Mitternacht felt Gail's fist connect with her jaw and she moved with the punch then turned to look at her. She shook her head and popped her jaw back in place before grinning. "Very gutt little one no let me try!" She leaned forward quickly and grabbed Gail's face then without warning kissed her. She then leaned back and smiled softly at Gail hoping she would not be punched again.

With a blush crossing her scarred cheeks, she turned her head away, her brow furrowing angrily. "Why'd you do that?" She snarled, staring hard at the floor, as if it had done some great evil to her. "Why did you do that?!" She screamed, her arms trembling, holding back her tears.

Well at least she was punched by the irrate human. "Because you are beautiful, und because we all need love." Now whether what she said was true and if she loved this women or not was yet to be seen. She did think she was pretty though in her own unique way. In any other situation she would have been flirting with her but now she wanted to calm her down.

Rubbing her scarred cheek, not out of pain, as it was where Mitt had slapped her, but out of nervousness, she pushed past her. "Whatever." She grumbled, scooping up her discarded clothing and slipping it back on, re-doing her bloodstained and dirty tie and slipping on her black fitted jacket that was now torn and in near tatters. Scooping up her previously discarded weapon, she holstered it. "Don't come looking for me." She said simply, her voice a growl as she walked towards the doors.

"Vhy do you vant to run avay!? I vant to help you! Stop running! Running does not solve issue!" By now Mitternacht was getting pissed at Gail for her behavior. And just when she thought she had made progress too. She watched the women leave before changing form into shadows and began to follow her. She was not going to give up on the stubborn human, even if it may be better for her if she did so. She felt something for this human and she was going to find out what it was one way or another, but to do so she would have to stay with her.

Gail new this place well. She knew what she wanted to do. Walking through the dark alleys with her hands in her pockets, she came to a dumpster pressed against a short and stout building. Climbing onto the closed dumpster, she ignored the stabbing pains in her many untreated scars that didn't want to heal, looking up at the wall, she jumped and grabbed the edge, grunting with effort as she pulled herself up, her feet scrabbling at the brickwork and her hands clawing at the roof. Eventually, she pulled herself up with a gentle sigh, standing on the small building in a rather abandoned part of town, seating herself as she let the sun beat down on her aching shoulders.

Mitternacht carefully tailed the women through the dark alleys and made sure to not be seen. She worried about the women and what she may do. She watched as Gail climbed onto a roof and felt curious as to what she could possibly want up there. Quickly following she looked around and saw nothing of importance. The sun glared down at Mitternacht and she scowled internally as she went to hide within the shadows cast by the blazing celestial body. In truth she no longer knew what to do for the women or even if she could help her. She seemed so broken, so empty inside. Maybe it would be best to just give up on Gail and let her go, though something in Mitternacht refused to think like that.

Standing once again, Gail searched her pockets and found a slightly dented pack of cigarettes and a box mostly filled with broken matches, but she eventually found a usable one. Placing a badly bent cigarette in the corner of her mouth, she struck the match and lit up the cigarette, placing her hands in her pockets, leaning back while moving her hips slightly forward to counterbalance herself, she took a slow drag on it and puffed the smoke out from the other corner of her mouth, her eyes half-lidded and lazy behind the aviators.
What she would give for a beer right now.

Mitternacht continued to watch her silently unsure of what to do now that Gail seemed to be calming down. She doubted she would be very happy to know that she had been followed. She stared at the women curiously wondering what she was thinking about. She curled up into the shadows more and yawned silently. Maybe she should go talk to her.

After smoking her cigarette down to a stub, she dropped it and stomped on it with her toe, letting out the lungful of smoke, she tilted her head back and closed her eyes, feeling the soft breeze brush across her throat. The wind seemed to grow in power as it flared out her jacket behind her, catching her tie and throwing it over her shoulder. Sighing lightly she turned back towards the dumpster and slowly climbed down, her feet touching the solid concrete of the ground and she began walking. She didn't really care where she went at this point. She would just walk until her legs gave out.

Mitternacht followed the woman and changed into her human form. She was determined to watch out for her now and get to know her. She walked silently behind her and wondered if she even knew where she was going. With this women it was hard to tell exactly what she was thinking. Hopefully soon she would find out and that she would be far more accepting of her offered help. She really didn't want to force the women to let her help her.

Taking in a deep breath of the stagnant air, she breathed it out slowly, her rotten lungs wheezing slightly and her damaged liver aching. She pushed her shades further up her nose and straightened her suit and tie, walking to her apartment to catch some bad TV and a bad night's sleep on her mattress, maybe even get a shower if she felt up to it in the morning. Rubbing the white gauze on her nose, she winced at the pain. This was really going to leave a scar.

Mitternacht continued to follow her as she arrived at the apartment. She was not going to hide from the stubborn women anymore. She stepped in front of Gail and narrowed her eyes at her. "Go to the hospital or at least come vith me to mine doctor. He can help you und vill not charge money. If you refuse I vill knock you out und drag you there. I am not letting you die of a damaged liver."

"Been to the hospital, they can't do anything. I'm not viable for a donor and no tablets will help." She shrugged slightly and pushed past the woman, opening her apartment door. Giving a soft sigh, she hung her head, wondering what was wrong with her as she turned. "Do you wanna come in for a beer or somethin'? You came all this way after all." Stepping in, she left the door open for the woman, kneeling in front of the small fridge and grabbing two bottles of the cheap beer, opening them both and offering one of the bottles to Mitt.

Mitternacht stared at the out stretched bottle before stepping in and taking it. She sniffed it curiously and looked up at Gail. Seeing her drink it Mitternacht lifted her own bottle and sniffed it. She wrinkled her nose, but to avoid being impolite she took a sip. "It is...interesting. This beer I mean. I have never had any before."
