Sauron found himself at Idalni Falls, the lovers' triangle. He looked around him. The falls were so wonderful! The little kuhna was so excited though! He had been told to come here to meet a girl. A girl! He wondered who it was. Well, not who, he knew her name, but rather, what she looked like. Would she be pretty? Her name was pretty. He tested it out in his mind, Janessa, Ja-ness-a. "Janessa," he said the name out loud. It was pretty. He hoped she was as pretty as her name. He sighed and looked around him. Couples were getting together all around him and dispersing off into the dense foliage around him to go do whatever it was they were doing. He really wasn't concerned as to what they were doing. He wanted to meet Janessa.
He started to pace back and forth on the soft grass. Where was she? What time was it? Was she late? He didn't know if she was late, as even he didn't know what time it was. He had just been told to show up and meet her. Would she recognize him? How would he know who Janessa was? He would have to start asking random strangers if they were Janessa if she didn't show up soon.

Janessa was nervous. She had basically no idea why Isabel had told her to go here. The lovers' triangle. Ewww. And all Janessa wanted to do was nap in some sun beams, not prance around at Idalani Falls. Of all things for Isabel to do, she was least expecting this.

Isabel had said she'd meet another kuhna. That was a little exciting, worth a look. Seeing the circumstances, it would most likely be a male. Great. What if he was dumb? Or something like that. It would be horrible. And Janessa was bound to trip and ruin something. It was just simply going to happen. Or maybe she'd do something worse...

When she saw a lone kuhna, she knew it was most likely the one she was supposed to meet. And he was handsome. Oh boy, this was going to be messy. She walked up to him--more edged, actually--and spoke in a tiny voice. "Are you Sauron?" Janessa blushed, making her look more shy than she was.

Sauron's thoughts were interrupted by a small voice. 'Are you Sauron?' He stopped pacing and looked for where the voice came from. He saw a cake kuhna not far away with a shy expression on her face. He smiled. Maybe this was Janessa? He said the name over again in his head. It was such a pretty name!
"Yes," he said happily. "I am Sauron. You must be Janessa." He smiled again, flashing his pearly white teeth. This girl looked similar to a girl he met at the park once. He wasn't sure what her name was, maybe it was Frosting? He wasn't sure, but they had had a wonderful time playing in the snow. And this new girl was much prettier. Her eyes seemed to sparkle, he liked that.

He seems nice, she thought. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. "Uh, yeah, I'm Janessa." She gave him a pleasant smile. She sounded a little more deflated than usual, but it was because she had [stupidly] been tricked. Janessa wasn't exactly the smartest person in the world, but she still should have known.

She wondered if he knew why they were here. The kuhna scratched her paw nervously. She was making things awkward, but it was almost bound to be awkward anyway. She glanced around, admiring the pretty waterfall and the gorgeous scenery. This was probably the most beautiful place she'd ever been to. On maybe the worst reason. Well, maybe not the worst, but definitely not her choice.

"It's nice to meet you, Janessa," he said with another smile. He just loved saying that name. He wasn't sure where to go from there though. He wanted to say something, but couldn't think of what to say. "Um, do you want to go for a stroll around the falls or something?" he asked. Total fail, he thought. That sounded totally lame. He smiled again nonetheless, trying to hide his discomfort. He wanted this to be a good day with Janessa.

Janessa blinked. Yes, very awkward. "A stroll would be... nice." She strangely had trouble with her speech. He seemed to make her nervous... That was special. And very rare, too. The kuhna had a feeling this day wouldn't be so bad.

But then there was her doubts.

Sauron smiled again. He was smiling a lot today. Maybe because he was happy. "This way," he said gesturing toward one of the paths leading from the area with a tail. He walked over to the path. "You coming?" he asked when he noticed that she hadn't walked with him.
Maybe she didn't like him, that was why she hadn't followed him. He was worrying himself too much. But he was nervous. This girl was so pretty, maybe she thought she was too good for him. He shook his head. Stop thinking like that, he told himself. He smiled again, trying to hide the worry in his eyes.

