Often called the 'Lover's Triangle' for the trio of waterfalls feeding in to a triangular gorge, the Idalani area is a picture-perfect place to spend time with that special someone, with a beautiful exotic backdrop and countless rainbows dancing across the sky. (+2 Speed)

Return to Idalani Waterfalls

Postby Cynder » 10/29/2007 5:55 AM

Mystic continued to climb the sides of the cave using the ledges. They were getting closer and closer to the opening. When she finally reached it, she leaped through, loving the light. She found herself on a grassy cliff that seemed to be above the falls. There was a view of all the surrounding lands, and she found herself thinking that she had never seen something more beautiful.
"Kotta! Come quickly!", she called. "Look at this!"

I listen to the wind
to the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up well I think,
only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
But never, never never never
I never wanted water once
No, never, never, never

I listen to my words but
they fall far below
I let my music take me where
my heart wants to go
I swam upon the devil's lake
But never, never never never
I'll never make the same mistake
No, never, never, never

Kotta leaped out of the cave. "Wow..." He said nearly unconciosly. The veiw was amazing. He walked over to the edge where the waterfall was, just then relizing how tall it was. "This is amazing." He looked over at Mystic. "I wonder how many others have been here before!" He told her.
You may call, you may call
But the little black cats won't hear you.
The little black cats are maddened
By the bright green light of the moon;
They are whirling and running and hiding,
They are wild who were once so confiding,
They are crazed when the moon is riding
You will not catch the kittens soon.
They care not for saucers of milk,
They think not of pillows of silk;
Your softest, crooningest call
Is less than the buzzing of flies.
They are seeing more than you see,
They are hearing more than you hear,
And out of the darkness they peer.
With a goblin light in their eyes!

Kotta was right. "Wow" pretty much summed it up. "I don't think many others would have found this place. Or have been able to climb up here. Well...maybe some flying creatures could have found it." Mystic smiled at Kotta. "I know! We could make this our place! We could name it and everything!"

"Sounds great!" Kotta said. "Then we could just come here to meet, and no one would know!" He started thinking of names. He could make this a fun activity. "Any Ideas for the name of the place?" He asked her.

"No. Not yet. But I'm sure we'll think of some." Right now, Mystic was happy just sitting here, next to Kotta. The roar of the waterfall was no longer pounding in her ears, like it had been when she was down below. Now it was a nice, relaxing sound. It soothed her and calmed her mind. Without really thinking, Mystic moved  slightly to one side and leaned her head against Kotta's.

Kotta jumped slightly in surprise at the other kuhna's actions, but settled quickly. "You abit tired?" He asked her. He did find the water fall soothing now, and he figured she was probably just calmed by it...

"A bit." In reality, Mystic felt as if she could run a thousand miles right now without tiring. But she was calm, and she'd rather relax now. The waterfall along with Kotta's warm pelt made her feel happy.

((What do you mean?))
"We're going to have to go home sometime..." Kotta said, trying to brake the silence. "Do you know how we are toing to get back down? I mean this looks like a tall mesa with a lake if you ask me..."
It wasn't as if he was uncomforable with the quietness. He just... Wasn't used to it.

Mystic reluctantly lifted her head and looked at Kotta. "We could try to climb down, I guess...Kuhnahs are supposed to be good climbers. And it's not like we can go back the way we came." She stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff, looking down. She was trying to buy herself time. She did not want to leave this place. She turned back to Kotta and looked at him. "Do you want to try climbing down, Kotta?"

"It would be very dangerous. If the only way up is the cave, I can't see there being a way down besides the cave...." He stood up to look down the cliff at the water fall crashing below. After a few seconds he sat back down. It wasn't that he wanted to leave this place, but if they stayed too long... Nendou would come looking for him, and find him, and the way she was, that would ruin the experience. So... It would be best to end it while it was still worth remembering.

"Hm." Mystic cocked her head and looked at Kotta. It was a calculating look, with a question hidden somewhere in it. "I suppose we could go back down the way we came...and try to shift some of the rock? I bet we could do it if we work together." She smiled. "Unless you want to try to jump into the water." But she shuddered visibly at that option.

Kotta nearly laughed. "I don't think we want to kill ourselves just to get down..." He told her. "I suppose we could try to shift the rock." He Looked into the waterfall a while more before walking slowly towards the cave. "YOu coming?" He asked, turning his head back to look at her.

Mystic did not answer Kotta straight away. She sat for another half-minute, not just enjoying the view, but thinking. She didn't want to leave this place. She loved the magic of it, and the fact that she and Kotta were all alone up here, with no one else to bother them. She had already begun to feel a certain attraction towards the Arkuhna, not in a romantic way, she thought (and slightly hoped), but more in a way as though she had known him for a very long time, instead of just today. But she supposed it had to do with the fact that they got along so well, like they were meant to be good friends.
Shaking herself out of her reverie, Mystic turned and saw Kotta still looking at her questioningly, waiting for her answer. Much as she didn't want to, she had to leave. "Right, coming", she sighed. The young common Kuhna got to her feet and trotted slowly over to where Kotta was waiting.

The cave was dark, and Kotta was pretty worried that  if more ledges broke, they wouldn't be able to return to the top. They had traveled quite aways through the shadows between where the rocks fell and the top of the plateau where the water fell from. There had to be some way to shift the rock, but they didn't have many pre-made ideas, and an arkuhna's brush. Truth be told, he was right there with Mystic, wanting to stay there just the two of them, but others would probably come looking for him or what not, and he had learned not to worry them. Maybe once they were out of this trouble, and cared about that, they could plan to meet again. He thought they both would probably like that...

Re: Reflection ((Private))

Postby Cynder » 11/12/2009 6:08 PM

((Knight!! It's been over a year since we've posted on this, haha! :) Our writing skills have improved, I think.))
The silence of the cave was actually a nice change compared to the constant pounding of the waterfall. Here she could think, which was what she felt like doing right now. Dispite the fact that she found speaking to Kotta easier then she normally did with strangers, she found that she always had these awkward gaps in conversations that sometimes went on for what seemed like hours. It hadn't bothered her before now, but for some reason this time it did. She wished she could think of something interesting to say. Was she boring?
"I hope we'll be able to come back here again", Mystic said hesitantly. I wish he would start a conversation instead of me. It would make things so much easier. "It might get harder to climb, and we wouldn't want to put too much stress on the ledges. It might be easier if we had wings. Well...we do have wings, but not ones that we con fly with. I wish we did sometimes, though. Do you ever think about having legit wings? Like giant feathery wings. That would be amazing." Great, now that she was talking she sounded extremely stupid. AND she had actually used the word "legit". Nobody used that word, except Cynder, and come to think of it, that's probably who she had picked it up from.
