"You have moaned and cried about all the things you have done, but you never dne anything about it." She began sharply. "And don't cry or you start me off to." She sniffed, her voice sofening. "You know none of us are perfect, I'm a purine right? So I was brought up to hate imperials right? So why when I collapse from heat stroke in the middle of a dessert, Its an imperial rengosett who saves me? He is the closest thing to a saint I know and even he dropped a bucket of slugs on morwenna's head."

He winced and backed away, eyes downcast. "I know not of your war," he said at last. "All I know, is that it was between Imperial, and Purine, and even then the lines were blurred. Were there not pets with Purine pelt on the Imperial side, and vice versa?" He paused again.

"What can I do, then, to make up for it?" he said at last, sighing. A trail of smoke drifted from his mouth, and the flames surrounding his body seemed to die down.

Tallie first thought was to say something comical, then though the better of it, her second though her second thought was to say "Errm?" but insteasd she went with. "I'm not sure. But we had both been brought up to hate the other species and it made me wonder how many other imperials would save a dying purine. Would I have saved him if the situation had been reversed? Thats what freightened me the most. And If I were to get taken away by some ferocious battleheart intent on killing me what would you do?"
