{Dr. Jackson Cross - Human form}
Jackson sighed and pushed some of his newly-cut hair behind his ear as he strolled down the path along the boardwalk, taking in the sights and sounds of seaside life. There were vendors all over the place, artists, street performers... People walking or jogging, and a lot of kids. Granted, there were a lot of kids at most parts of the seaside, but especially here on the boardwalk. His gaze traveled across the bustle to the sea beyond, and he paused in his traversing the path to walk over to one of the retaining walls and look over the crashing waves.
There was a sense of peace that came from spending the day away from work, and he let it wash over him like the salty sea air and the gentle breeze from the water. As he relaxed, he let his mind wander and his eyes close. There wasn't much that he wanted to do right now - other than being out of that ER, and out of ambulances for the time being. EMT work was rewarding, and it earned a high place in his book of things that mattered. Even so, it was weary work. His feet ached more from running around trying to save lives, than they'd ever ached from long walks, or taking a jog. Medical professionals had it rough. EMTs had it far rougher in his opinion.
