Taboo nearly fogged up the Plexiglas to his helmet when told that he was free to go. The vampire's wrath was, for now, at bay and he could get out of here. Of course the rather foreboding request to see him after dark didn't set well...but it was better than letting a blood witch and two vampires feast on him. "Y-yes! Of course. We will speak later....enjoy your afternoon together."

He backed away a good ways before turning and speed-walking towards the wharf and the shops. He just wanted to be back in his cozy, safe lab again. He knew he shouldn't have listened to that demon and her provoking words!

Spardia's sharp eyes didn't miss the hasty retreat of the scientist, but she let it go without a fuss for now. If Tremere felt it safe to leave him go, then it was safe. The one thing in the world she did trust was the man's love and adoration for their children and no matter what side games he might have playing out he wouldn't compromise them. She refocused on Malkov, her dearest one, and gave a gentle (for Spardia, at least) smile.

"Oh brother, he has wronged you so. But you aren't me and vengeance just isn't a good fit for you. Perhaps speak with him, then you will always know that you gave it a try and can't feel badly if things end up not working out." Oh, but she hated Dejar. What sort of man would wrong her brother so? Leave him broken and lonely without proper explanation? He had best sweep her brother off his feet at their next meeting with apologies aplenty of his blood would be her next practicing partner.

Hexia frowned, looking back and forth between her mother and uncle. "Uncle Malkov, ice cream makes everyone feel better. You should go and have some ice cream!"

Spardia smiled down at her daughter and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Ice cream can fix a great many things, little love, but I think Uncle Malkov needs something more."

Hexia pondered this for a moment, mimicking other adults she had seen by resting one arm on top of the other and placing a single hand under her chin thoughtfully. When she seemed to have found the answer she brightened and stared up at her uncle very seriously."...Do you need some cake too, Uncle Malkov?"
"I have been hidden, scorned, adored, worshiped, forsaken, coveted and banished more times than I care to count. But the one thing all those experiences cannot steal from me is the gentle soul I was born with, the kind heart I have molded, and the bright ideals for the future that have lit my way through the darkness of the past."

Re: [P] Family At The Beach [Spardia/Tremere/pups]

If there was ever a safe bet, it was Tremere's loyalty to his pups. To an extent, to Spardia as well. She was a means to an end to him, a partner in something bigger. They certainly needed one another, and he couldn't lose her. Not when the end goal was within his grasp, a taste of the power he could have. He kept to himself for now, kneeling in the sand with his pups, just listening to the conversation.

Mal gave an almost sad smile to his sister, softly petting the top of Hexia's head. "We will talk, certainly. I hope to patch things with him." He did love the man, and even Spardia could see that. He quieted the voices in his mind, kept him safe. "However, perhaps you're on to something there. A good meal fixes a great many things." He leveled with his niece, softly stroking her cheek. "How about we have lunch together, and then ice cream?"

Eden seemed content being quiet beside her sister, though she seemed to agree that they needed lunch. "Food always makes everyone less cranky."

Removing himself from his mother's grasp for a moment Atticus went to Tremere, his father opening up his arms and gently picking him up, swaying slightly to soothe his son. He knew that he and Spardia sometimes babied the boy... But they couldn't help it. He always seemed so left out, his sisters banding together. "That sounds like a plan, doesn't it? I got us a table at that little place on the pier, private-like." So he and Malkov could have a taste of blood, without drawing any attention.

Hexia giggled as Malkov stroked her cheek, pulling away softly and placing both of her small hands on her Uncle's larger one. "Hey, that tickled!" She giggled and tried to playfully tickle at his wrist in return before squealing and running to her mother as a 'safe zone'. Hugging  "Safe! Can't tickle me any more, Uncle Malkov!"

Spardia released her son back to his father, a careful eye watching exactly where he went. She knew none would dare swoop in and try to snatch one of her children, but with power came enemies and one could never be too careful. Seeing Tremere scoop him up brought her to relax again and she smiled kindly at her brother. "And what a talk it shall be, I am sure. But he has returned, take solstice in that my dear brother. But yes, for now let's have a proper meal. Tremere...would you like me to bring in the main course while you and my brother see to the children?"

It was so much like their first 'date', Spardia absolutely delighted in being the lure that drew victims to their doom for Tremere. And she dared to say Malkov had yet to fully witness her powers; the children could all use some practice or a drink as well.
