Crashing through the streets, her shoes slapping against the tarmac, she turned quickly into an alley, her black jacket flapping behind her, her purple tie thrown messily across her shoulder. She skidded to a halt, feeling blood beginning to pour onto her lips, a large gash across the bridge of her nose. She spat out some of the blood, a blooded knife held in her own fist in a white-knuckle grip. she saw what she was holding and promptly dropped it, her blue eyes showing fear. She could hear the sounds of crashing feet behind her, and she ran deeper into the alleyway, ducking into another bricked branch that was out of view, and when she heard them crash past, she took a sigh of relief, slowly slipping to the floor, her usually pristine white shirt now splattered with blood.

slowly, she drew her pistol from it's holster on her waist, looking it over. It had delicate vines trailing up the right side of it's barrel, and it's mirrored twin was currently at home, sitting on her table. Slowly, she turned the weapon over in her hands, and she smiled weakly, placing it back in it's holster. "Bogail, they called me. Boss. What am I the boss of now?" She asked the bricks, her blue eyes watching the sky pass overhead. "The boss of gutter rats and mud. That's what." She spoke with a gentle sigh. She ran her hand through her short navy hair, pushing a few strands of it from her face.

Mitternacht sniffed the air and looked about in confusion. She did nto see any humans hurt so why did she smell blood. Leaping down from the roof of a building to the closed trash bins and then to the ground she began to search for the source of the scent. Suddenly her ears pricked up as she heard footsteps and she peered out from her allyway. Spoting some humans she sniffed and found the scent of blood about them. Scowling she ran after them stealthily and then skidded to a stop when the scent grew stronger down another alley.

Slinking down it carefully she followed the scent up to a corner and sniffed it looking around it she spotted a human women sitting in the dirt. Wrinkling her nose she crept closer to her and studied her body for wounds. Spotting the gash almost immediately on her nose Mitternacht scrunched her own nose up even more and padded up to the women. She was obviously hurt and more so seemed to be the victim of some fight judging by how those men had seemed to be after her. Meowing once to alert the human to her presence she went straight up to her and stared at her intently.

Crying out, and then biting down hard on her bottom lip, to silence herself, her eyes grew wide at the sight of the cat. It wasn't that she didn't like cats, it was more of that she didn't like being crept up on. Quickly she drew her weapon, and not moving from her spot in the dirt, the only thing she ruled over anymore, her eyes narrowed. "Tell me who you are and what you're doing here." It was very likely that she was aiming a weapon at a simple household pet, and may even kill a young child's pet, but even so, she had to ensure her own safety. "Answer me, damnit." She snarled viciously, blood pouring from the large wound in her face.

"Tch, calm down human. I came here to help you. Besides vhat could I possible do to you? Hmm? I am a cat obviously. Cats cannot kill humans. You are too big." Mitternacht snorted at the gun aimed at her. After all it wasn't like it was a threat to her. She'd just come back after since simple guns could nto kill her kind. "Now strighten up und stop pointing that thing at me. I cannot help you if you shoot me, ja?" She shook her head and padded closer. "Besides if you shoot me you vill make a loud noise, und then those men vill come back. I doubt you vant that."

Gail's eyes widened when the creature spoke, not only that, but it made some very valid points. "She's down here!" Gail's blue eyes snapped up, and she saw a man sprinting full pelt at her with a large knife in his hand, and in one smooth motion, her pistol rose and she pulled the trigger, and with a loud, ear-ringing bang, the man's head blew apart into grisly chunks. "Tell y'h what, Kitty. You run deeper into this alley, take a turn, I'll catch up with you." She stated simply, all the fear drained from her body, and all that was left was a cold fury, slowly standing with her gun still outstretched, hearing pounding feet echoing off the brick walls.

Mitetrnacht had not expected the men to find them so soon and hissed at them. While normally she would attack she had been asked by the human to run and the human was fighting other humans. It was not her place to insert herself into human quarrals. Help a human from bleeding to death, yes. Help the human with a fight with other humans, no. So she ran off and waited for the human women to follow. Now if the men attacked her, she would kill them in a heart beat. And if they did kill the women, well she'd make sure other humans found out and ensured justice in their own weird human way.

