Content with yet another find, Kasumi decideded that the sungasses were worth buying.  And when she turned the price tag over to read the price was only fifteen keystones, she was definitely sure of the purchase.  As she headed up to the checkout counter, she noticed that Anita had taken a pair of white-rimmed glasses to try on.  And the contrast against her black hair was quite nice.

"Looks like you found a keeper." she commented as she passed the woman, winking.

[Remedy]

Anita smiled and blushed lightly at the other woman's comment.  
"Yeah, I agree!" She said happily, taking them off and checking the price tag.  To her luck and surprise, they were on sale.  Anita looked over at the checkout line, noting that it wasn't very long.  Even so, she did a quick sweep around the store to check for any eggs before approaching the check-out counter just after Kasumi had finished.  
The purchase didn't take long and within the next minute she was ready to go.  With a smile, Anita looked at Kasumi and asked, "So what did you end up getting?"

Kasumi's eyebrow rose a bit when she noticed a slight blush on Anita's cheeks, but she didn't comment.  Apparently, shopping wasn't the other woman's everyday activity.  Not to say it was Kasumi's favorite thing, but when she did go out, she didn't mind.

Luckily, she was finished at the same time Anita was, and she put her glasses on her head, allowing them to just rest there for the time being as they held back her blond bangs.  "You like them?" she asked as they exited the store.  Beside them was a sea-shell store, and already Kasumi could see the possible hiding places for different eggs.

[Remedy]

Anita smiled and nodded approvingly of Kasumi's new glasses.  "They look great!" She said enthusiastically.  She decided to put on her own sunglasses as well, so she could just push them up on top of her head when they entered the next store.  
She raised her eyebrows with amusement when they entered the seashell store.  It seemed somewhat strange to her to have a shop selling shells when tourists could likely find them easily on the nearby beach...  But then again, she didn't have much experience with shell-hunting.  After looking at some of the beautiful, large shells on display, she realized that these were likely more difficult to find than what could be expected.

Kasumi just smiled as Anita slipped her own sunglasses on.  They really did go well with her hair, though she would only have them on for a couple seconds.  Opening the door, the salty smell of the beach hit her, though not nearly as hard as it did when she actually got down toward the shores.  In fact, it was rather pleasant.  A bit redundant to be selling those little butterfly clams or sanddollars when it really wasn't that hard to find them on the beaches, but as she looked farther back, the more rare - not to mention more expensive - shells came into view.  And those, of course, were what real collectors loved.

She walked a little ways back, and picked up a rather large conch, touching the pointed end experimentally. "I remember when I nearly stabbed my foot on one of these horrid things at the beach.  Never have liked them after that, though they are rather pretty." she commented, setting it back down on the shelf.

[Remedy]

Anita raised an eyebrow at Kasumi's comment and attempted to push the mental image of the injured woman out of her mind.  Although she'd seen plenty of far worse sights while she was training to become a medical professional, it was never quite something she could get used to.  Hence why she went into research instead of hands-on work.

She walked over to a lidless wooden crate resting against the wall and peered inside.  Above it was a sign that read: "Shell Necklaces - 1 Keystone".  They looked about as cheap as they were, and there were tons of them.  She was about to move on when she caught a glimpse of a light brown, half submerged egg in the mess of string and sea shells.  She placed it in her basket and scanned the crate carefully once more before continuing.

"Huh, this is kinda heavy..." Kasumi muttered as she lifted up a much less pointy conch.  It was a pretty big shell for its kind, and she shook it experimentally.  There was a soft sort of hit against the inner walls of the shell, and she moved it around, trying to figure out the best way to shake whatever was inside toward the opening.  And, low and behold, a tiny orange egg came rolling out after a couple of slightly frustrating minutes.

Slipping that into her bag, she moved toward the back wall of the store, looking around at the jewelry made from the various shells.  Some were obviously cheap, but others were actually quite cute.  A choker made with bright gold beads and pale cowry shells alternating with each other caught her eye immediately, and for the price of ten keystones, she didn't mind taking it up to the checkout counter.

[Remedy]

It didn't take long for Anita to finish exploring the store.  Despite all the various, colorful shells lying around, none particularly caught her interest.  She did take the time to stop and check for eggs around them, but only found one more.  This time it was a dull gold color with neon green speckles.  

