"Well?" He said, "lets get a move on." So he started to walk along hoping that everyone would get into formation. He really didn't like the idea of being in the back. It's like they were planning on getting rid of him first. But hopefully with his strength that wouldn't happen. He then muttered some unintelligible words under his breath and a witch light appeared a few feet in front of him. "Here now we have light and we can see. But when we get to close to the enemy I'm going to put out okay? Any objections" And yes he did have a big vocabulary. Scary!

"I would not mind scouting," she said calmly, smiling.  "After all, in my Clan, I was one of the best scouts that there was--not to brag or anything," she said quickly, offering a slight bit of a nervous chuckle as she looked back to Stella and Chaotic, and trying her best not to flatten her ears against her skull when the Khimera had exploded.  She just let it roll off of her back.

"I guess we should be on our way, then," she said.

Zeru turned back, his brows raised.  "Well, I'd be honored to have such a scout with me."  Motioning for her to come to his side, he set off, following the tracks.  The further in he got though, the darker it became.  The trees were clustered together so tightly that the little light that came through did nothing for him.  Turning to the Kuhna beside him, he asked, "You wouldn't happen to be able to create some light of something, would you?  I don't want to risk an ambush because other predators have the darkness working for them."

If you knew knew what the bluebirds sang at you
You would never sing along
Cast them out cause this is our culture
These new flocks are nothing but vultures

Because they took our love and they filled it up
Filled it up with Novocaine and now Im just numb
And don't mind me, Im just a son of a gun
So dont stop, dont stop until your heart goes numb
I dont feel a thing for you

Stella was glad when she learned that the Kuhna would stay with Zeru at the front. While she didn't know anything about her, she still looked rather frail and Stella was glad that she would stay away from Chaotic.

"Come, Chaotic, we're leaving! Stay close to me, there will be more chaotic things happening in the back than at the front!" Stella started walking, hoping that Chaotic wouldn't go jumping all over the place.

Chaotic let go of the mudhole she had found and started bouncing after Stella, splattering mud everywhere. "Ooooh! I'm here! And jumping! I'm here and jumping! Here and jumping and waiting for chaotic things!"

It indeed quickly became darker, but that didn't phase Chaotic much. Still, the Fellox couldn't see in the dark any better than the rest of the group and since she bounced all around her sister, she smacked headfirst into trees here and there. Stella only chuckled, amused, and Chaotic didn't seem to mind the bruises at all. "Heeeeey, Stella! I fooooound--ooph!" - another tree - "I foooound another treeeeeee!" - smack, crash - "And anoooooother one! I'm such a good lookout!"

"Indeed you are", Stella agreed. Totally useless, as usual, but at least her sister was kept busy. "Some light would indeed be nice, though. I have no means of creating any, sadly." The walking through the forest wasn't all that bad for Stella, since she was used to Whisper Forest, but she agreed with Zeru; the Turkezillas would probably ambush them like that (and with Chaotic screaming loud enough to alert anyone in a mile-long radius).

(OOC: May be a bit slow in posting for the next two days. I have stuff going on. Forgive my slowness.)

Adey took in all the names and committed them to memory. Hopefully she wouldn't forget again. She grumbled a bit at Firemantra's roaring, imagining what would happen if a Turkezilla heard that and found the group. It was a good thing she had wings, since she could fly off if she was in trouble. But at the same time, she'd feel guilty for fleeing from the group if they were under attack.

"I'm fine in the middle," she said, after hearing the formation plans. "I'll help keep an eye out for things, I guess. And I'll fight if I have to." She recalled a day where Azrael had tried to train her in the use of weaponry...that sure didn't go well...

(Nngh! I'm alive! Thank you for not kicking me oooout! T uT   I was very ill. And I haven't read the pages of posts before this, save for Draizie's, so poke me if I'm needed? o3o;)

The Kamo Kuhna shook out his fur and twitched his tails excitedly. "Oh ho, watch and be amazed~" he said as he trotted after the Ghastly. Jekonah didn't care that he was a boy... he was a pretty boy, worth impressing.
He had no trouble with keeping up woth the sizable group at first, seeing as he actually was rather fit, but he began to get sidetracked. What if he were to go off by himself and find his own big bad Turkezilla? He'd be sure to impress them all!
As he half-noticed the disappearance of the lead Kuhna out of the corner of his eye, the Kamo pressed his nose to the dirt foolishly, attempting to pick up one of the bird's trails.

