Return to Jawan, the Sea City

{Okay... it's been settled. I just PMed her saying she could possibly come in later for a mini-plot or something. :c
Let posting resume as normal.}

The woman diverted her attention to the questioning lady, her eyes calm with a cool steel glare that she gave only to those she felt a strange, unfaltering foreign respect for. That female, standing so underneath her, was a strange yet interesting individual.
"I take your suggestion in heed, miss."
The captain lazily got up, the startlingly un-heavy stargoyle flapping off her shoulders into the great skies before them. She dusted off her camouflage trousers, taking off dried crisps of blood leftover from a previous liquid-drenched battle with the captain of the Bloodfang (of which she had won in pure haste, there was a gold pickup in the Dead Sea she needed to make) and proceeded to stand with her two sandaled feet out at the two sides of the figurehead, gazing at the small crowd beyond her wake. The females brown sharp-edged pixie hair fluttered in the breeze, all while clearing her throat. It was a small and strangely silent moment, eyes focusing on the series of beings before her chrome coloured eyes. Must she repeat the fact in her head that no one here had ever met one another, and had all just suddenly...vowed to be together on a ship, sharing the achievements and losses of the crew combined, together, like a big disgruntled family.
"Of course..." She began to bark orders, like the captain that everyone expected and had hopefully wished to see on this journey.
"Everyone! Ship! Now! We must embark!"

Traunt grinned, then ran at the rope ladder, fighting to make it before anyone else. Quickly, he grasped the rungs, clambering up the side of the ship. At last! The adventure began! Craimond, too, was flapping her wings, anxious and excited.

[6, 6]

Crossing my heart
Open wide
You're my crystal and clover
All of me
Honestly
Is dedicated to hold you

Swear to God
Double knot
What would you do if I stole you tonight? (Ahh ahh)
Why waste time? (Ahh ahh)

'Cause the world goes on without us
It doesn't matter what we do
All silhouettes with no regrets
When I'm melting into you
'Cause I belong in your arms
I belong in your arms

The Hollow Tali flicked one ear at the captain. "What if we're already on the ship?"he muttered sarcastically, tail waving behind him. He glanced at Aina, still awaiting her response, but he figured throwing a bit of attention towards his 'new' captain might be a good idea.

"Aye, aye, ma'am,"he called, giving a half-hearted salute, which included flicking two fingers from his forehead in her direction. "Anything you want done in particular? Not all of us are born with the wind in our hair and the sea salt on our clothes."He cracked a sardonic smile, eyes glinting sharply.

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!

Jask didn't need to speak. He just followed orders, and moved onto the ship, one hand resting on the shoulder of the girl he'd rescued. Without any hesitation at all, he started right in on the usual chores of a ship in port. Seemed that he knew his way around one of these things, somehow. In truth, he'd taught himself ship-savvy from various traders he got his medications from. Completely without telling his father. Not like the old man saw much of a future in the healing arts. But that was a sticking point in the relationship that strained the bonds between them. A sticking point he'd rather not think of. But he had the shirt on his back, a fresh change of clothes in his medical kit, and all the medicinal herbs and chemicals he could need for a journey. Of course, if they stopped, he'd restock. He knew from the tales of other ship doctors that being the caretaker of a pirate's health was one of the most grueling, taxing jobs out there. One that Jask would tackle with gusto. He wanted adventure. He wanted to be able to look at his work and be proud of himself. But he also wanted to operate outside the joke that his father called 'law'. Looting. Pillaging. And sailing the seas with one's companions, and not a care in the world what people think. Yes. That's the life he'd wanted to lead for a long, long time now. And that life would finally be his. However...
His eyes strayed to his charge. He'd care for her. Raise her. Make her akin to his daughter. That is, if that's what she wanted. He wouldn't blame her for wanting to part ways. And to tell the truth, he was only 29, not much older than she. Whatever. Fathers and daughters had no real ages, did they? Gaps were common. He could say one thing for certain, though. Anyone on this ship that tried to mess with her would wind up with one hell of a headache after that meal. He'd ALSO heard from the veterans he'd talked to, that the ship's doctor was also, usually, the cook - as the two jobs were close to each other. Health. It was going to be HIS job to watch out for these people. And the first thing he'd do when he got some free time would be to learn everyone's names, and existing medical conditions. After all, it IS much easier to treat someone for a gunshot wound if one knows that they're allergic to the medication you have. Gives you options, as well as obstacles. And the last thing he'd want to do was kill one of these people with the wrong treatments.