After another chorus of bangs, Gail slowly walked towards where Mitternacht had ran, lazily reloading her pistol and she replaced it in her holster. "I didn't want any more bloodshed, but they asked for it. I'm just lucky I brought a pistol to a knife-fight." She then glanced down at Mitternacht, wiping blood from around her mout, the wound still weeping blood. "Th' name's Bogail, or Gail. Who're you?" Gail asked with a slightly risen brow, leaning against the wall nonchalantly. She rose her hand and felt across the wound, hissing softly in pain and removing her hand, wiping the blood on her black slacks.

"Mitternacht. It is nice to meet you Gail." She looked up at the bleeding women and scowled slightly. "You should stop the bleeding soon, ja. How about ve go somevhere safer? I know a nice dock house to stay at." She padded away slightly and looked back at Gail to see if she would follow. "Vell? You coming?" Without another word she headed towards the docks.

Grunting, she stood. Walking after her, she paused after a few moments. "Why should I follow you?" She asked in a dark tone, her face to the floor, her hair shading most of her face, blood dripping onto the dirt as she shuffled her feet slightly. "As far as I know, you could be someone I wronged years ago, someone who is still out for revenge." She then slowly cast her blue eyes upwards, narrowing them. "Prove to me you're not." She hissed angrily, her lips pulling back from her teeth.

"How do you vant me to do that? Hmm?" Mitternacht sat down and thought for a moment about how to prove to this aparently paranoid human. "You know vhat? Fine. I vill prove to you, but if you shoot I swear I vill knock you out." With that Mitternacht backed up and looking around to make sure no other human could see her changed form into a human..ish creature. "There. Better? See I am not anyone you know, ja."

She cocked the gun, her blue eyes narrowing with mistrust. "Half of the people who want to kill me I don't know." She snarled, her finger squeezing the trigger. Her arm trembled, but she couldn't trust this woman, no matter how hard she tried. She had no need to trust this woman. Slowly, a smile began to spread across her face. "Say 'hey' to the devil for me." And with that, she fired the gun, aiming point-blank at Mitternacht.

Mitetrnacht nearly fell back from the blast but righted herself and scowled. "That hurt you know. It is also not very nice." Her chest began to swirl with shadows then heal quickly. "Now vhy vould you do that? I did nothing to you. Nothing at all." She walked closer to Gail and snatched the gun away from her. "Now behave human. I don't play games. Let's go."

When the gun was snatched from her hands, Gail felt powerless. Quickly scampering to her feet, she glanced around for something to defend herself with, and when she found nothing, she did the smartest thing she could think of. She turned tail and ran, her legs carrying her in great, loping strides. Her shoes weren't exactly the best thing to run in, as they had next to no grip, but they did their duty and carried her fairly swiftly as she skidded around a corner, only to halt, face-to-brick with a wall at least seven foot high. She groaned in defeat and glanced over her shoulder. Twenty-something years of being in a gang, climbing her way through the ranks and then organizing a forceful takeover, only to be killed by a cat with her own gun. It seemed sort of poetic, not that she actually wanted to die.

Mitternacht sighed and walked after the women. "Really? Vhy you run? I vant to help you silly human." She put down the gun and walked slowly up to her with her hands up. "See? No threat. Really Gail. If I vanted to hurt you, you vould be dead by now." She smiled as nicely as she could. "Now come on und lets get you fix up, ja?"

Her heart pounded hard in her chest, her blue eyes wide with fear. She didn't seem to have a choice but one. Charging towards her with her shoulders hunched, she dipped down quickly, grabbing the pistol and backpedaled, almost throwing herself off balance as she held the gun out before her, her hands trembling visibly more. "I don't need any help. I'll be fine, I just need to... I need to..." Her hands slowly lowered as her brow furrowed. She had no one left in the world. Her gang that she had built from the dust had abandoned her. She had no living relatives. She didn't even have a friend. Sliding the weapon back into it's holster, she stared at the floor, willing the tears to go away.