(( wait are we walking and we've split into two groups or what? Also I feel like this group thing is confusing me. So i'm going to split up.))

Seeing the group be all lahdy dahdy made Firemantra sick. So when they passed right over a pair of Turkezilla tracks he was mad. He then noticed that when they moved on that they did not call for him to catch up. Firemantra then got a smirk on his face. The group was really crampin his style so he just followed the tracks and hopped the group wouldn't come after him. Now he was all alone ecept for his witch light. Ho hum. He could make it by himself. So he just walked on.

As Ares walked along he noticed that the other kuhna that was supposed to be going with them was shoving his nose in the ground. Hmmm, that was odd. Maybe he smelled something? Ares wasn't sure if he found anything or not, so he didn't call out for the lead to stop, he didn't want to feel foolish for having them stop for nothing.

"Hey,"
he said, addressing the kamo kuhna. "I noticed you seem a little, well, lost, I suppose. I'm Ares, in case you didn't catch my name," he added with a smile. "Did you find something?"

((Chayden, we split into groups, you're with me, Thunder, Soriana, and Firetra. If you want to be. :) And seems to me Firetra just split off though. You're welcome to do the same, if you don't want to be in a group. Whatever you wanna do. :) ))

And I was runnin' far away
Would I run off the world someday?
Nobody knows
Nobody knows, and
I was dancing in the rain
I felt alive and I can't complain

After the other Khimera stalked off on his own, Risk sighed with an obvious air of impatience. He was reacting rather harshly. But the other fellow was too outlandish to be believed. They had been simple orders--stay in back, cover the kuhnas, and when a Turkezilla approaches, attack it. This guy wouldn't have even made it in to the academy. He would never have gotten past the recruiters, or the trainee supervisors... He nodded gruffly at the remaining party members--the two practically defenseless kuhnas and the lone Garudor which were now in his stead. "Change of plan. You lot, get in front of me. Don't deviate more than two and a half feet in any direction unless I tell you to." He hesitated. "I'm sorry about this. I'd assumed we'd have better reinforcements. If at any point you wish to return to the other group, I will escort you to them myself--provided we're in range. Adey, if you would be so kind as to assume Firemantra's position?"

(Firetra, I don't mean to be a jerk, but I am sensing a bit of godmodding going on. None of us ever mentioned walking off without you or ignoring you. So unless we state thusly in character, we didn't do it. If you want to break off from the group, you're more than welcome. The rules clearly specify that you can role-play with others or by yourself.)

The King of carven stone,
The lord of silver fountains

His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung.

The streams shall run in gladness,
The lakes shall shine and burn,
All sorrow fail and sadness
At the Mountain-king's return!

(Thank you, Jobie~ Buuut... -runs-Jekonah's gonna go... attempt to show off. And probably get his head bitten off by a Turkezilla o~o)

Jekonah lifted his muzzle from the ground and appraised those around him. What, exactly, were they doing? He couldn't quite tell from where he was, but he wanted to make at least as much noise as they were. The Kuhna would rather not have his head bitten off by some rabid Turkezilla, though... This was going to take some figuring out.
"What to do, what to do..." he muttered to himself, scuffling his paw around and amusing himself by trying to fit it into a gigantic track left by one of the birds. "This soil is pretty impressionable."
Jekonah smiled (half because he had gotten an idea and half because he had used a word more than three syllables in length). He would try to find out what direction the Ghastly Kuhna had gone in, and see where that led him.

Triskelion couldn't stop the young fellow. He couldn't force him to stay; his will was his own. Still... "I would strongly advise you remain with us. Going off on your own could get you in serious danger--unless you're in possession of some kind of supernatural hocus pocus that we were previously unaware of." The last thing the Khimera wanted was an unnecessary death on his watch. Insanely disagreeable lot, this is. The exact opposite of the team player archetype. Could that Rysiav guy have presented me with any more of an antithesis?

[9]

(Haha. I love how I originally wrote Triskelion as a James Bond-esque character, and then I turned him into Mark Valley à la Human Target. XD)

X flicked his spine's at the initial sudden noise, but otherwise made no protest about the noise. He was confident that he had nothing to fear in this forest and likewise, was able to fend off anything that Chaotic unintentionally attracted to the area. He wasn't used to the humidity or heat the jungle-like Idalani, or even Barakka as a region had to offer, but even still his claws wouldn't dull themselves over the weather. He was more worried for the scouts, but was sure that a Kuhna and Lucain were able to protect themselves during an attack.

