Stella got closer to the rocks, a smirk appearing on her face. This would be perfect!Pup would have a hard time finding her here! She swam closer to the ground, kicking up a trail of sand. That should help.

Pup blinked as a cloud of sand blocked her vision. She swam upwards, clearing the cloud of dust. She looked down, trying to locate Stella. From up here, she noticed that the rocks were on a steep incline leading into deep water, but she didn't worry about that for now.

Stella darted behind the first rock she came to, weaving in and out among the boulders. She was too absorbed in the game to notice the difference in depth, as she continued swimming. She whistled, taunting Pup playfully. See if she could catch her now!

Pup caught sight of Stella, just in time to see her dart behind a rock. Pup soon followed, trying to keep up as they weaved in and out. at Stella's taunt, the Kuni turned in time to see her go behind a rock just ahead of her. She grinned, pursuing. The Dori would not escape her.

Stella noticed Pup closing in, and quickly darted behind a rock, doing a circle around it and continuing on in an attempt to confuse Pup. Who would expect that? The Dori grinned to herself. She decided to take a short rest and wait for Pup to show up.

Pup suddenly slowed as she lost track of Stella. Where was she? She drifted upwards slightly, to try to see better-

She shrieked as a large shape zoomed right past her, just barely missing. A Gorgeel! She swam as fast as she could, the monster following as she tried to get away. She unknowingly started leading it towards Stella.

Stella swam upwards at the shriek, curious. Her eyes widened as she saw the Gorgeel, and she dodged, just in time as it snapped at her tail. She squealed in fright, swimming off and almost bumping into Pup as she tried to get away.

Pup swam above the Gorgeel, and spotted it charging at Stella. No! She swam at it and hit it's back, trying to distract it. She didn't want her friend to get hurt.

Stella spun around as it's teeth snapped a few inches behind her. She watched as it caned it's head, trying to get Pup. She'd saved her! She swam under the Gorgeel's belly, slapping it with her tail to distract it once more before swimming up, trying to motion to Pup to follow her. Up was their only choice. If they could break the surface before it caught them, it would stop following and leave.

Pup dodged as the eel tried s snapping at her. She noticed Stella and quickly followed after, only a couple inches behind her friend. The Gorgeel followed them, winding through the water as it chased them. Fear coursed through Pup, but she knew she had to keep swimming. She had too.

Stella swam, bubbles swirling around her as well as Pup. She moved her fins frantically, feeling herself start to run out of energy. No, she couldn't, she couldn't, not at a time like this! She kept her speed, pushing herself to her limits.

Pup continued to swim up, all the while keeping an eye on the Gorgeel... BAM! She moved just in time as the Gorgeel's head jabbed up, level with the Dori and right where she had been a moment ago. She continued to swim up as the head lowered itself, preparing for another attack...

"Gweekk!!!" Stella squealed, as the predator snapped up right next to her, before lowering itself. She shrieked, even louder, swimming over and bumping into Pup as the same thing happened to her.Fear shined in her eyes, and she swam, somehow finding the strength to go even faster than before.

Pup became slightly disoriented when Stella bumped into her. She started to zig-zag through the water, still continuing up as fast as she could. The water was getting lighter... could she make it? She felt her body tiring, and knew she would have to slow soon...

Stella kept swimming, but she was starting to panic. She was slowing, she was slowing... and the Gorgeel didn't stop. She could see the surface of the water up ahead, and knew she had to keep trying. This was something she couldn't fail.
