Several weeks after starting his job at Third Eye, one of the most sought after music labels in Evelon, Calahan Zeek (Cal to his friends) was finally working on his own and even settling into a routine. On his desk was a pile of magazines; one of his menial tasks being to refresh the selection for those unlucky enough to be left cooling their heels in the lobby. Overall it was an easy job, the otherwise boring tasks enlivened by the people around him- coworkers and clients alike.

A ding from the computer's speaker and a flashing box in his taskbar alerted him to a calendar reminder and he switched over to it. It was shorthand that Amp and his crew were coming in for a meeting in half an hour. He sat back and stared at notification, twisting a lock of hair idly. Half and hour was too long of a time to get the coffee brewing and their agent preferred to control everything herself. Sure enough, when he pulled up a spreadsheet, he saw a conference room upstairs had already been booked for them. With nothing else to do to prepare for them, he turned back to his task of replying to a client's email.

Although there was definite interest in one member of the party, Cal was also positive Alexander Fisher was off limits. They were well past their first awkward encounters and, true to his word, Cal had been nothing but professional around him since they'd discovered they were client and receptionist. When the group arrived, he smiled and waved them to continue upstairs, "She's in conference four." At sight of Fisher, Cal felt a now familiar but still strange feeling that he couldn't name and couldn't pursue, though he gave an encouraging smile as if to say maybe they'll let you in this time.

Of course, he wasn't surprised when Fisher returned to the lobby mere moments later. By this time he was on the phone with another client and pulling up information on his computer, but he was still aware in his peripheral that the man was back and had gone to flop onto one of the couches. Whe he was finally able to hang up, he left his desk to check up on him. "Mr Fisher?" he said gently, hoping not to startle him. He stopped when he came around the furniture to see the man had his arm over his eyes and appeared to be trying to nap. Not wanting to disturb Fisher, Cal moved away toward the coffee machine to set it brewing. It was still rather early, after all and he might want some when he woke up.
