A beautiful river winding from a basin pool, surrounded by clearings and lush greenery. The falls themselves were the central feature of the region, which was named for them. They cascaded gracefully from the upper ridges into the basin. The cliffs around and behind them sported both rocky and grassy ledges, perfect for either lounging or diving off of. Idalani Falls are a beautiful place worthy of their association with lovers.

If you could see them.

For some reason, there seemed to be an extremely thick fog hanging over the entire area. It was an unusual fog too, warm and humid rather than a damp chill. Even more unusual, however, was the fact the river seemed to be extremely low. Leaving many rocks and reeds exposed where they would normally be underwater.

The warm fog made much more sense if you actually found your way through the thick of it to reach the falls. They were still there, in all their glory, until about halfway down. There, the water flowed into a massive dragon creature that did look like a Paragon. Though, it was rather large even for one of those. Almost the moment the water hit the red hide, it evaporated. So, the white cloud covering the area wasn’t actually fog but steam.

The dragon itself dozed sleepily across the largest of the ridges, apparently enjoying her steamy bath. Her large tail flicked slightly, and the resulting breeze snapped several branches off the nearby trees. The area behind her was already littered by plant debris, including one tree that had been completely uprooted.

With a purring chirp, the dragon stretched and relaxed herself into an even more comfortable position. It was not unlike the behaviour of a cat, actually, if the cat were the size of a house.

In her new position, the dragon nestled her head and sighed deeply in contentment. As she exhaled, the edges of her breath burst into flame, dissipating quickly in the dampness. It did not vanish quickly enough, however, to avoid completely evaporating one of the few streams of water left making its way into the basin. There seemed to be a lack of water entirely for a moment before the water above resumed its course.

The dragon did not seem to be aware of any of this, as her breaths deepened into the lull of sleep.

It was right then that a spray of water ineffectively launched itself at the dragon from the pool below. Another ball of water followed it, evaporating into mist before it even reached its target.

"Hey!" came a muted shout from below. There was only a slight twitch from the dragon, though she did not rouse from her sleep.

"I said HEY!" the voice shouted even louder. "Wake up!"

The dragon shifted again, stirring, but not quite awake. There was a long pause, and then a wave of water crashed over the dragon. Though it did not appear to bother her, she did open her eyes, lifting her head curiously.
