Seteria shook her head. She couldn't remember. She knew her name. She knew what her species was. She didn't remember anything else. She turned sat up and turned to Cecil. Her blank eyes stared at him. "I can't remember anything," she said softly. Tears came to her eyes and ran down her face. "What will happen to me?" she cried out. Her whole body shaked with sobs. The question kept repeating itself inside her head, over and over again, relentlessly.

Cecil inched toward Seteria and let her cry on his shoulder. He felt bad, and he blamed himself for her memory loss. He didn't even know her that well, and he had caused her to loose her memory. He wanted to cry as well, but he held back the tears. "I can help you," he said. He didn't know how he would help her, but he would. He patted her back lightly.

Seteria managed a smile through her tears. "You will?" she asked, hopeful. She stopped her crying with her new hope on the horizon. She knew he'd help her for some reason. It seemed impossible for him not to.

Cecil smiled. "Of course," he said. "It's my fault anyway. I shouldn't have let you go into the water in the first place." He rubbed her back gently. Then he looked toward the sky. They stars shone brilliantly in the night sky. He wanted to reach out and grab a handful to give to his fallen angel. "Can I call you Angel?" he asked the memory-less kuhna as he continued to rub her back.

Seteria pulled away from Cecil. "It's not your fault," she said. "I don't remember what happened, but it was probably my stupid fault." Her eyes searched Cecil's, looking for a hint of something. She didn't know what it was, but she looked for it. At the mention of asking to call her 'Angel' she recongnized what she was looking for in his eyes. He loved her, his eyes told her. She smiled shyly at him. "I suppose," she said with a giggle. "But may I ask why?"

Cecil held Seteria's gaze. They were still as green as when she had walked into the water and they melted his heart. He decided to ignore her first statement; he was determined to blame himself. He smiled at her. "Because I think of you as my angel that fell from the Heavens," he said sweetly. He inched forward and kissed her. His eyes were closed and it didn't last long. He tried to made it just right. He promised himself that he would make her life as perfect as he could, no matter what it took. Even if she never regained her memory. He drew back away from her face, though still close. His eyes opened and returned to her eyes.

Seteria's smile grew wider. She managed to say, "How sweet," before Cecil kissed her. Her eyes closed. When he pulled away she opened her eyes and found his. She could feel heat rising to her cheeks. She nodded her head as if to say, 'That's okay. You can do that.' Then she found herself trying as hard as she could to remember, but to no avail. She sighed and dropped Cecil's gaze.

Cecil smiled at his Angel. "You'll remember eventually, Angel," he said as if he had read her mind. "I'll be here," he said gently. The sun was beginning to rise and the sunrise was barely visible beneath the trees. The rush of the waterfall made the whole scene seem romantic, even though Seteria had lost most of her memory. "But first," Cecil said. "Let us rest." He led Seteria underneath one of the giant trees and lay down. He waited for her to lay down before he closed his eyes.

Seteria smiled at Cecil and followed im to sleep beneath the tree. She lay down beside Cecil and closed her eyes. "Good night," she whispered before she fell asleep. She wasn't use to sleeping with the sun above, but she figured she could do it, since she had been awake all night. Seteria hoped for an uneventful sleep, but she was wrong. She dreamt of going into water, thrashing araind beneath the force of hundreds of thousands of gallons of water pouring down on her. She stuggled for breath and went to take in a lungful of water. She awoke suddenly and grabbed Cecil, panting and gasping.

"Good night, Angel," whispered Cecil before he fell asleep. He was sleeping soundly when he was awoken by Seteria. He held her close, comforting her. He didn't know what happened, but he would be there for her. "Shh, shhh, it's okay. You'll be alright," he whispered quietly into her ear as she held him in what seemed to be a death grip.

Seteria whimpered into Cecil's chest. "It was aweful," she whispered. "I dreamt I was drowning it the water." She shuddered and held him tighter, if that was possible. She was so afraid, she didn't know what to do, other than confide in Cecil and hold onto him. At this point, he was like her anchor, holding her down, keeping her away from her bad dream.
