Arkuni

A young female Arkuhna was walking by and then she stopped. She then laid down on the ground and started gazing at the sky. It's so beautiful... She thought. She laid her paintbrush down. Then a cloud that resembled a heart showed up in the sky. I wonder if love will pass by me some day... or something like that. She sighed. "Maybe someday..."

A young Hydrokhuna was enjoying a breeze, he could almost feel droplets of water from the clouds.  He inhaled deeply, smelling the grass, before opening his eyes and looking around.  Suddenly, he saw a beautiful Arkhuna laying down on the ground and looking at the clouds.  He casually walked up to her and confidently began to speak. "Hi. My name's Poseidon. What's your's?"

She didn't seem to have heard him.  He thought she would have (He wasn't the quietest in the world), maybe she was daydreaming.  He walked back to his rock and layed down, waiting. If she was going to respond, that was fine. If she wasn't, he respected her choice, no matter how much he disliked it.

He was begiining to get impatient. Why wasn't she listening to him? He was a plain Hydrokuhna, but so what, he was nice, and in his opinion, handsome.  He just didn't understand this female.

Arkuni looked and saw a good looking hydrokuhna. She blushed. "Sorry about that. I must of gone to another world." She got up and helsd out her paw. "Hey I'm Arkuni. Nice to meet you Poseidon.

He shook her paw before sitting on the dew sprinkled grass. "That's okay, I dream a lot too."  Hydrokuhnas dreamt a lot, it was in their genes, but he was no exception.  Most of his dreams were about water, and he loved to be around water when he wasn't dreaming.  He usually carried around a vial of water around his neck when he wasn't water.  "It's fun to dream," he continued, you can be things you can't be in real life, and do things you normally would find impossible." He sometimes dreamt of not having to wear shoes in the desert and when there was ice.  Being a hydrokuhna was dangerous in those situations.

"Yeah, it is great to dream..." then she looked up at the sky. "Sometimes I dream about that special someone... and I dream about sweets." Arkuni started laughing. "I love sweets!"

He smiled and started laughing.  He had a handsome smile, he had sharp, straight teeth that were pearly white.  "I love sugar," he agreed,"but Froma makes sure we only get small amounts so we don't bounce of the walls."  He couldn't wait until Christmas so he could have chocolate, candy, more chocolate, and presents.

"Yeah my owner aj does that too. But I always find a way to get some sweets!" She then stopped laughing and looked at Poseidon's eyes. She couldn't help but stare. Then she caught herself and blushed. "I'm sorry!" she said. "I didn't mean to stare at you."

"It's okay,"he replied.  "So, What other pet's do you live with?There are two other kuhnas, a fenling, a penticorn, a hollowheart, a torken, and Froma who live in the Ice Fortress."

"I live with four other kuhnas, a rattegan and a serraptor and aj my owner.
I don't have a lot of other pets at the house." Arkuni replied. "Why are you here in Idalani Falls anyway? I came here for the scenery."

"I love water,"he admitted,"It's a genetic thing.  I can't be around deserts or ice, I have to wear protective gear when I do.  We live in an Ice House, and Froma built me a room with a pool next to it to make it up to me." He grinned, he loved his aquatic themed room.

"That's great." said Arkuni. She looked at Poseidon and thought he would make a great painting.  Then she got out of dreamland and asked, "May I paint a picture of you?"

He loved attention, especially by females. "Sure,"He said smiling.  He posed, he had a handsome face, and intelligent, light blue eyes that made female kuhnas melt when he looked at them, and he had bangs that lightly touched his forehead.  His posture was that of nobility, and he carried himself with pride and confidence.

Arkuni took out her paper from her bag and picked her paintbrush up from the ground. She giggled."Okay, stand still." She started her work. She started with his head. He had a strong chin and held it high. Then she started with his body once she was done with the head. Stroke after stroke she worked on the body. When she finished with the body, she then started with his expression. This might be tough. she thought. But then it came to her. She put a smile on him then she put his nose. The part with his eyes made her have to think. She looked up into Poseidon eyes then. She looked deep and saw a light of playfulness and happiness. Then she went back to her picture and did his eyes quickly. "All done. She turned it around for him to see. "Ta-da!
