Moving was pretty easy when you didn't own that many things to begin with. That was Neo's takeaway, anyway. Just as he was finishing up with the closet, Peach walked in, carrying his other things. "Oh hey, looks like you're all set up here," she said, taking a look around. "That one's yours, right?"

She pointed to the futon where all of Neo's stuffed animals were. Along the wall was the little shelf where he'd put all his books. "Yep, that's the one," said Neo, nodding along with a smile.

"Great, do you mind if I just put all these there then?" She was already moving towards the shelf.

"No, that's fine," he said. "That's where I was going to put them anyway."

"Is there an order you wanted them to go in?" said Peach. Neo shook his head. He wasn't that particular about how his things were arranged. As long as it was neat enough and didn't look too bad, it wasn't an issue. Though he knew Ferdy got pretty specific about the order of his ingredient bins sometimes.

And of course gods forbid anyone touched any of the utensils in the bakery kitchen... But even though Ferdinand was their creator, that habit of his hadn't passed down to either him or Peach. Maybe they would have understood him better if it had, but as it was, Neo was glad he didn't have it. It just seemed so inconvenient to be fussing over things all the time.

Peach placed his little souvenirs one by one onto the shelf, doing a little arranging herself, but not much.

Neo watched her, though not so much because he was afraid she'd do a bad job as because there really wasn't anything else to do. When she was done, she turned to him. "How's this?" she said.

"It looks good," Neo replied. "And that's all my stuff, so... I guess we're done, huh?"

"Done?" Peach laughed. "I wish. Come on, we still have to move all those boxes into the empty closet. We were just waiting for you to clear out all your stuff to make room for it, remember?"

Neo blinked, then sighed. "Oh yeah. I forgot about that." It made sense, if he just thought about it a little. All the displaced boxes had to go somewhere, right? He'd just been too focused on the joys of new room ownership, and it had slipped his mind.

But as soon as he walked out of the room, the reality of it hit him in the form of the sight of all the boxes stacked one on top of another. "Pick one up and let's go," said Peach, who had come out ahead of him.

She was already in the process of hefting a box. The one she was dealing with looked like it was pretty heavy. "Oh, um... did you want me to help with that?" he said, watching her hesitantly.

"No, just grab a different one. Heck, grab that one there; I'm pretty sure it's just old clothes so it shouldn't be that bad." Neo didn't immediately do as she said, opting to watch her a little longer just to make sure she was fine, but she managed to lift the box without falling over or anything.

Which... might have been better than Neo could have hoped for on his own with a heavy load. But then, Peach had always been sturdier than he was. Even Neo knew that much.

"Alright," he said, and moved toward the box that Peach had assigned to him. He eyed it for a moment, trying to gauge its weight and determine the best approach for tackling it. It would be kind of a shame if he got an easy box and managed to fall over trying to pick it up anyway.

He didn't manage to come up with a strategy or anything though, so after a moment, he decided he'd probably wasted enough time putting it off, and just... tried to get his hands around the box. Peach had taught him how to lift with his legs, which he made a valiant attempt at doing, but he was pretty sure he ended up lifting with his back anyway.

Still, he had managed to lift the box without incident! It wasn't what he'd call light, but it was almost certainly lighter than what Peach was carrying.

He shifted his grip, since it felt a little precarious, like the box might slip out of his hands if he started walking. When he felt more sure of his grasp on the box, he headed slowly to the newly freed up closet. He could have walked faster, but Neo was focusing on two things: not dropping the box, and not tripping.

He couldn't see his feet. Walking shouldn't have been any harder in spite of that, since it wasn't like he looked at his feet most of the time, and yet...

Somehow, the fact that he no longer had the option to do so meant that he was suddenly that much more conscious of it. And he did trip more than the average person, or so he'd been told. Apparently it wasn't the sort of thing that just happened to people, at least not with the same level of frequency.

His slower pace meant that Peach was already coming out from the closet when he reached it. She gave him a look over and said, "Just put yours on top of the one that's already in there."
