Janessa grinned and bounded after him. She had soon caught up with him and was now by his side. She continued to run, her muscles rippling under her shiny coat. She panted, nearly reaching her limit of physical stress. She reached the lake, but saw Sauron was already there. She threw on a fake pout, but couldn't really reach her full potential because she was breathing so hard. "Hey... I thought... Guys were... Supposed to... Let the girl... Win." She finished, still grinning like crazy.

"It wouldn't be fun if the girl won all the time," Sauron said with a smile. "It'd become too predictable." He couldn't wipe the grin off his face. With the thrill of running still in his system he trotted over to the edge of the lake. He was sure he looked silly, trotting like he was, but he wanted to make Janessa laugh some more. He loved her laugh. He looked into the water. It was so clear he could see the bottom. There were rocks at the bottom and fish swam around him. It was so cool, he had never been able to see the bottom of a lake. "Janessa, come look at this," he called over his shoulder. Then he turned back to watch the fish swim and the various water plants sway in the water.

Janessa nodded in agreement, getting her breath back. "Predictable is bad." She giggled at him, watching him walk tot he shore. Seeing that he was admiring the lake floor, [?] she leaped over and looked too. She dipped a paw in the water, causing the surface to ripple. The lake was chilly, but not freezing. Perfect for a warm day like this. Janessa smiled again, just as mischievous as before.

Sauron caught the mischievous smile on Janessa's face this time. Maybe they could have some fun in the water. He jumped into the clear water and the water splashed out all over Janessa, or at least he assumed it splashed all over her. He grinned mischievously back at the cake kuhna still on the bank. "Aren't you gonna get in?" He teased from the water. "It feels really nice," he said with another smile. "Nice and cool," he added, trying to tempt her to get in the water. He splashed water at her playfully, hoping to get her wet a bit.

Some water splashed onto Janessa, and she knew it was Sauron. She grinned again. "Oh, now you're in for it." She jumped in, then playfully splashed him back. This was actually kinda fun. She laughed freely. Now that she thought about it, he might make a good boyfriend. Or... Dare she even say it? A good... father. Okay, now she was just being stupid what made her think that he even liked her at all? No, he liked her, she could see it in the way he looked at her.

Sauron chuckled and splashed playfully back at Janessa. His eyes sparkled with playfulness and he wore a near constant smile now. Not only was she good-looking, but she was fun too. He chuckled as she tried to splash him back. The water hit his face and he shook his head. Water droplets flew all around him. He dove under the water and came back up. He was completely wet now. He grinned, this time his smile was a little sloppy. He shook his head again, sending water droplets flying once more. He chuckled happily. Then Sauron then let himself tred water. He noticed that he was slowly drifting closer to Janessa as the water splashed around them, but that really didn't bother him. He wouldn't mind being closer to her. He just hoped she wouldn't mind being closer to him.

Janessa continued the little splashing war. She also continued to giggle and laugh and smile, loving how he was doing the same. He had such a nice laugh... And such a nice smile... He was drifting closer to her. Hm. How to keep him interested? She gave him her trouble-making grin and dove underwater, swimming fast towards the middle of the lake. Hopefully he would follow.

So she wanted him to chase her. Sauron smirked. So be it! He dove under the water after her, splashing up water behind him. He followed her the best he could by the sound of her legs moving beneath the water. When he surfaced for air he noticed her several yards ahead of him. She was a fast swimmer. He dove back under and pushed himself further. He was getting closer! He surfaced once more. "I'm gonna get you!" he called to her playfully. This time he doggy, well, kuhna paddled so he could keep an eye on where she was going.

Running out of air, Janessa paused and surfaced, gulping in air and then returning underwater. She continued to swim quickly, then she reached the center. The water was at it's murkiest and it's coldest here. "Too late, I already beat 'cha." She laughed. Seriosuly. This was fun. He was still far behind her; the doggy paddling was not improving his speed much. She was still smiling, but the effort was making it fade a little.

Sauron put on a pouty face before he dove under the water to swim faster. He was soon at the middle of the lake with Janessa. It was the deepest part and he was no where near touching the bottom. It frightened him a bit, but he was a pretty strong swimmer. He shivered. "It's colder out here," he said.

Janessa grinned, slightly unsure. "I know. Why else would swim all the way over here?" Inside she was nearly paralyzed. But she still swam closer to him, smiling sweetly all the way. God, she must be going crazy. Why on earth would Janessa of all people do this? Out of character and insane. How lovely.

She hoped he wouldn't mind. Otherwise she would just look like an idiot, and that would be the end of that. She could just go home and read. But he was so... There was nothing that could really describe it. Though probably wonderful might work.

"Good point," Sauron said with a smile. Sauron noticed that Janessa was getting closer to him. Perhaps she was as interested in him as he was in her. "Too cold for you?" he asked with a playful grin. He swam a little closer. If he got closer to her, she would be warmer. He hoped she didn't mind his closeness. If she did, well, that would be bad.

"I'm freezing." Janessa said with a flirtatious smile. Okay, it wasn't going too bad right now. I mean, he came closer himself. She was pretty sure he knew what she was doing. But then again, maybe he didn't. She kept slowly swimming closer, until they were very near each other.

Sauron grinned. "Well, then, why don't we keep each other warm?" He wasn't too cold himself, but he was getting there. They were already very near touching, so all the kuhna had to do was wrap him arms around her. Well, it sounded that simple. He had never been this close to a female before, and he was a little nervous. He had no idea what he was doing, he was just doing what felt right to him. He just hoped what felt right to him felt right to Janessa. Finally, after little debate in his mind, he wrapped his arms around Janessa's waist. He hoped she didn't feel too awkward. "That better?"

Janessa knew what he was going to do before he did. Okay, maybe not before, but she had a feeling this was coming. She smiled happily and nearly giggled, but thought that would be too much and held it in. Her eyes were shining again, that nervous excited childish gleam. She wrapped her arms around him in turn, hoping that he wouldn't mind. The kuhna just rested her head on his chest and sighed. "Yes, much better." She hoped--prayed, even--that he wouldn't mind her being so close. That he might actually, you know, like it.