Janessa nodded and ran forward, catching up with Sauron. He seemed to be smiling an awful lot... Well, this was a happy place. Or something like that. But he seemed nervous too. Janessa smiled reassuringly at him, trying to say she wasn't rejecting or arrogant.

"So do you come here a lot?" Oh god. What had she asked? That he came here a lot? To Idalani Falls, the romantic setting? This wasn't going as smoothly as she thought it would. No, told herself it would. "Oh... That didn't sound good... Sorry." She paused, attempting to find a better way to phrase her question. She came up with nothing, and just moved on. "I meant... Nevermind, forget it." She looked away at the woods, obviously embarrassed.

"Um, well, no," he said a little nervously with a chuckle. This was really getting awkward. He noticed that she sounded almost as nervous and embarrassed as he did. Maybe it wouldn't work out. But he wanted to know this girl. He wanted to know about her and see if she had another side to her, other than shy.
As they walked along the path he though of things that he could say. Or he tried to think of things to say. He was so frustrated with himself. He was never this quite! "So, um, where are you from?" he asked. He felt like such an idiot. 'So, um where are you from?' Gah! He needed to clear his mind.

Janessa wasn't normally this shy, and she didn't think this guy was so shy either. "I actually have no idea where I'm really from... My owner found me. In the slums." She had a distant look in her eyes as she spoke. It was true. Isabel had found her as a tiny newborn kit hidden in the slums, and had taken her home. She had been cared for and taught the ways of light, rivaling her dark background. "What about you?" Janessa asked with another smile.

"Well, I, um, uh," Suaron stuttered. He hadn't expected his question to be put back on him. "I-I um, really don't know," he said. "I don't remember much of my past," he admitted. He hated how nervous he was! He needed to keep the conversation going. "I caught a fish the other day," he said happily, changing the subject. "Down in the pond by my home," he added. It was random, but he needed to keep talking. The more he talked, it seemed, the more relaxed he became. As he walked along his eyes strayed from the path before him. He kept glancing as Janessa and the falls. But mainly at Janessa.

Janessa understood his awkwardness, then laughed at his random statement. "A fish, huh? I don't really kill animals... There's no need, since I eat only sugar." She said good naturally. Unless perhaps she would give it to another creature back home. Neleah ate fish, so maybe it wouldn't be a waste. "It's so lovely here, don't you think?" She absently said. She almost got why this beautiful place was such an attraction for couples, but not quite.

"Oh," Sauron said. "I like eating fish, but sugar is one my top things to eat list as well," he added a little awkwardly. He looked around him some more. The trees were so tall and green, they were magnificent to behold. "Uh, yeah," he said. "Really lovely." He wasn't lying either, it was a lovely place to be. "Though I reckon it depends on who your with, if you find the place lovely," he added. "I know someone who wouldn't enjoy this place at all, he finds company and scenery repulsive." He was blabbing now. And that was such a stupid comment! Why had he said that anyway? He didn't even know what he was talking about anymore.

Yeah, this was turning out to be one heck of a party. "I really don't like people myself, but sometimes they're okay." Janessa smiled at him. He seemed rather nice. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad... If she didn't trip and kill someone, that is. Eh, who knew what was going to happen? Maybe nothing. "Do you swim, by any chance?" She asked with a mischievous smile as she glanced at a lake. She had that evil gleam in her eye. Might as well make the best of it, if she was going to be here all day.

Sauron hoped he hadn't offended Janessa in any way. He glanced sideways at her and noticed she was looking at something in the distance. He looked in that direction as well. Maybe that was why she had mentioned swimming? "Actually, I do," he said with a smile. "I'll race ya," he said with a smirk. Before she had a chance to reply, Sauron began to run toward the lake. It was far enough away that it made a pretty good race, but close enough that they wouldn't be exhausted by the time they got there.
