"You don't even know who I am." She mumbled gently, softly stroking the pelt of Mitternacht, her fingers slowly tangling in the fur, and then softly raking them out once again. Her arm propping up her head as she stared blankly at the wall. "The long-and-short of it, is that if you come with me, there's a massive chance you'll be killed." She then looked back down at the cat laying beside her, wondering what her reply would be.

"Then fix it. Then I vill know you." Mitternacht purred softly and nuzzled against Gail's hand. "You don't have to vorry about me dying. I have lived for vell over a century. I doubt I vill die now." She yawned sleepily and lazed in Gail's lap. "I used be like you. i used to vant death, but in the end I kept going. Now I have things to live for. If you fight long enough others vill follow you."

"I have nothing to fight for." Gail sighed softly, moving onto her back, her blue eyes staring at the ceiling. "No friends, no family, nothing of worth." She slowly pulled the gun from it's holder, holding it above her. "The only thing I have, is this. The only thing that's stayed with me through all these years." She purred almost lovingly, running her fingers across it.

"Then go out und find something. Don't just sit around und vait for death! Live! Go enjoy yourself!" Mitternacht did not get it. This human still was young, to her at least, so why wasn't she out trying to find fun thinsg to do? Well finally she said oen positive thing. "Then hold onto it. Take care of it und find a purpose for it, then maybe you vill find a purpose for yourself."

"What, so I can kill more people?" She rose the pistol and shot, sending the bullet into the ceiling. "I don't deserve to live, you don't seem to understand that. For all the people I've killed, for all the things I've done, the kindest thing I can do now is die somewhere in a gutter. But no, my pride won't let me do that." She twirled the gun about, sighing as she tossed it away. "You make it seem so simple. 'Find something worth living for.' But it really isn't when you're a sinner like me." She turned onto her side, her back to Mitternacht, closing her eyes with a sigh.

Mitternacht sighed and rubbed herself against Gail's back. "Gail I have probably killed more people then you ever had. I eat my own kind. I doubt you are vorse than me." She meant it too. She was indeed terrible as no matter what she did she would still be considered "evil" by humans and non-human alike.

"Every time I close my eyes, I can see their faces, hear their screams, their pleas for mercy. I feel their blood running through my fingers. I can smell and taste the coppery tang in the air as their brains splattered on the wall behind them..." She silenced herself after a moment. "I watched one girl, barely turned eighteen. I lost count of how many guys raped her before I shot her in the head for crying too loud." Her body felt cold as tears pushed her eyes. "What am I meant to say to her father if I ever see him again? 'Sorry 'bout that whole business with your daughter, but she cried for you with her last breath before I sent a bullet into her skull.'" She snorted, her brow furrowing. "I don't deserve life." She mumbled, curling up into a tight ball.

Mitternacht no longer knew what to say, she had never seen a human so depressed before and was not the best at comforting people in the first place. She curled up against Gail and rubbed her head against her back in an attempt to comfort her. "Sometimes all ve can do is keep on going. Even if ve are not as gutt as ve vish ve vere. To die is to give in. How can anyone ever fix their mistakes if they are dead? Ve just have to keep on living, und maybe someday ve can learn to forgive ourselves, even if it is just a little bit." She wanted to cheer Gail up desperately now and hoped that somehow she could.

She gave a dark chuckle. "You say that like I wasn't the one who ordered them to rape her. Like I wasn't the one, dressed up as a postman who delivered her severed head to her father." She sighed softly, closing her eyes. "I can still see his face as he opened the parcel. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes and dropped the box. He fell to the floor, sobbing, and I leaned down and whispered in his ear. 'Don't mess with the boss.'" She shuddered lightly. "He was the chief of police. We never had any trouble after that." She fell silent, biting back the tears that threatened to spill over.

Mitternacht sighed and changed forms. She did not really want to do this but figured if kind words did not work then maybe harsh words and a little slap would help. "Oh just shut up! Enough sobbing like that!" She reared back and slapped her hard enough for it to sting, mangaing to hit the scars on her cheek. "Vhy are you acting like it is all over!? It is not! Stop crying! Be strong!" Mitternacht slapped her again for good measure. Hopefully this would work otherwise she would be all out of any ideas.

With shock painted across her face, her brow furrowed, and she sneered, slowly sitting up. "Don't you dare lay a hand on me again, you little bitch, or I swear, I'm going to break off your head and stuff it so far up your arse, you'll be smelling roses when I shit down your neck." With trembling shoulders and arms, she stood and shoved Mitt to a side, moving to the other side of the warehouse wanting to be as far away from the human-cat. as possible, ignoring her weeping wound across her face.

Mitternacht listened to Gail with a grin on her face and then laughed loudly. "Vell at least you are not crying anymore, ja?" She laughed again and came over to Gail once again. "Now let's get you fixed up. You vill need lots of stitches und who know vhat else." She tried to get close to Gail in hopes that she would let her take her somewhere to get looked at by a doctor.

With her hands balled into fists, and her arms above her head, Gail felt a shudder run through her, her laughter was like nourishment to her rage. She hated this woman. How dare this woman, this cat, laugh at her. Laugh directly in her face, and she was the leader of the god damned mob. "Stay the hell away from me, you little whore. Don't you dare touch me, or I swear..." Her voice trailed off into a low snarl, her body still trembling with rage.

Mitternacht sighed and rolled her eyes at Gail. She now deemed the human to be very much a drama queen queen. "Really now? A vhore? You are so uncreative." Well maybe at least she would forget about dying this way...

"Come on und get ready for the hospital. I can't have you dying here. It vill stink up the place."

Finally loosing her temper, Gail swung her arm around, aiming to connect with Mitt's jaw with a roar of pure fury. She swung her body forward, and her upper body twisted as she moved, bringing up her fist at an angle, not much caring how badly she would damage herself, or Mitt. The top buttons of her shirt were undone, leaving the collar to hang open slightly, her black leather belt worn and beginning to face, her slacks slightly torn at the knees and splattered in mud, her shoes splattered with mud and the soles worn.