Walking back over to Kasumi, she realized the other woman was checking something out.  Anita leaned against the wall by the door as she waited for her to finish.

"Thanks!  Have a great day!" Kasumi said as she took her necklace and left the counter.  She found Anita waiting for her, and apologized.  "I didn't think that checking out would be more than a couple of minutes.  Hope you weren't waiting long."

She allowed the small choker to dangle from her fingers for a moment before trying to put it on herself.  However, that really didn't work as well as she would have liked.  Turning to Anita, she smiled sheepishly and asked, "Do you think you might be able to help me put this on?"

[Remedy]

"Don't worry about it!  I wasn't waiting long at all," Anita said in an attempt to reassure the other woman.  She watched as the other woman tried to put on her necklace, and thought about offering to help before deciding to wait and see if Kasumi could get it herself.  When her assistance was actually requested, she happily agreed.  Taking the necklace from Kasumi's hands, she moved behind the other woman and hooked the choker on with ease.  Of course, it was much easier when doing it for another person.

"There you go!" Anita said with a smile as she took a step back, admiring the way the necklace looked on Kasumi.

"Thanks!" Kasumi said as she allowed her hair to fall back down over her shoulders. Shaking it out once, she looked over to find Anita smiling, and took that as a sign that it looked as good as she hoped it would.

Unless Anita was in the mood for some food, they still had sometime left to look around.  The next shop was actually a children's toy store, and despite her initial thoughts concerning the chances of finding an egg in such a frequented place, she could clearly see two twin eggs sitting in a window display.  "Hey, if you want, we could go on to that toy store before grabbing something to eat.  Or we could keep going after that one, cause my favorite clothing store is a little ways down.  And there's a great sea food place near that to.  But it's all up to you, of course."

[Remedy]

"I'm not all that hungry at the moment, but if you are then I'm happy to stop somewhere.  If not, I don't see any harm in continuing," Anita said as they exited the shell shop.  Although she didn't work directly with children, Anita's coworker, Ayden, had one young patient that he was particularly interested in studying.  Perhaps she might find something in the toy store that he could gift to the young girl.  As she recalled, he also had a few kids of his own- but they were nearing their late teens already.  
"I'm sure we'll find a lot of eggs in there, as long as some kids haven't picked them up first." She commented, entering the next store.

"Oh no, I'm fine for now.  Just let me know when you'd like to go grab a bite."  Heading into the toy store, Kasumi went straight for the two eggs she had originally seen.  She was careful not to knock down the display of toys and play sets in the process, and in the end, she was successful. Taking the two eggs, she allowed one to drop into her bag, then held the other one out for Anita.  "They look exactly the same, like they were meant to split between two people.  So you should take this one." She said, smiling with a slight blush on her face.  

While she wasn't completely unfamiliar with the concept of just being nice, especially toward another woman, it did appear that she was able to at least try.  Though with a tad bit more embarrassment than she would have preferred. It was just that being so nice around someone who she knew wouldn't laugh or make fun of her for it was a new concept.  And it was a bit comforting when she thought about it.

[Remedy]

Anita was surprised that Kasumi was offering her a matching egg.  Taking in graciously, she blushed as well and smiled.  "Oh, thank you!  Huh... It's pretty interesting that they hid a matching pair," she commented, examining the egg and gently placing it in her own basket.  

She tried to play off both of their obvious embarrassment by changing the subject. "This store's a lot smaller than it looked from the outside- or maybe it's just because there's so many toys that it's hard to tell."  It was true: the walls were covered with shelves full of boxes and boxes of toys, and piles of stuffed animals could be found in some bins beneath them.

Silently thanking Anita for sensing a need for a change if subject, Kasumi nodded, examining the shop as a whole now that she was inside.  And it was much smaller than she had expected.  Not that it was to small, she had just thought it to be bigger when looking at it from the outside.  Of course, that would make it easier to look for eggs.

"I'm going to poke around in these bins for any eggs hidden in them. We shouldn't have to spend to long here though, so we can probably just take it slow and head onto the clothing shop after this.  Maybe grab a bite to eat after the event is over and we have to turn in what we've managed to find."
