A ways out of the town limits, you seem to see a huge structure of some kind, one that has endured years of damage.  Normally such things wouldn't be that uncommon, but the one little detail that seems to catch almost anyone's attention is the damaged Imperial flag that fluttered on the ground, just a few inches away from the dirt.  Deciding that such was worth investigating, you walk over.  After a closer inspection, you see that it used to be a grand base of some kind, stretching over a vast amount of land.  An ominous wind blows through the unstable place, and seems to be warning you to leave, to get away.  Then suddenly, a few feet away, you notice an odd Kuhna.  It seems to be the offspring off an Ancient breeding, but one that has never been seen before.  

If you are bold enough to approach him, he welcomes your warmly, and if you're observant enough, you might happen to see a dark twinkle in his eyes, as if he has already planned and seen your doom.  "Welcome one and all, to a contest like none before.  Those who are squeamish, who fear death, and cling to a plush at the slightest drop of blood should turn away now.  Those who think they can enter this ancient place, feel free."

At this statement, the wind blows, and it suddenly turns to a bitter cold, as if he was commanding even the elements themselves.  "There is a mere fee; one that even a newer resident to the lands could easily pay."  When you look at his sceptically, he sighs, and admits defeat.  "Fine, there is no fee.  But beware, entering in here can seal your fate, so be ready for anything."


He goes on to tell you that it has been rumored that many bloody battles during the Purine and Imperial war took place at the very site you stand on, and that the spirits of the brave warriors on both sides still wander the halls, seeking vengence on even a lowly unfortunate traveler seeking refuge there.  It has even been said that a few derranged strategists who went into hiding when one of the biggest Imperial raids were still hiding in there under the impression that the war was still going on.

- These pets are just randomly appearing, and what they have/ask you to do is also randomly determined by me.
- There is no post limit (A.K.A., you do not have to have so many posts to finish the game, although 5 is a must. Trust me, you will get 5 XD).
- Don’t worry, if you get stumped, I’m here to help. I won’t let your character be disqualified or anything; my characters are meant to stump you, not keep you from finishing completely.
- Prizes are determined by the judge.
- Prizes are determined by how well you do in the contest.
- You have 3 days to post; if 3 days has gone by, and you still have not taken your turn, you will be disqualified, and someone else will be allowed to join in your place.
- There is a posting order; please follow it. First person to post, goes first, etc, etc.
- The event doesn’t start until everyone arrives and I make a post saying, basically ‘GO!’

It was a rather ominous day to be exploring the ruins, as Rail was doing now. After examining the tattered Imperial flag, the kuhna looked up - to see that another kuhna had appeared out of nowhere. Some sort of dark colored Ancient, it seemed. And he was propositioning a contest. The Calamikuhna sauntered up as the other spoke. Overall its appearance seemed haughty, though if one paid close attention, the blue eye seemed to be calculating the spoken words while the red eye held defiance in its depths. It snorted as it listened. We're already IN the place, dodo. "I'll join your competiton." it interrupted, though there was something odd about the tone used for 'I'. Oddly enough, no gender could be gleamed from the voice, or from looking at the feline.

The wind picked up and the Ancient continued. At the admittance of the lack of a fee, the Calamikuhna rolled its eyes - wait, was it only the blue eye tha had rolled? - and the red tail flicked in annoyance. This time the voice was cooler, smoother, though the irritation was cleary present. "Can we please get on with this?"

Oh, this was just perfect...
On her day off, she of course had to stumble upon a strange old Imperial base.
Not only that, but also over a strange dark Kuhna, who apperently liked to tell horror storys.
"Jeah right...you cant even scare toddlers with that kind of story..." she said with a strangely ray voice.Jaz looked at the guy annoyed, and looked like she wanted to wander off again. However,
this strange building seemed to have a strange sort of fascination on her.  

She turned on her stubby peg legs again. "Okay Mr.Spookyguy, sign me in on that contest of yours..."She threw the wierd other Kuhna a fast glance, seemingly slightly irritated, and shifted her weight from one side to the other, obviously easily bored, now eying the contest holder in a challenging way.

