Her opponent was foolish, but built to be a good fighter. Leona had knocked the breath out of Bellum in her procedure, although she hadn't knocked her over as she planned. Her head also left a nice sized cut on the Battleheart's chest. Oh well... at least it would be a good challenge now. Bellum began flapping her wings, blowing her sparring partner back a bit.

Leona clawed onto the grass at first, trying not to be blown away. Then she let go and blew back into the forest again. Leona ran through the forest to the opposite end of the island. She jumped in the water to wash off the mud. She dashed back in, hoping that the battle wasn't over.

Bellum just sat and watched as the Khimera ran around, washing herself off and returning to battle. "You fight well." She had to admit that. Now, to prove that even though Leona was good, she was better. In a series of rapid movements, Bellum thrashed her tail and front paws around her sparring partner before morphing into her human form. Moving fast, the woman grabbed the robotic feline's tail, shoving it into her mouth as mid-transformation bad into her Battleheart form. What now? Oh, yes... She shook her head violently before letting Leona drop, only to realize that she might injure her a bit too badly before catching her opponent in a paw and letting her down in a much safer way.

Leona felt her tail dislocate. She became angered... not a good thing for the battleheart. She stood facing her opponent  and roared as loud as she could, scaring away nearby animals and making trees sway.

Wow. Big roar, tiny feline. That couldn't be good... Examining her partner, Bellum realized that she must have somehow messed up Leona's tail, seeing  as it was hanging limply instead of attacking her. With a sigh, she bent over. "Hurry up and let me fix it so that we can get back to training." It wouldn't be any good if her opponent was injured. In  fact, it would just be unfair, seeing as the cat's main weapon seemed to be her tail.

Leona hissed as her metallic bones clicked into place once more. She had half a mind to whip the Battleheart in the face right now. No, she thought at herself. She was trying to become less angered as she eased her breathing.

Carefully, Bellum pinched the tail between two claws and popped it back into place. Well, that problem was solved. Now she just needed to wait for Leona to get comfortable again so that they could the fight. The Battleheart was already scheming about what her next move would be. She had several options, but all of them depended on what type of attack the Khimera used.

Leona twitched her tail and faced the Battleheart again. She sighed, and shut her eyes. All of a sudden, she turned tail and ran up a tree, only to use her gained momentum to hurl herself at the battleheart, letting her body go limp to sustain any injuries.

Coward. Although Bellum didn't blame her, that tail injury had look pai- oh shoot! Bellum didn't have time to block the attack, although she caught Leona before she could fall and run off. Without a second thought, the Khimera was tossed into the air, light reflecting off of different parts of her and making it hard for the Battleheart to see. That wouldn't be good if her opponent decided to attack in the next couple of minutes, but she was sure that she could make up for it in the long run.

In midair, Leona realized that this was her chance. She rotated her body into a human diving position and let the air slide past her and the sun keep shining her armor as she changed position at the last minute to use her healed tail to whap at the battleheart's back all the way down to the ground where she landed on all 4 feet, unharmed.

Feeling the metallic tail hitting her back, Bellum raised her own tail only a moment too soon, delayed by the pain. She then swept her tail around, an attempt to knock Leona over. The didn't go very well, seeing as she wasn't quite as good with her tail as her opponent was with hers. Time for plan B... she thought, shifting into her human form yet again. Although she hated it, it could be an advantage at times.

Leona watched the battleheart struggle. She was about to help, but then her opponet shifted into her human form. What the.. Leona thought as she stared at the human. Then she shrugged as she shuddered into her human form as well. "I hope I'm appealing," Leona muttered to her now human self.

That didn't go as planned. Bellum hadn't expected the Khimera to have a human form... Oh well. She could always try a human way of fighting... Running forward, the woman began throwing punches and kicks at her opponent in a way that looked pretty random. In reality, she had a very precise pattern to this. Now it was Leona's turn to figure it out and actually hit her.

Leona watched the human charge her. She laughed and ducked, rolled and came to the back of the battleheart. She delivered a nast boot-laced kick to the butt of her opponent and choked down laughter at the expression of the human as she was pushed forward.

Bellum faked a look of shock as she fell. She was made for things like this, and already had a plan. Turning a bit as she fell, the woman swept her feet around and knocked over her opponent. Not bothering with getting completely up, she pinned the other woman to ground for a few seconds before standing up. The pin should've been a warning, although the Khimera might end up taking it as a signal to fight like this was a wrestling match.