Picking up the trail of the two scouts, X followed them further into the forest, until the noise of the other group was no more. He wasn't sure whether they could still hear their group though, with Chaotic's 'crash, yell, crash' sequence.
"Hey, Chaotic!" X trilled out, hoping to catch the attention of the Fellox. "Running into trees is totally not chaotic at all. In fact, it's rather monotonous. Running into shrubs and small would be so much more chaotic."

As an aside he added to Stella, "I'm just thinking that I don't mind the noise... but I'm a little concerned about her headbutting trees. Crashing through smaller things is probably a little more safer and less likely to induce headaches."

Stare in the darkness
Are you scared? Are you free?
I can be fair or a monster
Tell me now, which one do you need?

I can feel teeth tear into me
Rip me to pieces, rock me to sleep
I can feel eyes staring at me
Getting uneasy, ready to feed
I can feel teeth

Adey had to breathe a small sigh of relief as the fire colored Khimera stormed off. Man, I wouldn't want to have that guy around while we're trying to sneak past giant rabid turkeys, she thought, shaking her head and returning her gaze to her group. The other Khimera seemed a tad pissed at this, and meanwhile the Kuhna named Ares had approached another Kuhna in their group, who was busy sniffing at some giant bird tracks that Adey had totally missed before.

When she heard the other Khimera call her name, she looked up and listened to his ideas. "Sure, I'll take rear," she shrugged. "As long as I don't get eaten...which might be impossible in my case..." The last part of that sentence was mumbled to herself.

Jekonah was amused. "Hocus pocus? I think I'm allergic." In fact, he was bent on doing something to prove to these guys just how amazing he thought he was: he was gonna get them all somewhere. Maybe.
"Weeell, I've just had an idea. Y'know that hot piece of man candy who led us all to this place? He seems to have disappeared. He might've gone back the way we came, and if he did, then this isn't going to be much help. I was thinking that we could try and find out which way he's gone, and follow in that direction for a while on the off chance that there's some Turkezilla!"
The Kamo puffed out his chest and huffed happily. He was sure to get some brownie points, now! If only he'd been trained in espionage, or precise tracking... His knowledge in that area only covered larger beings, such as the Turkezilla.

Stella smiled at X. It seemed that not only did the Paragon really care for Chaotic, he also was trying to manipulate her for her best. Stella felt a bit bad; she thought about explaining to X how Chaotic was not only her sister but also her mortal enemy and that Chaotic had killed way too many people to deserve to be cared about, but Stella also didn't want to bore the Paragon with her dysfunctional family stories.

"It's not that easy", she therefore just offered. "But the try is appreciated."

Chaotic bounced over to them. "Buuuuut! But! But! But! We're running through shruuuuuubs all the time here! They're everywhere! Not chaooootic! Not chaooootic!" She looked around in the darkness. "Oh! There! There! Roooooock! Rooooock! I know! I'll jump backwards! I'm here! And jumping backwards! Here and jumping backwards!" And she jumped off to, probably, smack into a large rock she had spotted a bit away.

However, she never reached it. Suddenly, Chaotic vanished from sight with a loud "Weeeeeeeeee!"

Stella stopped, clearly startled. "Chaotic?" she called and made her way over to the spot. She found herself in front of a hillside which had been rather hidden in the dark (and was totally unspotable for Felloxes jumping backwards).

"I think I diiiiiiiiiiiied!" Chaotic yelled cheerfully back from down there.

Stella snorted. "You did? Great! I'll throw a party!"

"Yaaaayyyyy! A party! I'll come! I'll come!" From the sound of Chaotic's yelling, she hadn't fallen that deep and since she was really good at jumping, Stella wasn't all that worried about her sister making her way back up. "Ooooooh! I fooooound something!"

"So you did. What? A rock? A tree?" Stella tried to see anything in the darkness.

"Nooooo! A neeeeeest! I fell into a gigantic neeeeest!"

A nest? Stella looked to X. Probably a Turkezilla nest? Should they call to the scouts and check it out or just move on? "Chaotic? Can you tell me more about the nest?" she tried.

"Yeeeeees! It's a neeeest! And gigantiiiiic! It's a neeest and it's gigantiiiic! Gigantiiiic and a neeeest!" From the sound of it, Chaotic was jumping around in the nest.

Stella sighed. Useless as usual...