"I think I heard something over here. Want to go check it out?"
'Temple' looked over at the larger, strange Kuhna. Even though he had been traveling with the Headless Kuhna for a little while now, he still was a bit thrown off whenever Randel talked. And the size of the kuhna, who was at least half a foot taller than the fellox. 'Temp' looked over at where Randel was looking, seeing a black and gray kuhna. It seemed to be of Elder breeding, but he could only guess, since there was no elders around the den. "Someone's over there."

Randel looked over at the kuhna, running towards him, wondering if he was a ghost. Although, Randel couldn't see ghosts that well, and he could clearly see this kuhna. He waited for 'Temp' who slowly followed him, looking around at the remains of the old battlefield. After he got there, they both turned to the kuhna, listening to his story. And his offering of a contest. The two pets looked at each other, wondering. "My fate is already sealed, so I do not mind." Randel smiled, then looked over at the kuhna. "And my job is to help deal with the dead, so I can't really be scared of them. Sign us up."

((OoC: I hope you don't mind me using two pets. They're going to stay together the whole time, (unless you decide to separate them sometime during the contest, which is fine as well) so they won't say 'You take that way, I'll take this way.'. I'll fix it if you only want one pet.))

The Trikuhna sauntered up, tails swishing behind her. She seemed almost distracted, looking away from the ancient while he spoke, until he reached the end, at which point she looked at him. "There is little that I believe could truly bother me," she commented. "Very well, then. I'll accept your challenge. You may refer to me as... Najwa."

Najwa looked around as she waited. She had an air of self-confidence about her, as well as an air of detachment: she seemed to not even be looking at, but analyzing the ruined structure, as if mere observation would unravel its secrets. If anyone were to look solely at her almost self-satisfied half-smirk, they'd think she was right.

Of course, whether or not she was right remained to be seen...

Fuyuki frowned. Why on earth was he here? After being kidnapped by pirates, you'd think a guy would avoid the ocean. Then again, Fuyuki avoided water period; the Thalassophobic Kuhna kept his distance from the sea-soaked life of a sailor, and yet here he was in Jawan. The sea city. Yup, odd, wasn't it? The small Magma Creeper on his shoulder clicked his disapproval. The fiery reptile was also captured by the very same pirates. All in all, the pair definitely looked like they'd be staying as far away as possible from the sea. "Shh, Forge," Fuyuki murmured, scratching the reptile behind its head. "I'm sure there's no pirates here," he said with a good-natured laugh. "We're just passing through here on the way home..." His voice trailed off as he spotted a large structure about a hundred feet away, with a small group of people gathered in front of it. "Huh. Wonder what that is," he muttered, narrowing his eyes. Forge growled and dug his claws into Fuyuki's shirt. "Ow! Hey, I'm just going to go look!" he exclaimed, flashing an annoyed glance at the Magma Creeper.

Walking fast, Fuyuki reached the group in a matter of minutes. He noticed the party of creatures were listening to an odd-looking Kuhna, who seemed to be talking about the structure they were standing before. Contest? Death, blood? Ancient place...? Bits of the Kuhna's words floated around Fuyuki's mind as he looked up at the structure. Forge clicked and wiggled with excitement. "What, you don't want to go in there, do you?" Fuyuki murmured to the reptile, raising an eyebrow. Forge bared his teeth in a reptilian grin and flicked his tongue. The Kuhna man sighed and shook his head slowly. At this rate, he'd never see his daughter again. Well, at least she was home safe; it was his job to get back to her. "No, Forge, we need to get ba--" He paused as the Ancient Kuhna started talking about the Imperial and Purine War. There could be spirits down there? "Still... I think Naomi would appreciate a good story," he murmured, staring at the ancient building, instinctively placing a hand on the hilt of his sword. "Alright, buddy, you win," he said, glancing sideways at Forge. "As if being captured by pirates wasn't enough..."
