Anna jumped as she heard someone cry out.  It was a ear piercing sound, as if someone was dying.  "What in the world could be making such an awful noise?"  she thought as she walked toward the sound.  As Anna neared the old bridge, she saw a Kihmera, but it seemed different from any others that she had seen before.  It was as if this one was deaths messenger itself.  The creature reeked of death and decay.  She was afraid to approach it, but she did all the same.  "Who are you?  And where did you come from?"  Anna asked as she came up to it.  She knew that she was well within it's striking distance, but for some reason, she knew that it wouldn't strike.  The Kihmera had obviously made a long journey from wherever it was from, and all she thought about was helping it, and then making sure she was safe.

Anna immediately saw that the creature was somewhat hostile, and probably thinking that she was going to harm it in some way.  "Hey, I'm not going to strike, not as long as you don't.  I don't know where you're from, but here nobody but, and only possibly, a very grumpy Battleheart would lash out at an innocent person."  Anna certainly wasn't hostile, she was far from it really.  That was probably why she was shocked by the way the creature reacted to her like that.  "Hey, so do you have a name?  Mine's Anna."  It seemed like it would be fun to explore a bit with him, and since Anna liked her head just how it was, she decided to try to make something like a friendship with the Kihmera before they got started.

A stuck up, that was for sure.  Anna had known that this wouldn't be easy, but she wasn't going to be taken over like that.  She didn't know what came over her at that second, but she felt the true power that many Hollowhearts with to feel, and she pounced on top of it.  She pinned him down, not caring about what happened next.  She had a point to prove, and this seemed like the only way to get through to someone like him.  She felt the power surging through her, and had to fight to control it as she said,  "Fine, no need to tell me.  But know this.  Even if I am timid, I will kill.  I have no problem with it, I simply wish to avoid it if possible.  In this case, I will only if you give me a reason to."  She said the almost emotionless, bluntly and uncaring.  For it was true.  She would kill anyone without a second thought, but she tried at least to look for another way out before resorting to such a bloody commitment.  "So, are we clear with that?"  She wanted to help, and if this creature wanted to know something, she might as well tell him what he wanted to know.  "Anyway, with that over, I know this place because I was born here.  I've wondered around the lands a couple of times, but even with little experience, I know the place well.  Now, if you want more out of me, you'll tell me about you now.  Where did you come from, who or what are you looking at, who are you yelling at, since no one's here, and what the heck your name is."

((Sorry, but she has some anger issues when men try to take advantage of her just because she's a girl and doesn't like to attack.)

The horrible memories explained so much about Thanatos, but at the same time brought Anna to a realization that the two were somewhat alike.  She had come from a world like his, but not near as bad.  It was ruled by lesser demons, but the people were not killed or tortured as severely as in Thanatos' world; they were simply slaves.  They had no say in what would happen to them, but the masters were never as cruel as those she saw in Thanatos' memories.  Anna had escaped and emerged at the hut one day, and since then, she was always willing to help others, but this time, she wanted to help more than ever before.  "Thanatos, I see now why you are how you are, but that doesn't explain why you were talking to yourself, or how you got here, not exactly at least.  Do you remember anything else?"

(Anna was from a slave world, but nothing like Thanatos' world, that's for certain.   )

"A pointless fool," Anna thought to herself, "but one who needs help, regardless of what he thinks."  She finally decided to simply trail very far behind him.  That way she wouldn't have to feel bad if something were to happen to him.  Anna took to the air, simply hovering there for a minute or two, then starting off.  She swooped in and out of the numerous trees along the paths, enjoying the blast of cool wind and tree scents, but knew that she should try to keep track of Thanatos.

"Now that's a sight.  A big Kihmera who hates water."  Anna said to herself as she came down for a landing.  Allowing Thanatos to get a bit farther ahead, she went and lay in the water for a second or two, cooling herself off some.  Once out and dry, she decided that she might as well make sure that he didn't get himself into any trouble.  "Hey, it can't hurt to try."
