Keltor laughed again, collapsing onto Lasha and half pinning her, half nuzzling her. "So did your dad teach you a bunch of unbeatable moves then, huh?" he asked playfully, grinning down at her, mismatched eyes glinting with secret plans.

"Hah!  Yeah, right.  After my paw got broken, he wouldn't let me out of the nursery much.  And I only saw him and Aunt Wyra wrestling once, shortly after my sister, brother, and I came home from... that one place." Lasha said, purring as Keltor nuzzled her.  "So, I'll admit that my knowledge is fairly... basic." She added, looking back into his eyes.

Keltor just grinned wider at Lasha. "All the better, huh. It'll be easier to beatcha, huh." he taunted, keeping her pinned as he nuzzled her again. "Dad never taught me any moves either, but I'll still beat you, huh." he added, smirking.

Lasha grinned as she attempted to wrestle her way out from under Keltor.  "If there is one thing my father taught me, it'd be 'Never give up'.  So... I'm not gonna go down easily!" She said, still grinning from ear to ear.

"Well then I'll just have to take you down the hard way, huh?" Keltor said, grinning back and nuzzling Lasha again, purposefully letting one of her hands slip free while he did so. She could probably get him off her anyway, but it'd be quicker with a little head start.

Lasha took the opportunity to swipe at Keltor with her free paw, smirking all the while.  She'd seen her father execute that same move from underneath her Calamikuhna aunt, so, she figured it could so some good.  With any luck, she would have struck him in a place where he would tumble off into the sand so she could stand up again...

Keltor threw up his paw to block her strike, but was still knocked off the Doomsberry Kuhna and sent sprawling onto the hot sand, grinning up at Lasha. "You got me." he said, laughing and starting to stand up, sitting up.

Lasha grinned, but it wasn't a smug one.  "Well... that was unexpected." She said, chuckling.  "Unexpected but totally welcome." She added, moving to sit next to him.  The sand was still fairly warm from the sand, but not to the point of burning one's paws.  "At least Fire's not calling us all back to the Arena.  I hope Father can take care of himself in the war and not, like, get himself killed.  He's the second strongest pet from my home, anyways." She said, suddenly worried for her father.

Why him, instead of Alexa?  Why him, instead of Galen or Lennox?

Keltor laughed, the warm sand reminding him of the burning sands of Wilt'no where he'd first met Lasha, when he father was tickling her... when he heard her talking about her father, he said quietly. "Don't worry, huh. He'll be fine, I'm sure he can take care of himself, huh. I'd be more worried about me tickling you, huh." he said, grinning and starting to tickle her.

Lasha gasped and tried to stifle a laugh as Keltor began to tickle her.  "Oh gods..." she said, trying to contain her laughter, but failing.  "That's, like, my main weakness!" She said, unable to make a pouty face as she laughed uncontrollably, trying to counter Keltor's tickle-attack with one of her own.

Keltor, however, didn't seem to to be very ticklish, and so wasn't affected by Lasha's tickling. "Hehe, I know it is, huh." he said, laughing as he continued to tickle the Doomsberry Kuhna. This was what life was supposed to be like- rolling around on his private beach with his lifemate, warm sand beneath them and a comfortable blanket next to them, gentle waves lapping on the shore...

Lasha laughed as she said, "Darn.  How'd you know that?" As she asked that, she remembered back in the desert...

"Why don't you and I have a little bit of a practice spar? Even if neither of us will be fighting in the war..." her father said.

"Let's see what you've got, Father." She replied.

A sidestep attack from her father sent her flying...

"No fair!" She cried, turning to leap again. This time, she rammed into Ryen, and the two began to claw at one another.

"Let... me... go!" She said.  Then, Ryen began to tickle her. Lasha laughed. "Stop it, Dad! You know my weakness is tickling!" She said, trying her best not to laugh.  Then...

"Wow, hope your enemy doesn't figure that one out on the battlefield. Be a pretty pathetic way to lose, huh?"

She blinked.  "Right.  You saw that little tickle-fight." She said.

"I sure did, huh." said Keltor, grinning down at Lasha as he continued to tickle her mercilessly. He hadn't been in Wilt'no long, but he had certainly enjoyed his stay, before whisking Lasha away from her disapproving father to the cove in Jawan, from one sand to another.

Lasha giggled before she said, "Heh.  Maybe I should try to disguise my weakness as much as I could..."  Then, though in an awkward position, she nuzzled Keltor, smiling.  Now, she didn't care about how the war had her family divided--literally [she'd heard that her mother's trainer was now on the Purine's side]--well actually, yes, she did; but she knew that her parents wouldn't let this war get in the way of their relationship.  Her red eyes glistened in the sunset, the red-orange glow of the sun turning her eyes a similar shade.

Keltor smiled at Lasha, stopping his tickling in favour of lying next to the Doomsberry Kuhna, nuzzling her back as he watched the reflection of the sun setting in her eyes. War didn't mean anything for Keltor- this beach wasn't the only secluded, unreachable area he knew about. Even if the Imperials scoured the world, killing everyone who wasn't actively on their side, Keltor could hide from the war forever, jumping from hiding place to hiding place for his entire life. He had the luxury, therefore, of total isolation from the war. A gift that he quietly swore to himself he would share with Lasha.
