The new club in Jawan had nothing to do with surfing, although they did get their fair share of surfers in the door. It was set up on top of a cliff, overlooking the vast sea from one gigantic bay window. It had been off-and-on under construction for about two-ish years, but now it had finally opened its doors. This was Rocket, and it was explosive on the scene just like its name.
Even this late, the music was pulsing from the building like a heartbeat. Some club-mix. Of course, one of the reasons it was built so far up on the cliff was to afford the people in the town below some peace. The music didn't reach there. But once one drew to within about half-a-mile away from the new building, the lights, the music, and the ambiance was pretty clear.
Once past the vast doorway, where the huge doors were inset with stained glass, there was a short hallway with a counter, empty for the moment. A sign set up on to top read: HIRING: INQUIRE WITHIN. Further on, the space expanded into a massive dance-hall, where an impressive array of lights were already flashing around the floor. A rainbow-haired DJ was set up near to the front, one earpiece from a set of bright pink headphones held to his ear, and bobbing his head in time to the music while he played with the dials on his box.
A short way away from him, two others were watching the nearly-empty dancefloor. One of them was standing up, arms crossed, leaned back against a wall on a sort of 'extension' that led to a dining-area of sorts. He had a severe sort of expression, and his stark-yellow eyes flicked here and there. As he stood there, he occasionally flicked his long golden hair behind his shoulder, or pushed it behind his ear. Despite the fact that he looked so serious, his foot was tapping to the music.
The other was lounging on a round couch on that same extension, a red drink in his hand. His hair was cut seriously short, and dyed rainbow - a lot like the DJ's. His bright red eyes were passive, but he did have a bit of a smirk on his face as he drank.
Both of them seemed to be waiting for something. Or maybe even someone.
The yellow-eyed man was the first one to speak.
"Arete, are you sure this was such a good idea?""Patience." the red-eyed one said quietly.
"People have to realize we're here first. We've already got a few dancers, so that's good." he took a long sip of the red liquid, and smirked again.
"You were so patient when we were setting up, my friend. Where has that patience gone?"With a snort, the yellow-eyed man crossed to the counter of a bar set into start of the club's dining area.
"I would be more patient if we had more customers." "Just give it time." Arete said, swirling the red liquid around again.
