Fleur smiled as Charmante floated about, her translucent blue form pulsing from time to time as she looked at Fleur again.  A happy murmur came from Fleur's chest as she whispered back, "I love you, too." She had never remembered being quite so happy--she had never been, actually; since her early days had been filled with the horrors of serial killers trying to satisfy their bloodlust.

Vetinari's murrs grew a bit louder. He thought he would pop from happiness. "I'm glad." he said. "I never thought that I would ever find someone who loved me... But you proved me wrong." He licked her cheek, her scent filling his nostrils.

Fleur smiled as she said, "After my first 'meeting' in the Facility, I didn't feel too good about being able to open up to love again--Tyxaci, his name was; and he was in love with another female known as Shyver." She chuckled as she nuzzled Vetinari again, smiling.  "I'm glad to know that I, too, was wrong." She said simply before she'd chuckle again, saying, "Galen's gonna be so jealous of me..."

"Galen is your brother?" muttered. "Or some other relation?" His sister would be jealous. She was older than him, and did not have a lifemate. She would not be very happy about this. But Vetinari simply didn't care. "My sister will be jealous as well. Her younger brother getting a lifemate before she did." He laughed a little.

Fleur nodded.  "Aye, Galen is my older brother.  All my siblings are older than me; and I have not seen my older brother Haseo or my older sister Mateus since we were in the Nursery together.  All I remember of them was that Mateus is mute." She said, chuckling at the thought of telling her brother she had a lifemate.  "Galen's half-blind, but he... well, he also knows things.  He knew precisely where I was when he came to, er... talk to me in Lambastia." She lowered her head, and Charmante reprimanded her, Stop remembering that place.

Vetinari pressed his nose into her neck fur. "You don't have to worry about something like Lambastia occurring again." he murmered. "I'll be with you." He would protect her even against an army of Battlehearts if he had to. His mind trailed down a different path. "Do you think that your mother and stepfather would approve of me?" he asked. It would be a bit awkward having them dislike him.

Fleur shook her head.  "If my mother were to appear right now, she'd be positively happy with you.  She said she'd give her blessings to anyone who would protect me from something similar to what happened to me in Lambastia." She said, smiling.  "As for my stepfather... I see no reason why he would have reason to reject you." She said, resting her head on his shoulder.

Vetinari sighed slightly with relief. "Thats a relief... I've never been good with parents. I always seem to bug them." Probably because of his habit of staring around at them until they got uncomfortable, but who knew? "My mother would be happy as well. She'd rave on about it for weeks." he chuckled.

Fleur smiled happily, nuzzling Vetinari again before she said, "Now, my son... he;d have some words to say, most likely." She chuckled, remembering her son's avid protests about her going on such a search.  "My brother would be jealous, my sister Tasera would be happy, and as for Alexa and Lennox... I've never really seen them enough to know their reactions." She said as she looked around the cave again.

Vetinari grinned. He had a step son now. "What is your son's name?" he asked. He had never pictured himself as a father, but now, the thought thrilled him. "And like I said earlier, my sister will be very jealous of me." He smiled at this too.

"My son's name is Mahj-Ahno.  He's got his father's base color and wingblades, but he got my markings and most of my coloration.  His eyes, though... I'm willing to bet that no other Lucain on Evelon has purple eyes." She said, chuckling as she remembered seeing her son's purple eyes for the first time.  "He's... just a bit rebellious, though.  He hangs around his cousin, Scarletti, too much." She added, shaking her head slightly.

Vet laughed, the sound rumbling out from his throat. Mahj-Ahno sounded a bit like himself. Rebellious, defiant... He sighed. "I have no offspring of my own. Though I have a nephew. Ravish he is called. My sister's son." He grinned. "And a bundle of trouble around young females."

Fleur's head tilted as she said, "I have heard of him... My trainer decided to help my mom and stepdad start a pack, and he's one of the members.  I am too, but only for the time being.  We are known as the Darkpaw pack.  Being one of my mother's first daughters makes me the beta of the pack, but she told us all to feel free to leave at any time." She shrugged.  "I'm not sure I want to leave Darkpaw, though.  Those of us that were the original members--my mother, stepfather, brother, half-sisters, and nephew--are all so close..." She shrugged.  Then, jokingly, she said, "Well, let's hope he doesn't decide to go after one of my half-sisters, or my cousin, Areia.  Or... or my niece, Scarletti."

"Well, I think he is off in Basantha Shrine at the moment with Ulf." said Vetinari, his voice holding a bit of contempt for the name of the second male. "He's Becca's favorite." he added, thinking of the bulky male. "Which automatically makes him leader of the pack..." Vetinari's ears went back a bit but they moved foreward again. "But since he's with Ravish, the young pup won't be too much trouble, I admit."

Fleur chuckled, but then, shook her head.  "I do believe Cimarosa, my half-sister, is in Basantha as well.  I have heard many times that the Battleheart in our Pen, Amethysta, was trying to get her to turn.  She and her minion, Noali, often call her 'The Musical One'.  All I know is that Cimarosa had better watch out, or Amethysta might say something to anger her and get her to turn against what Cimarosa knows to be good." She sighed, looking around again.  She thought she had heard something somewhere around them, but she could not be sure...
