When You Loose Something... {Private; Mousen and I}

Sure it was kind of a stupid thing to loose. I mean, who looses their ID's? No it normally wouldn't be a problem, if you were a normal human being and the rules around such things as vampires hadn't changed so drastically in the upcoming years. In all honesty, Chiya could've very well gone and found someone to make her a new ID for probably less trouble, but she didn't have that time. What was worse, that it wasn't only just her ID, someone had broken into her shop the night before last and hand taken some rather expensive and very exclusive fabric. She was not pleased with that fact.

Normally, the loss of an ID wouldn't be too much of a problem, considering how much of a regular Chiya is at the local bar, but with the change of management and a sudden crack down on rules, she was loosing her supply of blood and her two resources for her blood both required an ID. So, she was in a bit of a pickle and that is why she traveled from Aldrect out here to the little coastal town. It was a long trip that required a lot of blood and she was running low. This is what happens when a vampire is too busy with work and ends up not keeping her supply up and running.

Chiya stood in front of a little house that was in the cliff face. It was rather rocky and some would even say it was less pretty, but Chiya wouldn't. She pulled her dark veil that covered her hair and her face down a bit. She adjusted the black gloves on her hands before curling her hands into a fist and knocking on the door three times. She adjusted her blue knitted shirt and her skirt. She was mostly a black cloud in the summer heat of the day. It was a bit ridiculous, but she needed to mostly protect herself from the sun. It wouldn't kill her or anything, but it would do more damage than normal due to the rations she had to place on her blood supply.

She waited for the door to open.

Late morning, already the heat was starting to become uncomfortable. This part of the coast was usually cooler in the summer and more prone to storms. The grey stones and the slimy, seaweed-filled rockpools all gave the impression of cold, rainy summers and a place that rarely saw the clouds disappear. It was desolate, but striking.

The small windows of the cottage had been all thrown open, and from inside there was the sound of chattering voices. This was The House Under The Hill, an old structure, built into the rock. It might have been a fisherman's cottage originally, or just the house of someone who disliked company.

"For god's sake, Chester! Don't you think that your stupid cooking is less important than my spell?"

"No, I don't think that at all." The voice huffed back. "I'm cooking lunch and if you'd just put your spell aside for a few moments-"

"--Shepard's pie is not as important as this, I'm busy!"

"If you feel that way then feel free not to eat any of it once it's finished." That seemed to quieten the first voice.

When Chiya knocked on the door, there was a moment of fumbling as both parties rushed forward to answer it. Alice, being the taller and more redetermine of the two, opened the door and smiled. "Hello. How may I help you?" She was a tall woman, just under six foot, with dyed red hair tied up with a polka-dot kerchief.

((LOOK WHAT I'M REPLYING TO HOLY CRAP MAN))

It took a while for anyone to answer the door, and Chiya heard some bickering coming form inside the house, and she couldn't help but laugh as she tossed her dark brown curly hair over her shoulder with a small smile playing on her face. When the girl of the two came to the door, Chiya straightened herself, being only a bit shorter than the one before her. She was only about five foot six.

"Ah yes! Hello! My name is Chiya. I've heard you guys have a talent in finding some things? I've lost two things that are very dear to me and I'd love to hire you to help me find them and get them back." Chiya said with a smile on her face. She took a once over of what she could see in the house from around the girl and her smile softened a little bit. You can only smile so much.

((whoops it's really short oh well))
This is gospel for the fallen ones,
Locked away in permanent slumber,
Assembling their philosophies,
From pieces of broken memories.
~
If you love me let me go,
If you love me let me go,
Cause these words are knives that often leave scars.
The fear of falling apart,
And truth be told, I never was yours.
The fear, the fear of falling apart.

~This is Gospel- Panic! at the Disco~

"Come in, nice to meet you Chiya." Alice replied warmly, ushering Chiya inside the house. She paid no mind to her guest's slightly eccentric appearance, she'd clearly had stranger people walk through the door. Hell, she lived with some of them. "I'm Alice, finding people's things is my job, so I'm sure I can sort something out."

In the mean time, Chester had started peeling potatoes. In this heat, his usual heavy black coat had been abandoned and was instead in a white button-down shirt and waistcoat. He was a tiny man, barely five foot in height with a white mask that obscured the top half of his face, and a black cotton bandanna that covered the rest.

"Chester. Out. I have a client."

"No."

"What do you mean no? Out. Shoo. Begone."

"It's not like I'm in your way, dear cousin of mine."

Alice rolled her eyes and gestured to the large and old-fashioned kitchen table. "Sit down, make yourself at home. Ignore my cousin, he's... Well."
