifted up to the surface.

Stella glanced behind her to make sure she was being followed, before turning back around and swimming at full speed. The water rushed by her, pushing her fin back. Ha, there was no way the Kuni would beat her! Spotted a pile of boulder up ahead, she swam towards them, going out into deeper water.

Pup carefully followed Stella, turning at the same time she did. She loved the feel of water rushing past her, but she made sure to keep her focus on Stella. As she raced, she noticed a pile of rocks in the distance. So, that was where they were headed? She'd have to keep careful watch out there.
